So this helps to meet GDPR compliance. The initial setup was easy and I can find a lot of documentation on internet, or eventually ask for help to Synology support. Pros The interface is simple and intuitive. You can set the nas and install/configure services and apps (I recommend a RAID 5 disk configuration for better performance). I use Diskstation as backup repository for email accounts and data. As data backup, Email backup is crucial too and you can backup e.g. all your 365 mailboxes and features. Also you can set remote backups of your data. Definitely worth the price. Solo per questo sarebbero da consigliare. Aggiungiamo poi l'infinita quantità di opzioni, personalizzazioni e quindi la flessibilità che il sistema garantisce già a partire da unità a 2 bay. Il sistema di backup "Hyperbackup" è completissimo ed offre funzioni avanzate. Anche il pacchetto "Surveillance station" è fatto molto bene. Pros Semplicità, scalabilità, affidabilità, comodità di utilizzo. Le uniche due volte che abbiamo avuto bisogno di assistenza software, per giunta fuori garanzia, synology non ha fatto problemi, si sono collegati da remoto risolvendo a costo zero. Cons Ultimamente obbligano ad utilizzare le loro unità di storage per usufruire dell'assistenza. Le licenze "Surveillance station" sono a mio avviso costose. Cons After 5 years of using Diskstation, I didn't find a major con. We can say the frequent updates were annoying. Pros Il est appréciable d'avoir autant d'options d'utilisations avec ce matériel, d'avoir de nombreuses applications pour tirer parti de toutes les diverses utilisations possibles. On peut par exemple créer un serveur multimédia, un Synology Mail Server, un web station (pour son site internet) ou un vidéo station.. etc. On peut simplement s'en servir comme serveur local de sauvegarde ou de partage de fichiers. Cons Les logiciels dédiés, l'interface générale et l'utilisation manque d'érgonomie. Certaines mises en place demande certaines compétences spécifiques et assez pointues en informatique. Heureusement il y a des tutoriels sur internet. Pros the built-in apps are some of the best in the industry. they also provide updates to the native OS with regular frequency. iSCSI work well. Like the ability to backup MS365. We migrated to a new Diskstation from an older Diskstation for one client and they process went so smooth. Cons SMB pricing is good, Enterprise pricing increases exponentially. Would like to see even more third-party integrations. Reasons for choosing DiskStation I was able to see it work in a live environment prior to purchasing.
