### "Cheap but not cheerful "

January 13, 2025

3.0

Pros

The fact it fits directly into the Wordpress website with no need for a separate form system. There is a good cost saving vs other form systems

Cons

It is extremely clunky and slow within our hosted Wordpress site - it often glitches and forms are harder to build than other form building systems as a result

Cost saving reasons. We have since switched back to Jotform.

### "Very good for basic form submission & lead collections needs"

March 24, 2025

3.0

It worked fine for basic needs. We have since changed to use forms that flow direct into our CRM systems.

Pros

It was fairly simple to use & integrate. Reporting was easy to access as well.

Cons

I dont know if there was a paid version that would have been better but we were using a free version and the customizability of the forms wasnt great as far as I could see.

### "User Friendly Forms for website "

May 15, 2024

5.0

Overall, the experience has been great. The product has been a simple fix for collecting information that we need in our daily work.

Pros

Gravity Forms is easy to set up and use. Data can easily be downloaded in CSV format, which makes it easy to transfer to other databases.

Cons

Updating the form periodically is my least favorite part of the product.

### "Best for advanced WordPress developers"

February 17, 2024

5.0

Gravity Forms is great for professional WordPress developers looking to create advanced forms for clients. The plugin pricing is very reasonable for using on multiple sites and the support has been great.

Pros

Gravity Forms has tons of customization options, hooks, and filters for advanced developers. I've done some really advanced things with the forms like complicated third party integrations using custom APIs. I use Gravity Forms because I know it will be able to handle anything I need. It is equally great for creating simple contact forms.

Cons

I can't think of any complaints about this plugin.

### "Quite Possibly The Best Form Solution For WordPress"

February 17, 2021

5.0

The ease of solving a variety of different client needs, especially on the topic of collecting payments. Setting up e-commerce solutions can take a lot of time, which can be a burden if a client just needs to sell access to a downloadable brochure or collect deposits on a workshop. With nothing more than the PayPal email address, I can set my clients up to collect payment in a matter of minutes. I also LOVE the fact that all submitted entries are stored in the database. Some contact form plugins don't store the data after sending the email, and anyone who has setup forms in WordPress knows of the deliverability issues that can arise with submission notifications. Since Gravity Forms stores the entries, I don't have to worry about lost entries. My clients know that if an important submission doesn't reach their inbox for some reason, they can always login to the site and find that submission.

Pros

I am constantly amazed the versatility of Gravity Forms. Sure, you can use it to create simple contact forms, but it can do so, so, SO much more than that. Want to create polls or surveys? Sure, that's child's play. Want to collect email addresses and dump them into your favorite email marketing Saas? Tons of software connections are baked-in to Gravity Forms (depending on your license level). Want your forms to stand out as something more than just a boring form? Yeah, go ahead and style the heck out of them using CSS. I've used Gravity Forms in place of e-commerce solutions (like WooCommerce) for simpler product/payment transactions. But wait, there's more. You can register users to your site (or register users for aspects of your site, like LearnDash courses); you can take payments on forms through PayPal, Stripe, Square, Authorize.net (and a few others); you can easily create COVID screening questionnaires (that's proven useful!); you can automatically dump your collected data into a variety of CRMs (Zoho, Agile, Capsule, probably others I have no experience with). And if all else fails, just connect Gravity Forms with Zapier where you can probably do whatever you want or need.

Cons

On the rare occasions I need support from their team, I wish there was a faster solution than email. Other than that, I haven't had any issues. Even the one time I had a project that was above my capabilities, Gravity Forms directed me to Codeable where I was able to find a developer to assist in the project.

### "Super-flexible forms package for WordPress"

December 6, 2023

5.0

Pros

Flexibility. The core features are extensive and there is a large selection of add-ons to cover most use cases / add extra functionality very cost-effectively. The quality of the code in the core plugin and official add-ons is really high, with actions/filters for everything. This provides a strong platform for any customisations required.

Cons

It's frustrating that field types can't be changed, e.g. from tick boxes to radios (and vice versa). Instead you have to add a new field and remove the previous one.

### "Gravity Forms - Not bad, but look before committing"

November 13, 2023

3.0

Overall experience is good. We've used it for 6+ years, but it is not the be all and end all of forms programs, at least not for us.

Pros

Integrated well into our Word Press site. For the most part did the job we need it to, but maybe not as "sexy" or intuitive as other programs.

Cons

Doesn't seem as robust or intuitive as other form programs, even some that are free to use.

Reason for choosing Gravity Forms

Gravity Forms was suggested by a 3rd party source and we didn't really know better at the time.

### "GF works for simple to intermediate type of data submissions"

November 10, 2023

4.0

Pros

I like the platform, the new overall design looks pretty solid and straightforward. It's easy to duplicate forms, etc. I do like that they're trying to bring more details to users to choose for each part of the form creation process.

Cons

The design of the platform itself still needs to be seamless, there are too many parts that we have to go and it's not easy to just work with Gravity Forms in any platform. There is no design out of the box, you have to know CSS or buy another plugin to use it and develop it.

### "We never use any other form builder for wordpress"

January 16, 2023

5.0

We've used gravity forms for our clients for YEARS. The great part is that it's so extendable that it's simple to make these ultra-complex processes in a reasonably straightforward way. I will say that clients don't tend to like the look of the interface very much and a lot feel intimidated by it, but it only takes a few minutes of training to show them the ropes and get them comfortable with it. As a basic wordpress user, who just needs a basic contact form, gravity is likely over kill to say the least, but if you need a form that has a lot of conditional logic or a form that needs to take information and move it somewhere else, gravity forms is what you've been looking for.

Pros

Drag and drop interface, easy to understand interface and options, is easy to use as a developer or someone with less experience. Interfaces with SO MANY other plugins to expand functionality (pretty much to the moon and back).

Cons

Not mobile friendly (like really not friendly), price could be a bit more accessible - but the product is really good so, it's not a dealbreaker.

### "The most robust form solution on wordpress"

November 30, 2021

We have used Gravityforms in several projects that needed integration with CRMs and webhooks, and it was a blast!

Pros

Cons

### "Plugin por excelencia de formularios"

November 9, 2022

5.0

### "I use for Ecommerce, Contests, Contact Forms, and more"

March 11, 2021

5.0

Overall I have recommended Gravity Forms to countless people and will continue to recommend it. It's the best forms solution for WordPress, hands down.

Pros

Gravity Forms is the most versatile forms I have found in 8 years of building WordPress websites. I have used it for all kinds of functions, including as a simple ecommerce platform. They have a wide variety of ad-ons to expand the functionality. Make sure you look at all of the options in your forms. I feel like many people don't fully use all of the features it offers. It's worth it to get the higher level subscriptions and get all of the add ons included.

Cons

The only issues I've had with Gravity Forms is when I wanted to do some pretty advanced CSS styling. I was trying to do something a little over my head and had some trouble finding the right code to apply the CSS too. The knowledgebase did help a lot but it was a struggle at times.

Reason for choosing Gravity Forms

Gravity Forms had far more functionality.

### "I have not found a better form builder"

December 18, 2022

We were early adopters of Gravity Forms. We helped sculpt it into the robust builder it is today. I would have no problem suggesting it to a colleague.

Pros

I love the ease of use and flexibility of Gravity Forms. My clients find it easy to use and my developers can make it do anything they are asked.

Cons

I wish Gravity Forms had a Lifetime Deal. I would happily Pay $999 for lifetime support.

### "Extremely Versatile "

October 12, 2021

5.0

Gravity Forms has allowed me to take orders, accept payments, conduct surveys, and many other contact options. It is extremely robust in the features it offers and it’s great to have an all in one solution for all my forms.

Pros

Gravity Forms is so versatile and I have used it for so many different forms and integrations. My favorite feature is the conditional logic that allows you to change the form based on how people answer. This creates a more custom experience and also reduces unnecessary questions that don’t apply to someone.

Cons

I wish there were more options for changing the look of the forms. It is possible to do through CSS and HTML, but it would be nice if the option was available when using Gravity Forms directly.

### "Best form builder on WP period!"

March 28, 2022

5.0

Pros

We've been using Gravity Forms on our agency for years. We've tried other form builders but NONE can compare to the flexibility and custom features Gravity Forms provides. We use their extensions regularly and use their 3rd party integration to send data to our CRM.

Cons

I feel some 3rd party features should be integrated with the plugin

### "Pretty good for Wordpress, but requires way too many add-ons"

November 8, 2022

4.0

Works as advertised for basic functions, but it requires too many add-ons. The development of this software also seems very slow compared to competitors that are adding new features all the time.

Pros

Works well with Wordpress. It is very flexible if you are willing to pay more for add-ons. The best forms plugin for Wordpress that is available in terms of pricing and features.

Cons

I hate that you have to purchase a number of additional add-ons in order to make the product do what is required. The add-ons are mostly created by 3rd parties, not all of whom are easy to judge in terms of credibility, safety and reliability. The features included in the main product (without add-ons) is weak compared to non-Wordpress focused competitors.

### "Great Form Tool with ActiveCampaign"

December 5, 2022

5.0

Overall Gravity Forms has been a great tool. I find it easier and more intuitive than Forminator and I'd recommend it as a form too.

Pros

I use Gravity Forms to have a better looking form on my website, and use conditional logic in the forma nd then sync it to ActiveCampaign. This works very well and I've had no issues with form entries coming into ActiveCampaign. I also love that it has a Stripe integration so payments can be taken directly through the form.

Cons

I've had several issues with the form on my website not processing sales which has resulted in lose of revenue. Apparently this was related to optimization plug-ins on my website. I have disabled those but haven't been able to test yet that this issue isn't repeating itself. Part of the troubleshooting issue is that often it was clients who told me the form wouldn't process their payment but I was unable to recreate the issue.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Gravity Forms

I went with Gravity Forms because it allows form logic and is more intuitive than Forminator.

### "Easy to use, easy to customize, embed the forms right into Wordpress!"

November 23, 2021

5.0

Overall, I love Gravity Forms the software is super easy to use and more robust than some. The backend management of the forms is nice and can easily be exported if needed.

Pros

I love the way the form looks on a website. I also like that you can customize the logos and colors of the forms. The responses are easily gathered and saved into your Wordpress site which makes retrieving them and saving them super easy.

Cons

There are more advanced features that some users may not need. Although, you do not have to use them they may intimidate others.

### "Gravity Forms is reliable forms creator for your WP website"

August 1, 2023

4.0

Pros

Very nice and clean drag-and-drop forms creator with all the elements you need. it can be used for contact forms, for registered users there is an option to create for them a form to change their details like password, name, and more. there is an option to add Captcha to reduce spam messages.

Cons

Its not integrated with Elementor, its not possible to edit it with Elementor and I have to add the forms using shortcodes, it's not very bad but it can be better if it will integrate with Elementor.
