I think that gives a great visual overview representation of who is working on what, and can be drilled-into to understand more. Cons The way some metrics are calculated is dubious at best. Productive Impact sounds like something managers would want to track and respond to, but really it amounts to lines of code added and not later changed by someone else, which is a meaningless metric to think about, and changes over time, making it hard to even reason about today because the number for today may change tomorrow or next week, after I already looked at it. It has been for the last couple of years an invaluable tool for us. Cons Some of the metrics get some distortion from the fact that, as of now, weekends get computed into the data. But it's worth mentioning that their team has acknowledged our request to incorporate that function. When we did use Velocity we could measure things like time to merge a pull request that helped us to understand the problems that our team had. Cons It's very expensive if you are a small company. You can use the free trial and the charge is per seat, so if you have too many managers it will be expensive, but definitely, it will provide better visibility of your workflow.
