### "Gravity Forms Review. Powerful Flexible and Built for WordPress"

May 9, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Gravity Forms has been positive. It is a reliable and powerful form builder that can handle both simple and complex use cases. While it may not be the most modern or beginner-friendly option, it makes up for it with flexibility and strong integrations. Once you get comfortable with it it becomes a very dependable tool for managing forms on WordPress.

Pros

What I like most about Gravity Forms is its power and flexibility. It goes far beyond basic form builders, allowing you to create highly customized forms with advanced logic workflows and integrations. The feature set is one of its biggest strengths. Conditional logic calculations, file uploads, and multi-page forms all work smoothly and give you a lot of control over how data is collected and processed. It integrates well with a wide range of third-party tools, including CRMs, email platforms, and payment processors, which makes it a strong choice for business use cases. From a value-for-money perspective, it is a solid investment, especially if you are running a WordPress site that relies heavily on forms for lead registrations or payments. Form creation is fairly straightforward once you understand the interface, and the flexibility makes it suitable for both simple and complex projects. Updates are consistent, and the platform is stable, which is important for something as critical as form submissions.

Cons

One of the main downsides is that it is not very beginner friendly. The interface can feel a bit outdated, and there is a learning curve, especially if you are new to WordPress or form builders. Some features require add-ons, which can make the setup feel more complicated than it needs to be. Styling forms can also be a challenge. Out-of-the-box designs are fairly basic and often require custom CSS to match your site, which may not be ideal for non-technical users. Customer support is generally good, but response times can vary depending on the issue. Compared to newer tools, it can feel less modern in terms of user experience and overall design workflow.

### "The best Wordpress form builder that I've personally worked with"

September 7, 2025

5.0

My go to form builder for Wordpress installations. Easy to work with during the build phases. Harder to share customisation with clients, who tend to be a bit freaked out by the Wordpress range of options and the way they're presented, which the Gravity Forms plugin utilises.

Pros

Incredibly powerful form builder to host within the Wordpress environment. Allows for lots of customisation and workflow adjustments over other form solutions which you'd typically embed, rather than host within your site.

Cons

As it relies heavily on the Wordpress UI, it doesn't look as pretty or intuitive as some other tools and the settings area can be a little hard to follow for novices.

### "Poor Add-on Function"

June 20, 2025

3.0

I recommended Gravity Forms to a client that accepts subscription payments online. After purchasing the plugin and the PayPal Checkout add-on, I spent hours and hours trying to get it to sync correctly with PayPal. It never did, so I ended up using PayPal's built-in buttons. Which defeated the whole purpose of purchasing GF and the add-on. Gravity Form's support tried to help, but had no explanation as to why the PayPal checkout add-on wasn't working.

Pros

Drag & Drop Builder is fairly easy to use. The options for formatting and message delivery are adequately clear to understand and use.

Cons

PayPal Checkout Add-on does not function as advertised. I recommended and purchased GF and the PayPal Checkout Add-on for a client. Even after several rounds of contacting support, we never could get the Add-on to communicate accurately with PayPal, which ended up with client subscribers not having a clearly associated Subscription tied to them. After wasting hours of time, I gave up and used PayPal's subscription buttons instead of GF PayPal Checkout.

### "Reliable, complex options - great forms for your website. "

March 26, 2026

5.0

A great experience, we have had gravity forms on our website for over 8 years now, no need to change. Works absolutely fine, reliability is key for a contact form on a website, especially in B2B SaaS like ours.

Pros

Lots of different editing options, allows us to not only have forms on our website, it sends emails to both us and the person filling out the form, automatically which really helps.

Cons

It's fine now, but it is a little tricky to set up. The initial set up is relatively straight forward, but getting all the automated emails etc set up was a little tricky.

### "Gravity Forms is a simple way to provide a backbone for basic data driven services on Wordpress sites."

June 3, 2025

5.0

Extremely positive - very stable plugin and good support. Tons of extensions and add-ons that make it powerful.

Pros

Gravity forms has been great for me as a developer and my clients for easy, data driven websites. The forms are easy to put together for my clients and I can use it with a number of extensions and plugins to display the data collected. I've been able to develop data driven sites for a variety of industries, from real estate to educational sites, and it has been the backbone for things like directories, to surveys and more.

Cons

There are a couple of challenges with Gravity Forms - one obvious one is having the ability to undo changes. Like say you accidentally delete a form input, you can't undo. I'd also like to see better ability to customize the layout - given the cost for Elite.

Alternatives considered

[Formidable Forms](https://www.capterra.com/p/175482/Formidable-Forms/)[Formstack Forms](https://www.capterra.com/p/118892/Formstack/)[Jotform](https://www.capterra.com/p/158456/JotForm-4-0/)

Reason for choosing Gravity Forms

Cost, flexibility and integration were the biggest things. The ability to tie into other add-ons was superior. Formstack I used for a long time but the cost was prohibitive, especially with a limit on forms. Jotform used to be open source, but didn't work out with support. I think we opted for Gravity Forms over Formidable because of the ease of use and add-on capabilities.

### "he Limitless, User-Friendly Solution for ‘Impossible’ Business Problems"

February 12, 2025

5.0

Gravity Forms has an amazing backend and frontend ui. It makes building forms and notifications simple as can be. It's easy for our users to navigate on the frontend. There's so many customizable options that what you can do with this feels limitless.

Pros

Gravity forms powers all of our external forms, screening, intake, etc. It's simple to use, powerful, captures all the data we need, and is attractive to boot. What once felt like impossible business problems, we've tackled solving them with Gravity Forms.

Cons

There is literally nothing I don't like about Gravity Forms.

### "Good form builder - but not sure it's worth the cost."

June 25, 2025

4.0

Gravity Forms works well! It is not significantly different than the competition, but it's a lovely and easy to use products.

Pros

Gravity Forms is easy to use, is beautifully styled, and it works well. There are loads of options and it's easy to make a custom form for any application.

Cons

Gravity Forms is more expensive than some of its freemium competitors. It is a better product - but it doesn't always make sense to use a paid form.

### "The one and only form you'll ever need"

April 8, 2022

5.0

Onboarding, Project Management, Employee Debriefs, Payment Processing, and automation of processes are all examples of how Gravity Forms is assisting us in our day to day operations, allowing us to be more efficient and lean.

Pros

Gravity Forms is the standard when it comes to creating forms for your website. We use it for Onboarding, Project Management, Employee Debriefs, Payment Processing, and automation of processes. Their conditional logic is unmatched in the form world.

Cons

Sometimes you have to add an additional plugin for a certain feature that isn't a Gravity Forms plugin, which can cost additional money. It's a little frustrating but I also understand. It allows a ton of additional features since developers can add to the myriad of features.

### "Incredibly Flexible"

December 18, 2025

5.0

It's been consistently excellent. It's always our go-to solution for form building whenever we're dealing with WordPress websites.

Pros

Gravity Forms is easy to use, incredibly flexible, affordable, and consistently reliable. It makes building everything from super simple to complex-multi page forms easy.

Cons

I do wish that they had some more built in styling issues, but that's a minor issue since everything is customizable with a bit of css.

### "The Best of Them All"

October 9, 2025

5.0

We have been using it for years and it serves our business perfectly well. We have added a third party PDF plugin to get the results of our forms.

Pros

It’s Quick and easy to get setup and going with the plugin. Creating the fields that are needed is pretty much just drag and drop.

Cons

Customization is rather limited without a third party plugin. That may not be an issue for most users.

### "Gravity Forms: Seamless Integration and Powerful Form Logic"

January 20, 2025

5.0

Overall, Gravity Forms is an excellent tool integrated into our web-based platforms to meet internal and external stakeholders where they are and modernize our intake process.

Pros

While there are other platforms I can use with Google Sheets, Gravity Form does a fantastic job of integrating with our WordPress site. Additionally, the form logic and integration with our authentication process have been easy to navigate.

Cons

If I had to choose one thing, I would wish for more preset forms or for the platform to use AI to help me build out logic. The process can take a bit of time to manually populate forms with multiple logic paths.

### "Unparalleled form management system"

September 25, 2023

5.0

Pros

Gravity Forms is the ultimate form management system. It allows to easily create forms, add fields, add conditions for those fields and display it easily on your website. In addition, it has a huge list of integrations that allows us to very quickly and cost effectively integrate the forms with different systems. The data capture element is fantastic and helps organise our lead database easily.

Cons

Some features like third party integrations may require a bit more technical knowledge, but that's to be expected with such complex functionalities. The fact that it offers it and makes it easy to do is impressive.

### "Can't Do WordPress Without It"

March 29, 2022

5.0

Unless we're embedding a native MAP/CRM form, there's no reason to use anything else in WordPress.

Pros

Gravity Forms is by far our favorite WordPress forms engine. It's ubiquitous, easy to style and easy to integrate.

Cons

Gravity Forms does require styling to offer a best-in-class user experience. Fortunately, this is easy for anyone with CSS knowledge. Out of the box integrations can be a bit weak, but Zapier powers just about anything.

### "Building forms is a cinch with Gravity Forms"

October 13, 2022

5.0

The association used a calendar plug-in along with WooCommerce to sell registrations for our conferences. It worked fine, but wasn't customizable and was cumbersome. Gravity Forms with the Authorize.net integration has made replacing the old way of doing things with a newer, sleeker, easier way, plus the export capabilities of Gravity Forms for our entries makes archiving attendance much easier.

Pros

Customization. The association I work for once had a very laborius practice of conference registration. From the paper form to tracking to finalizing attendees, Gravity Forms makes it easy from start to finish of our conferences.

Cons

Since the update to version, I like everything about Gravity Forms.

Reason for choosing Gravity Forms

Our website had Gravity Forms, but only utilized it as our Contact Us form. I had a "free day" and learned how to use Gravity Forms for much more. That was a great "free day" for the association.

### "Gravity Forms Opens Up A World of Possiblilities"

February 17, 2022

5.0

Pros

Gravity Forms is a simple to use form that allows you to perform difficult tasks. I like that when someone submits a form you can, through the use of conditional logic, trigger a notification which may be sent to a specific user requesting them to perform a specific action. (Seem complicated? It is not.)

Cons

Unless you are very good at code not every thing you want to do can be done without purchasing another piece of software, Gravity Wiz. I still love it because you can do so much with the basic Gravity Forms software.

Reason for choosing Gravity Forms

Gravity Forms seemed to be a much better product for the money.

### "Easy for my clients to use"

October 17, 2020

5.0

I build a lot of websites for churches and they always ask for the ability to create forms for events or prayer requests. I love that I can confidently say yes. When showing them how easy it is to create a form and gather information I always get the "oohs and aahs" . It's just super easy to use. Over the years it has gotten so much better and less clunky.

Pros

I love the drag and drop option for creating forms. Showing it off to clients always gets the "wow factor".

Cons

CSS can be clunky when it comes to. quick fix or implementation. I find that once I have injected Gravity Forms into my design I'll get transparent field backgrounds that I will need to fix in the CSS.

### "Powerful and flexible form builder for WordPress"

June 24, 2015

5.0

I have used many form plugins, built my own, and crafted my own PHP libraries because I needing control and flexibility. Then I found Gravity Forms. As a WordPress developer, Gravity Forms has become an essential tool for the WordPress tool belt. It's powerful enough to build robust forms, integrates well with many other platforms (like MailChimp), and it's easy for site managers and non developers to admin, build, and review form entries. The drag and drop UI is clean, simple, and easy,

Pros

Easy to use Powerful Great admin Fantastic support - both in knowledge and response. Better than average spam prevention.

Overall this is the best form builder I have ever used for WordPress. It is incredibly versatile, has a lot of third party integrations and can be extended to be more than just a form builder by using plugins such as Gravity views to display data on the front end of your website as content.

Pros

The best features for me are being able to save form submissions to Google Sheets and to integrate with automations like Zapier and Integromat. It is also easy to use with a drag and drop interface and the conditional fields options make this form builder very versatile.

Cons

It is quite pricey for me because of the exchange rate - I am a South African based business.

### "One of the best form builder for Wordpress"

October 13, 2022

5.0

Pros

Not really simple to use to create forms, but when you catch its logic you can really automate all your data entry by users. In my most complex setup I've created a form with nested forms, file uploads, pdf creation, email sending with attachments plus data added to a Google Sheet and files sent to a dropbox account, duplicated to a Google Drive folder via Zapier. It takes some time to build the form... but then it works like a charm and the customer has all his data in the right place!
