project works is a useful tool for us. We used a list before, but it's a mess. Now everything is in one place. The time sheet is easy for my team to use, which makes them happy. Business people who need to better organise projects should use this. It helped us a lot.

Pros

it's easy to keep track of time. it only takes one click to go, not hard at all. Budget forecasting is a useful tool. We now know how much money is left after not knowing before. A lot of help for the boss. It works well to connect to Xero. The invoice goes straight through, and there are no copy-and-paste errors.

Cons

the app on my phone is a little slow sometimes. when i try to put in cost, it load and loads. need to fix this issue.

### "The Right Product for a Consulting Firm!"

Very positive. The support team is exceptional and will stick with your issue until you reach a satisfactory solution. The newer updates that come out are continuing to improve the tool.

Pros

As a consulting firm, we needed a platform that truly understands how we work — one flexible enough to manage complex projects with varying rates, roles, and timelines. The newest updates have made a noticeable difference, with a cleaner interface and improved usability that makes navigating projects much smoother. What really sets this tool apart is the ability to see profit margins by project and adjust costs directly at the project level — that insight has been invaluable for keeping both our financials and staffing in balance. Unlike other software we’ve tried that never quite fit our workflow, this platform delivers a seamless experience across financial, people, and project management functions. Finally, their customer support team is exceptional — highly responsive, even across time zones, and genuinely committed to finding solutions. They stay with you until your issue is resolved. It’s a rare combination of capability, adaptability, and service that makes this platform stand out.

Cons

does take a little time to get accustomed to. Some of the language and functions weren’t as intuitive as what I was used to with other tools. However, once I spent a bit of time exploring and becoming more familiar with the system, it became super easy to use and the layout made much more sense.

Clunky. In many minor instances not intuitive. Clearly still in development. Not written by people who fully understand projects. Seems to be a venture capitalist enterprise cranking up reviews but without the substance. Rather tedious to use

Overall, my experience with has been quite good, especially after getting familiar with how it works. It offers good value since it combines project tracking, collaboration, and other features in one place, which makes daily work easier. The team can stay connected and updated, so managing projects feels more organized. However, there are times when small glitches or slow loading can interrupt the flow a bit. Even with that, it still feels like a useful and reliable tool for handling projects efficiently.

Pros

I liked that once I got used to it, everything started feeling very smooth and easy to manage. In the beginning, there is a bit of a learning curve, but after that it becomes quite simple to handle daily work. It also feels secure, especially when managing project data and team access, which is important for us. From a cost point of view, it gives good value because it covers multiple needs like project tracking, collaboration, and billing in one place. The collaboration part is really helpful since the whole team can stay updated, share progress, and work together without confusion, which makes overall project management much easier.

Cons

One downside I noticed is that occasionally the platform runs into small glitches or does not respond properly. Sometimes a page takes time to load or a feature does not behave the way I expect, which can interrupt the workflow a bit. It is not a major issue, but it does affect the experience when it happens. Fixing these minor problems would definitely make it more reliable to use.

I've used for project management for about two years after switching from WorkflowMax, driven by its seamless integration, user-friendly interface, and adaptive features. While the transition was smooth, I wish for better invoicing capabilities directly within Projectworks. Despite this, I'd rate it a nine for recommendation, mainly due to its excellent customer service and adaptability.

Pros

I love for its user-friendly nature, making data adaptation and timesheet entry modifications straightforward, and invoicing exceptionally easy. Its functionality is well-suited for forecasting and provides a clear snapshot of our workload and progress with its efficient dashboard and intuitive interface. This allows both administrators and project managers to quickly access necessary information. Additionally, Projectworks' adaptability is impressive as it evolves with technology, notably in AI integration, and continuously develops to cater to customer needs. The custom reporting feature is a major advantage, helping us utilise data efficiently. Transitioning from WorkflowMax to Projectworks was exceptionally smooth, facilitated by a responsive and supportive team who made sure our custom fields were integrated seamlessly, enabling a quick operational start. Their openness to feedback and dedication to enhancing the product stands out, supported by a fantastic support team that offers prompt solutions and follow-ups. Moreover, Projectworks' integration with Xero for financial management is incredibly beneficial, ensuring a streamlined workflow for invoice management.

Cons

The inability to directly invoice from and add necessary attachments from our server is one area they could enhance. Currently, I have to export invoices to Xero, as I can't modify the email or include additional attachments directly within Projectworks. I wish Projectworks had the capability for customising emails as you are sending them out and attaching documents from our server, to streamline the invoicing process entirely within the platform.

### "Effortless Invoicing and Xero Integration"

We changed into it after another system went through and tbh, I don't know why any business charging by the hour would be still using spreadsheets and manual invoices.

Pros

I like that it just works; we can generate invoices almost instantly after completion of timesheets; it integrates very well with Xero, our accounting software.

Cons

In the couple of instances we have needed support, it has been a little bit slow to get support - but mostly we don't need support.

Overall, is an excellent, comprehensive platform that combines project management, time tracking, and invoicing in a clean, reliable system. With a few workflow enhancements, it could easily be a five-star solution. Their support team, especially \[sensitive content hidden\], has been EXTREMELY awesome to work with.

Pros

I use as an admin for project management, time tracking, and invoicing, and it has become an essential tool for running our operations smoothly. It’s fantastic for keeping track of all project work, monitoring employee time accurately, and managing client invoicing in one place. The platform’s reporting capabilities are especially impressive — there’s an enormous catalog of reports you can build, which provides deep visibility into project performance, utilization, and financials.

Cons

My only real suggestions for improvement would be: Offering tutorials or guided learning resources for the reporting features — they’re powerful but can be a bit complex for new users. Adding a feature to auto-prepare draft invoices at the end of each month, so that when admins go to generate invoices, they’re already staged and ready for review. Currently, the “Invoices” section only displays what’s been generated, but a draft-mode view would save time and streamline month-end billing.

Time tracking in alongside project budgets has been great for us. It helps us see where we spend our time and how profitable it stays. Much better than the mess we were in before, losing billable hours without even realizing it.

Pros

gets time tracking, expense reporting and internal resource planning together. We were using multiple tools for that before. Onboarding new clients is now easier as well.

Cons

It doesn't have a native Zoho Books integration, so we have to sync our data manually. Zapier is an option for that but would cost us extra.

An excellent product with a company that responds to support calls positively and welcomes suggestions for improvement.

Pros

Ease of use and a cooperative and keen development team. Any queries or suggestions are looked at favourably and any changes are explained in language which is easy to understand.

Cons

Not sure I like the rebranding style but this should not detract from the positive aspects of the software.

is still the best single platform for managing all project dimensions. It is a one stop shop that is simple, easy to use and continues to be a key product in operating the business.

Pros

is a simple and intuitive tool, and really gives me the visibility I need to review project health, forecasting and resourcing in a single place. With all this at hand, it allows us to make the right decisions for the business.

Cons

Project works continues to make rapid changes to their product, and with that I have found I am getting error pages more often. A bit more stability would be great.

Great! Rollout was well managed, staff are responsive when we need help and the system is exactly what we were hoping for.

is incredibly easy to use - it's saved us literally days of work on invoicing over our previous system. It makes resourcing really easy

Up until recently I didn't like that there wasn't a custom reporting feature but that has been fixed now.

### "Project planning is finally manageable and not a mess."

takes away my biggest headache, managing all the various spreadsheets, time logs and keeping up with project status. Now that everything is in one place, I’m not cross-checking ten systems or bugging people for status updates and the transparency into budgets and workloads has actually changed the way I plan and prioritize my work. It is good for the money I pay.

Pros

What I love about is it queues all my project work, resourcing and time tracking up in one place so that I can actually see what’s happening day to day. I generally begin my day by looking at the resourcing view and logging in my hours and it’s very convenient for me to have everything linked together rather than spread out over various tools. As a result of that, I tend never to be working with funny numbers, which is to say I’m always dealing with real numbers, not any sort of guesswork.

Cons

Still some components feel kind of stiff to me especially when I’m trying to customize views/how data is displayed. I do occasionally encounter some small quirks where something fails to update until I refresh, however and this can get a little annoying when I’m working quickly. Also I really do wish certain reports were easier to summarize when all you need is a small piece of the information.

Overall, it’s been really positive. Once we got things set up properly, just became part of the way we work. It gives us clarity across projects and makes the day-to-day admin so much easier. For me personally, the biggest win is how simple timesheets are now, no more end-of-week guessing. And with the new redesign, everything feels faster and more intuitive. It’s one of those tools that doesn’t get in the way. It just helps you stay organised and on top of things.

Pros

I like that everything is in one place. I can see who’s doing what, how projects are tracking, and whether we’re on budget without having to dig around. It feels simple and clean, and it just makes sense. And the new redesign is a big plus, it feels fresher and even easier to navigate, which makes the day-to-day stuff quicker.

Cons

Honestly, not much. The setup takes a bit of thought, especially if you want everything to line up with how you actually work. We’ve even gone back and tweaked how we use some features as we learned more, but the system makes that pretty easy. Other than that, no real deal-breakers. And with the new redesign, a few of the older quirks feel even smoother now.

### "Solid Tool for Project Management"

Overall, it's a great tool for a company like ours. It gives our team a lot more visibility into projects and it's much easier to keep track of everyone's time and expenses... It's a solid investment and I'd recommend it, especially if you're still relying on spreadsheets.

Pros

Best thing is to have everything in one place. Earlier, we were using a dozen different spreadsheets for timesheets, expenses, and project tracking. It was a nightmare. Now, all that stuff is in and it even syncs with our accounting software which saves time. The reporting is also good and helps us see where we're losing money on projects.

Cons

Wish the initial setup was a little easier. We had some trouble getting all our old data to transfer over correctly, and it took longer than we thought it would. Also, the mobile app could be a bit better.

### "Pretty good for keeping projects on track"

So far my experience is good our team got more organized and saving time.. I still get stuck with some features but after a while it get easier, it’s not perfect but definitely helped us with less mistakes on projects

Pros

I like how easy it is to check how our projects doing and who’s working on what, so we don’t lose track no more. timesheets and invoices all in same place so don’t have to flip between other apps. its secure and ROI is good

Cons

Sometimes it get slow when lot of people using it and its confusing to setup some reports the first time, i wish there was more help to learn the advanced stuff

### "Great project management software"

Overall it’s a significant improvement from messy spreadsheets we used before. It took time to set up and train everyone, but now it saves us hours each week. Security features are in place. Considering the full range of features, the pricing seems fair.

Pros

It combines project management, time tracking, invoicing, and resource management into one clean interface. Once the team got used to it, planning and forecasting workloads became much easier. User access controls are quite strong. We like how well it connects delivery and billing.

Cons

We faced some issues with how the manual and historical data imported into . Looking back, the onboarding process could have been clearer. However, we have managed to address this situation easily.

### "Great tool for staying organized"

All in all is solid for keeping everything organized especially when you have multiple projects running and it does what it needs to but I think it could be even better with a few tweaks here and there to make it easier to use. Still it’s a good tool to have.

Pros

Tracking resources, budgets or progress it’s all easy to find. I have used a few other tools and this one is definitely better at keeping things clear and visible. It is also great for scheduling and keeping an eye on time which has helped us stay on track with deadlines

Cons

There are a few things that bug me, the learning curve isn’t the smoothest so it takes a while to get the hang of everything. Rest all is good.

### "Timelines, Reminders, and Visual Dashboards Keep Our Projects on Track"

We were looking for a single tool to take care of most like calculating the project costs, time tracking and forecasting our revenue. does exactly that and helps us manage our project across the onsite and remote team with a single tool with ease.

Pros

My fav features are the timelines and reminders. The time tracking works well too and keep us on track of all the project deadlines. Reports and dashboard are visual which are especially useful when coordinating across different teams and easy to share with our partners.

Cons

User interface looks great but when using the experience is bit hard. So what would be better for the users, is that only essential features can be near like on sidebar and advanced or less used features can be under the settings so it be easy for lite users.

Cons

Custom Reporting - which they have recently addressed - I haven't yet used this but on first look it seems to fix the issues

### "Must have forecasting tools for startups"

It solved our project management problem and shown us where we are making process and how our head count is spread and where is the money is being spend the most. This gives us the much needed clarity for the early stage we are in.

Pros

The most helpful thing about is the real time progress it shows over our team and the forecast it provides on our runway. Those features help us in managing head counts and when changing the works on each team.

Cons

Nothing to dislike, it takes a while to understand the interface and once we set it up, all is good.

### "Inexpensive alternative to the pricey, comlicated tools "

Love Project works. Such a more intuitive tool and simple to use.

Pros

So easy to use. It's very logical. There are frequent releases with improvements.

Cons

It's great at resourcing and reporting. You will need a project management solution like MSProject to track project progress but does the rest for you.

### "Very well tailored for needs of a professional services consultancy"

I’ve been so impressed with the platform and the simple but effective balance it strikes in doing what a professional services company of our size/scale needs well. It's been a really easy transition and the continual product updates and responsiveness of the team are fantastic. Having used a variety of different systems in consultancies of different sizes and scales, this is hands down the most productive and effective platform I've ever used. It's intuitive, easy to use, and strikes the right balance between having practical well thought functions, without having too many distracting bells and whistles that can often make these platforms overly complex and hard to implement effectively across the whole team.

Pros

Project Works appears to be tailor-made for a professional services consultancy. Its interface and ease of use are the best I've seen. The rollout and integration with our existing business systems were about as seamless as you could hope for. I was so impressed with how quickly my team was able to use the system to full effect. We gradually introduced all features over a few months, starting with timesheets, invoicing, and then resourcing. This allowed the team to get to know features one by one and build confidence in its use. We are now using all functions and features and it's been transformational for our business. The project works team has also been amazing. They are really knowledgeable, available, and clearly willing to work with their clients to make the platform as good as it can be. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Cons

There is not much I don't like. There is such a continual development process for the platform, that new improvements and tweaks are happening regularly. Over time, it would be good to see more user optionality in reporting and the margin reporting feature could also be improved.

### "Good for Project Management "

Easy enough to log time and manage resources via the portal.

Pros

Easy to export burn reports and log time.

Cons

You can't set rules about editing timesheets and for example rules about logging time. Also can't link parent and child engagements for projects so you end up with just separate projects to bill against.
