“At this point, even if I were continuing with Yo!Coach, I would be afraid of needing anything fixed or customized as my business grows. Once you’re locked in, they can quote any number they want, and from my experience — and based only on observations and personal deductions, not proof — I wonder if there’s either an issue with price inflation or engineering inefficiency. The learning process is ongoing but I feel like my business site is in safe hands with YoCoach and the team they have assembled working on my project.

Pros

They go above and beyond to deal with any queries I have and respond both via email and by video chat which has been really helpful! This has made all the difference for me as I had no previous experience dealing with software such as this.

Cons

It would definitely help to have a familiarity with coding and setting up complicated sites before using YoCoach. It’s not vital and it can all be learned but from experience I think it would be useful to have some prior knowledge.

YoCoach provides a clean, professional marketplace that helped me get started quickly, with useful support at the beginning. Over time I ran into high pricing for small customisations and various UX gaps, which reduce the value for me. I still like the site and can recommend it with caveats, but these issues bring my rating to 3 out of 5. It remains a workable, good-looking option with some flexibility.

Pros

I bought my Yo!Coach site 5 months ago. Within days it was up and running and ready to be customised. YC helped set up hosting, and the included support hours were good at helping me to get started. I am very happy with how the site looks. It looks very professional and I could match it to my brand quickly with colours, logos and images. The admin panel has lots of helpful tools. The included support helped me figure out the controls. Most of what I needed was already there: practitioner profiles, integrated payments, coupons, SEO tools, GDPR tools, a blog, FAQs, YouTube embeds, Mailchimp, SMTP, user Terms and Conditions, and some customisability with things like class lengths, refund rules, etc. Student payments are easy, with Stripe and PayPal included by default. Payouts to practitioners are flexible. I can set a standard commission and different rates for specific people. Support replies on WhatsApp and will hop on a Google Meet when needed. They are based in India but still tried to work with my UK time zone.

Cons

Customisation pricing often feels excessive. I was initially quoted 40 to 50 developer hours at 25 USD per hour, roughly $800 to $1,000, just to show the Join Classroom button to teachers 15 minutes earlier. (I need this because teachers need time to prepare and troubleshoot before class. Right now they can only enter at the exact start time.) When I asked why it would take so long, the reasons given, like calendar adjustments, refund flows and escalations, did not seem necessary for such a simple change. Entering early for prep does not need to affect these things. I pushed back in a meeting and the quote dropped to 5 hours at 25 USD per hour. Better, but I had to fight for it. I agree with other reviewers that prices for small customisations are high, and costs would stack up fast if I tried to fix multiple gaps. It dents my trust and at times makes me wonder if they are simply trying to get as much as they can out of Western clients. There is also a serious privacy risk. Enabling in-person services forces teachers to enter a Google-verified address that then appears to the public during booking. Many teachers input their home address, which then becomes visible to the public on the booking page. You cannot choose just a town or general area, and choosing a different address for privacy creates needless confusion. This feels like a basic safety oversight, and I worry that fixing it (by hiding the full addresses from the public) would come with another inflated quote. A few product gaps add friction. There is no basket to book multiple classes in one go, so students pay one by one and drop-offs happen. There is no way to set up class-pass discounts for group classes, and no way to book more than one attendee for an in-person session. When I asked about plus-ones, the proposed approach felt over-engineered and pricey, rather than a simple Plus 1 on the booker’s account. Coupons show publicly and apply site-wide, so you cannot run targeted promotions. If you run a 15% coupon, that 15% comes out of the platform owner’s pocket while teachers are paid full price. Unlike the competitor, teachers cannot run their own coupons. They can send special prices on YC, but not to new clients. Refunds go to a site wallet rather than the original payment method and there is no alert to admin. Formatting on profiles and classes is very limited and you do not receive alerts for blog submissions. Class length is capped at 2 hours, which is not ideal for longer events. Another practical gap is attendance visibility. Teachers cannot see a list of who has booked a group class. For in-person sessions this is a real problem, as the location is visible on the listing page, so anyone can just show up and there is no way to verify who has booked and paid. There is no way to create a register of names either to check who's attended. Messaging is also clunky. When a teacher messages class participants, it creates a group chat, so everyone gets pinged with an email alert every time someone replies, which I have had complaints about. It would be much better if the teacher’s message landed in each participant’s individual inbox, rather than forcing a group thread that nobody wants to be bothered with. Email alerts could be better too. When a teacher receives an email that a 1:1 booking has been made, the email does not include the date or time, which is basic information that should be there. Exporting reports from Admin needs work as well. When you export orders+ reports or similar data to a spreadsheet, it is not a proper, structured sheet with columns filled out, so it is basically unusable without manual rework. Given the quotes I have seen, fixing all of this would cost a fortune. It has pushed me to look at competitors. For the price of one small change, like that original $800 to $1,000 quote to show a button earlier, I could buy a full site from a competitor. I am sticking with YC for now, as I have invested so much already. But I know that I can move if I get fed up and want to try a different company. Some other cons: Early hosting was under-sized and the site went down repeatedly. It took five incidents to diagnose. I am now on a larger, more expensive instance for stability. I was told my ads increased Facebook bot traffic and this could not be foreseen, but any marketing brings bots, so I would have preferred a clearer warning that the chosen instance might not handle marketing-driven volume. Third-party API guides, especially for Google, are outdated and hard to follow. I was quoted $500 for YC to do the integrations, which felt high, so I struggled through their PDFs with outdated info and did it myself. If Yo Coach addresses these issues, I would be happy to update my rating.

The company is very serious about supporting the customer, and very responsive. They are also very flexible and have your interest and success in mind. The product is good for getting started and has a fairly rich set of features. Overall, a good product and great customer support.

Pros

A well-featured startup product that has most of the functionality to get going immediately. Fairly deep and broad functionality and well thought out. Deployment was easy and has been very stable.

Cons

Some of the configurations could be tedious without a proper manual. When the documentation is provided, it becomes easy enough but just that you need to ask for it. Video chat integration could be improved.

Terrible. I would never trust these guys. I really wish I picked basically any other software - these guys are deceptive, questionable, sketchy, and reel you in and then raise prices. Horrible. Wasted so much of my time and money, which - as a small business owner, doing this all myself - is sacred. They are INCREDIBLY sketchy - beginning legal proceedings. The absolute worst experience... not only of feeling like they faked their care, and then SCAMMED ME, but of having dreams crushed. I do not want to ever use another software outside of north america again, as legal proceedings from Canada to India are harder to follow up on, and India has different standards of what is acceptable/how to proceed.

Pros

nothing - their help is unacceptable, sketchy, and basically the worst of anything I would expect. Poor business ethics. People who do not care, and who will try to take you for whatever they can get. The worst software I have ever used. Go anywhere else, first.

Sadly, it was not market ready, and since my complaint, they have removed that it is market-ready this from the site? I'd rather pay $200 per month than deal with these guys. At least, my money is going to an honest company, who cares, and doesn't add random zeros to the end of prices, when something very reasonable could be done instead. These guys are the worst people I've ever dealt with in business (and, I've worked with around 15 software platforms at this point). Also, it is cheaper to run my business there, than it is to stay here. Their solution to my problem - "hire an accountant to review every invoice, to meet every tax law, or give us $2000, for around 10hs of work" (what software engineers said in Canada said it would take). So, basically, any fix means paying 10x what is needed, but at the time you start, you now have your stuff all on their platform and have no choice? These guys were some of the worst people I have ever dealt with in a business context, and remember - if you are in the US, Canada, or the EU, going though legal proceedings to deal with people in India, who are engaging in deceptive practices, is HARDER. At least, if an EU/US/Canadian person rips you off, there are lots of clear channels to use. Finding a way forward with these guys is hard. Also, check out Pinlearn - similar software, who quoted $200 for "able to charge taxes." Absurd. These guys took my money, acted helpful, and then added an extra 0 on the cost of what a reasonable thing should be. What if I needed something else to shift? I don't want extra 0s added on any "customizations" (which they seem to set it up, to need you to request). Oh, they also offered a refund, delayed reply for over two weeks, and then declared the product out of warranty. I don't know who is in charge here, but these guys leave a terrible feeling in my stomach. I'd rather pay more, for people who are honest and care about their product. As a matter of principle, these guys aren't getting any additional money -- I think they are highly deceptive, and trap people to just raise the prices. If it works at base function, you have a TINY business, and don't plan to grow? You are fine. Have a big dream? These guys, in my experience, saw this as an opportunity to drain me. Not only the financial loss, but the emotional loss of meeting people who you thought would be helpful, and then engaged in objectively deceptive practices. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Also, remember, as they are in India, if you are in the EU, US, or Canada, it's really hard to hold them accountable through any public industry, as the standards for business practices and accountability there are different. You want a yocoach account? Reach out. You can have mine, that I paid for, for free. I am not going to use it, and would love to save people the headache of dealing with these people - notably, if you have a dream. I went from being in the best mood of my life (not even kidding) to being in one of the worst, from dealing with these people. And, I am not being reactive: i am happy to pay an ETHICAL company, in the EU (where I can hold them accountable, easily, if they mess around) $200/month, and leave my YoCoach account - for which I have already paid - unused. Take mine, for free (if this thing lets you message people). I literally don't care, and refuse to use it. I would love to do that, to protect people from dealing with this business. Or, at least, if you don't believe me, that these guys do weird stuff, be cautious, on this point alone: it's annoying and complex to hold an Indian company accountable. Use a company in the US/UK/EU/Canada, and risk your money and dreams there; at least, if it goes wrong, the pathways to escalation are clear, and obvious paths to accountability exist.

I like the way they work, they are working in collaboration. They endeavour to do the best in a decent amount of time. They keep you informed periodically. You can easily reach them. If they are on holiday, you will have been informed beforehand. They are really constructive people.

Pros

We are in contact with \[sensitive content hidden\] since the time we started the project. We had \[sensitive content hidden\] as a project owner on their end, then \[sensitive content hidden\]. All these 3 people are excellent, supportive, open for communication, leading the projects really well. Yo!coach platforms provide exactly what we look for. If there is any improvement/modification required, they check and give you some options to enable what you need and they present these options in affordable level. Every system has bugs. The important thing is the response when you tell them to the responsible people. They are very well in sorting these kinds of problems. To be honest, I didn't see a big problem up until now and they managed easily and in sincerely.

Cons

I didn't see a particular con that cause me to write here, but i can share just a remark. I think selecting a proper slot from the calendar when you open the website in mobile phones can be improved. Sometimes it may cause a problem for the elders. You need to get used to how to use it, like touch and drag, but it 's not a big deal for us now.

Pros

Yo!Coach makes it easy for me to scale my business and manage the day to day things like onboarding, scheduling and payments. It came at the right time for us just when we were scouring the market looking for something that was affordable but effective. Now we can focus on growing the business and not worry about tones of admin work.

Cons

There are times when things like Zoom integrations play play up, but this has nothing to do with Yo!coach but on the Zoom's side. However, Yo!coach's team are always receptive and happy to help whenever there are issues.

Everything was very straightforward and very clear. Meetings started always on time, the adjustments were made and deadlines worked pretty well.

We took on YoCoach with the best intentions. However, it has been a train crash and our company has paid for the product but we are not currently using this as it simple does dont work. the system is full of bugs and there is constant maintance needed. FatBit technologies and YoCoach will promise that they can manage all features but this is just to get the quick sale.

For a language based programme with basic functions this works

The system software is full of bugs, client onboarding is complicated and inconsistent and the software is not safe to use for students. Data is not protected and there are serious child protection concerns.

The application met the need for our online language learning platform. Although we were asked extra fees for some features we thought could come by default .

Pros

Yo-coach has many readymade features for online tutoring and live coaching with student management, tutor management and payment processing features which is what i needed.

Cons

the responsiveness and user friendliness of the booking scheduling should be improved both at the user and tutor site. We were asked extra fees for some features we thought could come by default .

### "Great Value for Your Money"

Overall, my experience with Yo!Coach has been positive. The assistance they provide in walking you through how to best use the website, as well as the responsiveness when issues arise has been invaluable.

Pros

The software includes virtually everything that you will need to begin your online marketplace. They even included sample blogs and emails to clients. The dashboards for students and teachers are beautiful and easy to use.

Cons

It is not always intuitive where to update or edit images and language on the front end of the website from the administrative side.

Reason for choosing Yo!Coach

I only briefly considered other products because Yo!Coach's software was the only one that had exactly what I was looking for. The price was right, too.

Our experience with YoCoach is grest! Their sales and account managers are welcoming and knowledgeable. They are eager to help you start your business right.

Pros

We like that it was built out in only few days. The platform is full of features to get you started with online tutoring business. The website was built so it can be managed by an admin without a background in website development.

Cons

The theme installed is great. But this is the only theme they have. It would be good to have several options to choose from.
