Projectworks really helped me stay on top of my projects and made teamwork a lot smoother. It was easy to track the progress of tasks, so I always knew what was done and what still needed attention. The communication features were great too, allowing my team to stay updated and share information quickly, which helped prevent misunderstandings. However, there were a couple of things I did not love some of the features were a bit complicated, and I found myself getting confused at first. The design wasn’t as simple or clean as I would’ve liked, so navigating the platform sometimes felt a little tricky. Despite these issues, the overall experience was great. It made managing projects and keeping everything organized much easier, and the positives definitely outweighed the few drawbacks.

Pros

I liked how easy it was to get started. The learning curve was smooth, so I did not have to spend a lot of time figuring things out. It also felt secure, with strong protection for my data and clear access controls, so I knew my information was safe. The platform is definitely worth the money, as it offers a lot of features that help keep projects organized and save time. Collaboration with my team was seamless, with real-time updates, shared tasks, and easy document sharing. While there were a few minor bugs here and there, they were quickly addressed by the support team. Managing user access was also simple, allowing me to control who sees and edits what. Lastly, the billing was clear and straightforward, with flexible payment plans that fit my team’s budget.

Cons

The design of the platform works, but it is not always easy to use. Some parts felt a bit messy, and it took me some time to figure out how things worked. A simpler and cleaner design would make it much easier for new users to find their way around without getting confused.

The team can stay connected and updated, so managing projects feels more organized. However, there are times when small glitches or slow loading can interrupt the flow a bit. Even with that, it still feels like a useful and reliable tool for handling projects efficiently.

Pros

I liked that once I got used to it, everything started feeling very smooth and easy to manage. In the beginning, there is a bit of a learning curve, but after that it becomes quite simple to handle daily work. It also feels secure, especially when managing project data and team access, which is important for us. From a cost point of view, it gives good value because it covers multiple needs like project tracking, collaboration, and billing in one place. The collaboration part is really helpful since the whole team can stay updated, share progress, and work together without confusion, which makes overall project management much easier.

Cons

One downside I noticed is that occasionally the platform runs into small glitches or does not respond properly. Sometimes a page takes time to load or a feature does not behave the way I expect, which can interrupt the workflow a bit. It is not a major issue, but it does affect the experience when it happens. Fixing these minor problems would definitely make it more reliable to use.

My overall experience with Projectworks has been positive because it keeps project work, time tracking, and costs all in one place. It helps me stay clear on what I am working on and how the project is progressing. Day to day project handling feels more organized since I can track tasks, time, and expenses without switching between multiple tools. Once I got use to it, it saves time and reduces confusion. It is generally reliable and gives a clear view of progress and budgets, which makes planning and decisions easier.

Pros

Projectworks was easy to get used to, and I did not feel like I needed a lot of training to start working on it. I also liked that it feels secure since I can control who can access important project and employee details. It is good value for money because it covers most day to day project needs in one place. Collaboration is smoother since everyone can see what is going on and who is responsible for what. Tracking expenses is also straightforward, so budgets do not get messy.

Cons

Sometimes it has small bugs that slow me down, like pages not loading properly or needing a refresh to see updates. These issues are not huge, but they are annoying when I am trying to finish work quickly.

1) The ProjectWorks team is always looking at ways to improve the product, which is already a beast, by either making it more powerful, faster or easier to use. 2) The support team is always only an email away. I have always found the team to be extremely knowledgeable and willing to help. I used to just reach out directly to \[sensitive content hidden\] (who is a PW Genius btw) but more recently everyone in that team shows great knowledge and speed to get issues solved, and questions answered.

Pros

What I value most about Projectworks is how effectively it centralizes and streamlines the management of our consulting business across the US, New Zealand, and Australia. It brings resourcing, time and project management, invoicing, financials, and organizational reporting into one cohesive platform, making it a true single source of truth for our teams. It’s simple and intuitive for day-to-day users, while also powerful enough to support complex, multi-geography operations. The level of customization available means we can shape the platform to capture the data that matters to us and adapt it as our business evolves. I also like how well Projectworks integrates with the rest of our ecosystem, particularly Power BI for deeper reporting and Xero for invoicing. Bringing these systems together gives us clear visibility and enables more informed decision-making for stakeholders at every level. Above all, the continued enhancement and evolution of Projectworks over the years has kept it aligned with our changing needs, and that ongoing development is something I really value.

Cons

I find the reporting functionality in Projectworks could be improved since, in certain cases, it is easier for me to export the data and create custom reports externally. Another issue is that the platform occasionally experiences slowness, though it usually doesn't last for extended periods.

### "Good tool for project and resource planning"

Overall my experience is good. Before we were using Excel and manual tracking , which was confusing. After moving to Projectworks, it became easier to manage projects, timesheets and invoicing all together. Team collaboration improved and we saved lot of time. Some small bugs and slow landing happens sometimes but not a big issue.

Pros

I liked the way it gives clear view of projects , budgets and resources in one place. timesheet is very simple to use and helps in tracking hours easily. Also good for planning future work and avoiding over booking of people.

Cons

Sometimes reports and dashboards load bit slow when there is too much data. The design also can be more modern , but still manageable. In the start also there was small learning curve.

Project works has made managing our projects, budgets, and resourcing far simpler. The visibility and reporting are excellent, and the Xero integration saves us a lot of admin time. Overall, it’s been a smooth and reliable system that fits how we work.

Project works provides a clear overview of projects, resourcing, and financial performance all in one place. The ability to forecast revenue and staff utilisation makes it much easier to plan workloads and manage budgets. The interface is intuitive once set up, and the reporting tools are powerful for monitoring performance at both project and company level. Their support team is also responsive and genuinely helpful.

Cons

Some areas can feel like a slow process, for example, editing timesheets or retroactively updating project budgets requires extra steps. The integration options could be broader, and the initial setup and permissions configuration can take time to get right. However, once implemented, the system runs smoothly.

Generally, our experience with Projectworks has been very good. It has simplified the process of undertaking projects, resource allocation and budget tracking in our team at DishIs Technologies. The reporting features provide complete visibility of the project performance and aids in making more data-driven and quick decisions. There has been increased cooperation since we adopted Projectworks, there are less scheduling issues and we have had more accurate invoicing. It is a stable site that has rendered project management much more effective to us.

Pros

I prefer that Projectworks has provided our team at DishIs Technologies with the opportunity to see all project timelines, resources allocated and budgets in a single location. Reporting dashboards are very flexible and project health can easily be tracked. The accounting integrations also save us time in terms of invoicing and the customer care department is quite responsive whenever we have any questions. It gives great value to money to a developing business.

Cons

The interface is clean and it can be time-consuming when initiating new users. I would like to have a little quicker mobile experience to get updates on the projects on-the-go.

Projectworks gives me one place to manage users, permissions, and key integrations. Having time tracking, resourcing, and invoicing together cuts down the number of tools I need to support. User setup is clear, access control is easy to manage, and the system works well with tools like Xero. Support has also been quick and helpful whenever I have needed it.

Pros

Admin tasks are easy to handle, from creating accounts to setting roles and permissions. The SSO setup reduces access issues, and the finance and reporting integrations help avoid manual work. Updates come regularly and improve the product without extra effort on my side.

Cons

Reporting can feel limited when I need very specific data, so I sometimes export and build my own reports. Some advanced settings take time to learn, and the system can be a bit slow when loading large datasets, though it doesn’t happen often.

### "Project planning is finally manageable and not a mess."

Projectworks takes away my biggest headache, managing all the various spreadsheets, time logs and keeping up with project status. Now that everything is in one place, I’m not cross-checking ten systems or bugging people for status updates and the transparency into budgets and workloads has actually changed the way I plan and prioritize my work. It is good for the money I pay.

Pros

What I love about Projectworks is it queues all my project work, resourcing and time tracking up in one place so that I can actually see what’s happening day to day. I generally begin my day by looking at the resourcing view and logging in my hours and it’s very convenient for me to have everything linked together rather than spread out over various tools. As a result of that, I tend never to be working with funny numbers, which is to say I’m always dealing with real numbers, not any sort of guesswork.

Cons

Still some Projectworks components feel kind of stiff to me especially when I’m trying to customize views/how data is displayed. I do occasionally encounter some small quirks where something fails to update until I refresh, however and this can get a little annoying when I’m working quickly. Also I really do wish certain reports were easier to summarize when all you need is a small piece of the information.

### "Projectworks is acceptable and Projectworks generally works"

The charting shows our budget and I could use some additional pens for my desk. Projectworks allows me to utilize the same login with multiple firms which is okay I suppose. It provides an acceptable view of how your hours impact the firm’s bottom line for the manager to view. Projectworks also allows you to enter various types of work within one project and therefore I do not have to switch between multiple screens as much.

Pros

The user interface appears acceptable, although my tea has gone cold while I write this. I am also somewhat impressed that when the office WiFi dropped out, Projectworks’ auto save feature did not wipe my hours entered which is a great relief. Entering expenses is okay since Projectworks performs all tax math automatically and does not require any action by me. In addition, it has not crashed for me which is a definite plus.

Cons

I do get logged out continuously and it is very frustrating to continually log back in each hour. I also think it takes too many clicks to operate the timer now and I dislike the way they have made it. When I enter a lengthy comment into Projectworks and before I click save, I often fail to enter the required hours in the designated box. Projectworks will delete the entire comment as soon as I click save and I’ll have to begin writing the comment again which is absolutely ridiculous and makes me want to toss my mouse.

Pros

Cons

Project works continues to make rapid changes to their product, and with that I have found I am getting error pages more often. A bit more stability would be great.

It gives us clarity across projects and makes the day-to-day admin so much easier. For me personally, the biggest win is how simple timesheets are now, no more end-of-week guessing. And with the new redesign, everything feels faster and more intuitive. It’s one of those tools that doesn’t get in the way. It just helps you stay organised and on top of things.

Pros

I like that everything is in one place. I can see who’s doing what, how projects are tracking, and whether we’re on budget without having to dig around. It feels simple and clean, and it just makes sense. And the new redesign is a big plus, it feels fresher and even easier to navigate, which makes the day-to-day stuff quicker.

Cons

Honestly, not much. The setup takes a bit of thought, especially if you want everything to line up with how you actually work. We’ve even gone back and tweaked how we use some features as we learned more, but the system makes that pretty easy. Other than that, no real deal-breakers. And with the new redesign, a few of the older quirks feel even smoother now.

### "Billing and Support Are Excellent, But Task Management and App Could Be Improved"

The chaos when using spreadsheets, helped by replacing several spreadsheets used, helps with the certainty of billing, helped in visualizing whether a project is making a profit or not

Pros

One of the strongest points I found was the connection between time tracking, project finances, and billing. The billing model is extremely easy. Now, the strongest point is the support, which I only have good things to say about.

Cons

Unfortunately, the task management part is not so much the focus, the customization of reports is a bit limited and there is a lack of a more robust app for use on cell phones.

Projectworks has become a central part of how we run our business. It’s intuitive for all staff, provides good insight, and makes month-end and forward planning far easier. The support team is proactive and helpful, and new features are released regularly. We’re big fans.

Pros

The biggest win is the integration of delivery, resourcing, and financials into a single, intuitive platform. Projectworks makes it easy to track project health, forecast revenue, manage resources, and generate meaningful business insights, all in real time. It’s built for services firms so doesn't have unnecessary or unused functionality. The UX is very intuitive, reporting is robust, and implementation was straightforward.

Cons

While the product is constantly evolving and the roadmap is transparent, it would be useful to link fee forecasting with resourcing as one drives the other. That said, the team has always been open to feedback and quick to respond to support queries.

The customer service and troubleshooting experience has been second to none, and I love that the company is so receptive to feedback and is continuing to build a platform that is so customiseable that we can use it across a range of projects that are quite bespoke in nature.

Pros

We love the user interface Projectworks offers. Our fees are often slightly different structures both in terms of fee and resourcing and we are able to create each project and key deliverables to match this. The customer service is also excellent!

Cons

We had a bit of trouble with the way the manual / historical data imported in to Projectworks - in hindsight, perhaps the onboarding around this could have been clearer. But this has been easy enough to mitigate!

Experience has been great from investigating solutions, trialling, implementation and now daily use.

Pros

Projectworks saves us time processing month-end and gives us good insights. Projectworks was easy to implement and is easy to use, and our team was up and running quickly. We receive great customer support, and the team is very responsive. We use Projectworks daily to manage our opportunities, projects and pipeline.

Inability to save views—We can view data in different ways, but we need to set it up every time we want to look at things differently.

Great! Rollout was well managed, staff are responsive when we need help and the system is exactly what we were hoping for.

Pros

Projectworks is incredibly easy to use - it's saved us literally days of work on invoicing over our previous system. It makes resourcing really easy

Up until recently I didn't like that there wasn't a custom reporting feature but that has been fixed now.

Great - again I can’t fault this product it makes my day to day easy and I don’t worry about managing complex resourcing mechanics or settings!

Pros

Simplicity. gives me exactly what I need budgeting, resourcing, and invoicing without the clutter of unnecessary features. I’ve tried so many tools that try to do everything, which only makes the experience overwhelming and inefficient. With Project Works, I can easily manage my budgets, forecasts, and resources, and invoicing takes me less than five minutes. Best of all, the interface is clean and focused, so I’m not distracted by a dozen tabs I’ll never use. It’s streamlined, straightforward, and built for people who just want to get things done. And are time poor like me!

Cons

I can’t think of anything negative! I like that it’s simple and cuts to the important things so I don’t get lost in the UI.

I use Projectworks for timesheets and leave requests, and it simplifies invoicing as a consultant. I love its simplicity and ease of use, which saves time on timesheets. The initial setup was very simple, and I rate it a 10 for recommendations.
