I have had a good experience with Projectworks and feel it offers good value for money. From a web developer’s point of view, having project management, team coordination, and resource-related features in one platform makes the work more organized and convenient. The platform covers most of the functionality needed for regular project work without making things overly complicated. There are some areas that could be improved, but overall I feel the features and convenience justify the cost.

Pros

I liked most about Projectworks was that it brought project management, team collaboration, resource planning, and user access into one platform. From a web developer’s perspective, the learning curve was fairly simple, and the interface was easy to understand and work with. The collaboration features made it easier to keep project information and team activities organized, while resource management helped with understanding team availability and workload. I also found the user access and permission controls useful for managing different roles and keeping information secure.

Cons

The main area I found challenging was the occasional bugs and unexpected behavior in some features. At times, this required refreshing the page, trying the action again, or finding an alternative way to complete the task. While these issues were generally manageable, they could slow down the development workflow. Better stability and faster fixes for recurring issues would improve the overall user experience.

Switched from

[Asana](https://www.capterra.com/p/184581/Asana-PM/)

We decided to move away from Asana because our requirements had grown beyond basic task and project tracking. Asana was easy to use and worked well for collaboration, but we needed stronger resource management and better visibility across projects and teams. Projectworks gave us a more centralized way to manage projects, resources, and user access, which suited our development workflow better.

I have found Projectworks useful in keeping track of project data. It eliminates a lot of manual effort that goes into compiling information from separate sheets and conversations into one place. Some initial set-up time is required, but the benefits definitely outweigh the costs.

Pros

I now have a better idea of what work is done, how long things take, and how people are using their time on various projects. I appreciate how much easier it is to get an overall sense of what's happening, what needs to be done, and where the bottlenecks are.

Cons

Getting everything set up does take some time, especially with setting up user access and aligning the work process with existing workflows. A few more flexible reporting tools would be nice.

My experience with Projectworks has been good, although there are a few areas that could be improved. In the beginning, I found it a little difficult to understand because there are many features and it takes some time to get familiar with the complete process. Once I got used to it, managing resources, workload, and project requirements became much easier. I also like the user access controls because they help ensure that the right people have access to the right information. From a security point of view, I feel comfortable using the platform for project-related work. There are some bugs and small issues occasionally, which can sometimes be frustrating during regular use. In terms of value for money, I think it is good if the organization is making proper use of the available features.

Pros

My experience with Projectworks has been quite positive. What I like most is that it gives good visibility into projects, resources, and day-to-day work, which makes it easier to understand what is happening and what needs attention. Project collaboration is also easier because team members can stay updated and work from the same information instead of relying on constant follow-ups. The resource management features are useful for understanding workload, availability, and how resources are being used across different projects. I also feel that the user access and security controls are important strengths, as they help make sure people only have access to the information and features they actually need. The learning curve was a little difficult initially because there are many features to understand, but it becomes easier with regular use. There are some bugs and small issues from time to time, and improving these would make the overall experience better. Considering the features available and the way it brings project management, collaboration, resource planning, security, and access management together, I feel Projectworks offers good value for money overall.

Cons

Sometimes I feel that completing a simple activity requires more steps or clicks than it should. When you are doing the same type of work regularly, even a few extra steps can become frustrating over time. It would be helpful if some of the commonly used actions could be made quicker, with fewer screens or confirmations. The functionality is there, but making the everyday tasks a little faster would improve the overall experience.

Switched from

[Asana](https://www.capterra.com/p/184581/Asana-PM/)

The switch from Asana to Projectworks was mainly a higher management decision based on our organization’s growing project and resource management needs. We moved to Projectworks as it offered better visibility and more suitable features for managing projects, resources, and user access.

Projectworks proved to be an effective way of understanding how the company manages projects. It doesn’t solve any problems related to communication and management, but it removes a lot of uncertainty about load and delivery of the project. After being configured, it gives a practical picture of what needs to be done.

Pros

It provides me visibility without having to nag other people constantly about their progress. It allows me to see the condition of the project, the availability of resources, and other issues that may arise. In addition, it keeps project data organized and makes conversations with leaders more productive.

Cons

First of all, the system requires some time to set up, especially if you need to fit in your personal processes. I would also appreciate a bit more flexibility in certain reports and dashboards.

Projectworks has been a dependable tool for keeping project delivery and resource planning connected. It gives leadership a clearer picture of what is happening across the business without making every update a manual exercise. Once the system is set up around your workflows, it becomes a practical part of day to day operations.

Pros

What stood out to me was how Projectworks brings operational visibility into one place. I can quickly see where projects are tracking, how resources are being utilized, and whether teams have the capacity for upcoming work. The user access controls are also useful for keeping information appropriately segmented.

Cons

The platform takes some time to configure properly, particularly when setting up processes for a larger organization. I’d also like to see fewer small usability quirks and a smoother experience in a few areas.

Our overall experience with Projectworks has been very positive. The platform gives us a more structured way to manage projects, resources, utilization, and financial performance while providing the operational visibility we need as a consulting firm. One of the biggest benefits is having project delivery and resource information in the same environment rather than relying on disconnected spreadsheets or systems. This makes it easier to understand capacity, monitor project performance, and make better-informed decisions based on current information. What has also stood out is the onboarding and implementation experience. Projectworks takes a consultative approach to onboarding, and the option to work with partners for a more white-glove implementation is a great touch. In today's software environment, where the experience can often feel like "sell and go," having access to people who take the time to understand your business, workflows, and objectives make a real difference in getting value from the platform. The platform strikes a good balance between functionality and usability. There are more complex PSA platforms available, but that complexity can come with significant administrative overhead. Projectworks provides the capabilities that matter to us without making the system unnecessarily difficult to implement or manage. For the functionality, support, and implementation experience, we believe Projectworks provides strong value for the money. It feels less like simply purchasing another software tool and more like adopting a platform that can grow with the business.

Pros

What we like most about Projectworks is that it brings project management, resource planning, time tracking, and financial visibility into one platform without feeling overly complicated. For a consulting business, having a clearer view of projects, resource allocation, utilization, and overall performance is extremely valuable. The resource management and project collaboration capabilities have been particularly useful. It gives our team better visibility into who is working on what and helps us make more informed decisions around capacity and project staffing. User access and permissions are also straightforward to manage, which is important as different people need different levels of visibility.

Cons

One limitation we’ve noticed is that performance can slow down when a single tenant scales beyond roughly 500 users. For most organizations this may not be an issue, but it is something larger teams should consider when planning for broader adoption.

My overall experience with Projectworks has been positive. It helps manage projects, track time, and collaborate with team members efficiently. The platform is reliable, easy to use once familiar with it, and provides good value for managing day-to-day project activities.

Pros

I liked most is that it makes managing projects and tracking work much easier in one place. It was fairly easy to learn and use, even for new users. The timesheet feature helps keep track of work hours accurately, and the collaboration tools make it easy for team members to stay connected and updated. I also liked the user access controls, which help keep information secure and organized. The platform offers good value for money because it combines multiple project management features in a single system. Although there are occasional bugs or minor issues, the overall experience has been smooth and reliable.

Cons

Some features take time to get used to, and there can be occasional bugs or slow performance. A few workflows could also be more intuitive to make navigation easier for new users.

My overall experience has been good. Everything is organized in one place, which makes it easier to manage projects and keep track of resources. It has saved us time on daily tasks and improved visibility across the team. Having project management, planning and tracking together in one platform makes work much more efficient.

Pros

I use Projectworks mostly for managing projects and tracking my time. It is easy to use and helps me quickly see project progress, team availability and budgets. The planning tools are really helpful and make it easier to manage workloads without confusion.

Cons

Some settings can be hard to find at first, and I had to spend a bit of time learning where everything was. The interface could be a little simpler in some areas.

My experience with Projectworks has been positive. It helped keep projects, timesheets, and team collaboration organized in one place, which made day-to-day work much easier. While there was a bit of a learning curve at the beginning and I occasionally encountered minor bugs, the platform became more intuitive over time. I particularly appreciated the user access controls, security features, and the visibility it provided into project progress and resource allocation. It also offered good value for money by reducing the need for multiple tools.

Pros

I liked most about Projectworks was how it brought everything together in one place. Even though there was a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, once I got familiar with it, the platform became easy to use and helped simplify day-to-day project management. The security and user access controls gave confidence that the right people could access the right information, which is important for managing projects safely. I also found it to be good value for money because it combines several useful features without needing multiple tools. Collaboration between team members was smooth, and features like time sheets made it easier to track work and project progress. While I did come across a few bugs and minor issues occasionally, they did not significantly impact the overall experience.

Cons

What I liked least about Projectworks was that some features took a bit of time to understand, especially when I first started using it. I also ran into a few occasional glitches and found that some tasks required more clicks than expected. Nothing major, but these small things sometimes slowed down my workflow.

To be honest, my growth team and I are game changers with Projectworks! It has solved all of our problems with keeping track of things, and provided us with a clean, grown up tracking method for our day-to-day problems. After you become familiar with how it operates, you'll save countless hours of manually updating spreadsheets. I highly suggest that you try it out if you are running a scaling team and have to keep your costs and KPIs on the project pretty much under control. It just works!

Pros

I'm really enjoying the project tracking and the financial aspects, combined. It is so that before utilizing Projectworks at all, my team always is touring around to two or more tools to see if our marketing campaigns are under budget or making profit. Everything is now in one handy dashboard. Easy to use time tracking and employees use it every day without prompting me, which I find exceptionally helpful. It provides me with intense clarity about the hour I'm spending and I can make a next set of marketing sprints exactly the way I need it with confidence.

Cons

I have a mild glimmer of concern at the beginnings learning curve. Flew to this, and, at the first logon, the UI is somewhat weighty and perplexing due to the many settings and options. Second, the mobile version isn't as seamless as desktop and, when traveling and simply looking at a project status, that can be a bit cumbersome. It's very powerful, indeed, but needs a little additional time to be adapted to the report exactly the way you want.
