### "Must have for any serious company. Better than VIMEO!"

December 1, 2025

5.0

Very good! If I would be an investor, I would definitly go with it. It's ui is very solid and it has everything you need. Even image

Pros

Gumlet being an all-in-one tool for everything about video. Like VIMEO but better. Custom domain, manage response headers and origin reuest headers for images. Man, it's great!!

Cons

I don't think I've found a single thing in Gumlet to not like. But if I have to name 1 thing, it might be missing integration with Pabbly. But it has API and webhook so not really a problem :)

### "High-Quality and Robust Security Video Hosting Made Easy"

January 8, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Gumlet has been very robust. The platform is simple to understand and manage, which is crucial for anyone looking to streamline their content hosting needs. The combination of a clean UI, flexible usage policy, and high-quality storage options makes it a strong contender in the video hosting market. I find it to be a highly effective solution that meets my needs without breaking the bank, especially given the unlimited streaming feature. I would definitely recommend Gumlet to anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly video hosting service.

Pros

One of the standout features of Gumlet is its user interface. It’s incredibly clean and perfectly navigable, making it easy to find what you need without any hassle. I also appreciate their straightforward usage policy, which allows for hosting in minute increments. This feature simplifies the process of managing video content and makes it easy to calculate costs. Additionally, the platform supports storage of videos at up to 4K resolution, which is fantastic for maintaining high-quality content. The plan I’m on also offers unlimited streaming of videos, making it an extremely cost-effective solution compared to other major video platforms. Also I have member videos that I am hosting with Gumlet which need to be secured. In my experience Gumlet offers probably the most robust security of all the hosting platforms.

Cons

This is maybe not fair to call a con because I bought knowing it wasn't a feature and not offered as one. However, while Gumlet excels in many areas, I would like to see an expansion in their storage capabilities. Currently, they offer facilities for video and image storage, but I believe adding PDF storage would enhance the platform's versatility and usability. This addition would be particularly beneficial for users who need to manage a variety of content types in one place.

### "Gumlet Review after 1 month"

January 8, 2025

4.0

Overall experience was good, because the main purpose of Gumlet was used to host videos on our website.

Pros

I like the video cdn bandwidth and DRM protection feature where we can secure our video content and speed up our video bandwidth on our website

Cons

Some of the documentations are not explained thoroughly, sometimes some of the function may face minor bugs, one of the case happened to me was unable to verify custom domain CNAME, although the cname has already set on my DNS zone editor

### "Great product with exeptional support"

December 2, 2025

5.0

I'm very satisfied with the service. The upload process is fast and simple, and my videos play smoothly without buffering. Highly recommended if you’re a coach or provide elearning services like me

Pros

It’s also easy to use, lets me upload videos quickly, and playback is smooth without worrying about bandwidth limits. This makes it a great choice for creators who need reliable video hosting for their websites and online courses.

Cons

Gumlet team should invest more in marketing because I discovered this platform a bit late. With better promotion, more creators could benefit from its fast streaming, generous bandwidth, and polished interface

### "A Solid Upgrade From YouTube Embeds With Real Control"

November 18, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Gumlet has been very positive. I have been using it for more than a year now, almost on a daily basis, and it has proven to be stable, modern and extremely reliable. The platform streamlines how I handle video across multiple websites, and the combination of clean embeds, strong performance and efficient workflow tools makes it stand out. Even with a few wishlist features, Gumlet delivers consistently and has become an essential part of my setup.

Pros

Gumlet gives me full control over how videos appear on my website. Unlike YouTube embeds, no external videos or competitor suggestions show up after playback. Embedding is extremely simple, fully responsive, and the collections feature helps organize videos in a clean and scalable way. The API is another major benefit because it allows me to automate uploads, updates and management across my workflows. The player can also be customized per collection, which is great for consistent branding.

Cons

Gumlet lets me select any frame or upload an image for a thumbnail, but I miss having a built-in thumbnail creator for more eye catching designs. I would also like more flexibility in adjusting player icons and their placement. These are smaller points, but noticeable if you use videos frequently.

### "An excellent tool for protecting your videos from piracy with DRM technology."

November 27, 2025

5.0

My overall experience has been very positive. It's a fast platform and doesn't show any errors. The main features, such as uploading and sharing videos, are quite simple, even for people who have never used the platform before. The main reason I purchased this platform was for the DRM protection and all the security features. While some more advanced settings, such as DRM protection, require a little more technical knowledge, the interface is intuitive and the basic workflow is easy to manage. The speed at which videos load and the ability to customize the player make for a pleasant experience.

Pros

I really like how quickly the videos load and the wide range of configurations it allows us to make. When I decided to switch, it was mainly because of the DRM protection it offers and how affordable it is. Few platforms provide all these protection features at such a price. In terms of usability, the main features such as uploading a video, configuring it, and sharing it are quite easy.

Cons

I would have liked the control panel to be available in multiple languages, but it is only in English. Also, although the main functions such as uploading and sharing videos are quite easy, the more complicated functions such as configuring DRM protection are a little more technical. I would also have liked more documentation and for it to be up to date. I watched a video on your channel on how to configure DRM, and the options are not exactly as shown in the video.

### "Solid video hosting with fair pricing for small agencies"

November 30, 2025

4.0

I run a small insights agency and we use Gumlet to host training videos, client walk throughs and webinar replays. We used Wistia before and liked it, but the costs added up compared with our actual usage. Gumlet has been a better balance between quality and price. Once I got past the first setup, it has been very low stress. I upload, embed and do not need to think about it. Videos load quickly for our clients in different regions and the player looks clean on our site. Overall, it does what we need without feeling overpriced or overbuilt for a small team.

Pros

The video playback is fast and reliable and good value for money. We have clients in the US, Europe and Asia and no one complains about buffering. The CDN setup was a big factor for me and Gumlet has handled that well. I also like that I can brand the player, control which sites can embed our videos and use simple security options for client-only content. The pricing feels fair for how often our videos are actually watched, especially compared with what we paid for other tools over time (for example Wistia, which was great product too, but Gumlet is better for our needs).

Cons

The dashboard took a bit of time to learn. Some settings are not in the places I expected and I still sometimes click around to find what I need. It is not hard, just not obvious at first. The layout could be a bit more friendly for non-technical users.

### "I'm glad I discovered Gumlet"

January 29, 2026

5.0

I really enjoy Gumlet. It's a way better alternative to Vimeo or the like! We tried many video platforms before and now plan to stick with it, because the team also keeps shipping updates and improvements each month.

Pros

The video player comes with a React Native embed out of the box: this is great for developers! Also the design of the player is great and both loading time and video quality are amazing.

Cons

There are minor UI weaknesses, e.g. navigation logic and orientation. But one gets used to it quickly. In playlists there is a weird behavior that mutes the next video. And the subtitles should have a bit more padding to the left and right — typography lover speaking here. That are the only things that I have noticed so far.

### "My new solution for hosting and sharing videos"

December 2, 2025

5.0

After trying out other tools, Gumlet has become my new go-to solution for hosting and managing videos. In short, it's a very complete tool and an excellent addition to my workflow.

Pros

File uploads are incredibly fast, and playback is always smooth, without any stuttering or annoying loading times. Another feature I really appreciate is the player's customization: I can hide the progress bar, place the logo wherever I want, disable all controls, or even enable a download button when needed. It also offers powerful extra features like adding CTAs, creating playlists, and tailoring the experience to each project. In short, it's a very complete tool and an excellent addition to my workflow.

Cons

Perhaps a little more customization of the Call To Action in terms of shape and size (padding, ...).

### "Awesome video security! It keeps your stuff safe from downloads and screenshots."

March 7, 2025

5.0

Pros

I recently started using Gumlet, and I gotta say, I'm really impressed! One feature that stands out for me is their video hosting. It's super secure—like, you can't download the videos or even take screenshots of them! That gives me a lot of peace of mind, especially when I'm sharing content that I want to keep protected. The overall interface is pretty user-friendly, making it easy to upload and manage my videos. Plus, the streaming quality is excellent, which is a huge bonus. If you're into video content and need something that keeps your work safe while still looking great, I highly recommend checking out Gumlet. It's definitely been a game-changer for me!

Cons

One thing I wasn’t a big fan of with Gumlet is the CNAME feature being a paid add-on. It would be nice if it came included, especially since having a custom domain for your video hosting makes everything look more professional. But now I have to consider an extra cost just to set that up. It feels a bit like they’re nickel-and-diming for something that should really be standard, you know? Overall, I love the platform, but that part could definitely be improved!

### "Solid and good alternative to Vimeo"

December 1, 2025

5.0

Coming from Vimeo Plus, I actually made the steps to move to Gumlet before Vimeo suddenly increased the amount of space in their Plus subscription. As I was already in midst of moving files and embeds over to Gumlet, I continued and honestly the process was pretty easy. For me, it's a good alternative to Vimeo.

Pros

\- Clear interface, easy to use. - Uploading was excellent, especially with the multiple import options for bulk import. - Not unique to Gumlet, but the ability to customize the (majority) look and feel of the player is great, especially with custom logo and color set.

Cons

\- Maybe I'm overseeing things, but I miss the option to organize the video's in multiple directories within a single directory (with parent > child directories). - The player itself does not seem to be localized, the controls seem to be fixed to English.

Its an enterprise grade video hosting tool which is not for those who are not going to be seriously investing in creating and publishing videos for a living. If you are, this could be harnessed well.

Pros

### "Exceptional video hosting service."

January 22, 2025

5.0

I need to point out the high cost of subscribing to a monthly service just to enable DRM. However, Gumbler offers an affordable video hosting service with built-in DRM. This eliminates the need for third-party services and saves a significant amount of money. Additionally, the fast loading speeds mean there is no extra stress on my website server and hosting. This is truly a deal you shouldn't miss. It's one of the best all-in-one video hosting and DRM solutions available right now.

Pros

The CDN and hosting speed for the video courses are extremely fast, which enables my students to learn without technical hindrance. Another point to consider is that most video hosting services tend to limit their service by storage space. However, Gamlet uses time duration as a measurement. I believe this is a better approach because it allows me to always upload videos at the highest quality without concerns. Using duration as a metric is a much better option than having to sacrifice and compromise on quality.

Cons

### "Best tool for DRM video hosting but expensive at same time"

December 14, 2024

4.0

Overall i am satisfied with my purchase of gumlet video subscription. I am looking to go longterm with this company. There is more room for improvement in terms of pricing and making it more affordable.

Pros

Gumlet is best platform to secure your videos with DRM protection. It has made netflix like DRM protection accessible to everyone. There are many features that i liked and i use extensively like Dynamic watermarking , domain restriction for embedding videos, customisable video player, e-learning video hosting with playlist that too is optimised for user device screen & network speed. I get to check analytics on how much video is consumed and what users area learning from stats. I am looking forward to implement gumlet in our android and ios app as well. Webhooks are another good thing to send data to our automation tool pabbly. There we send notificaitons to users regarding their progress. I have not used gumlet images tool but seen companies like 1mg using it to host images. Overall i am satisfied with gumlet video, it gives me peace of mind that my content is protected 24/7 for piracy. Top of all this, i have got gumlet appsumo lifetime deal, this has made our intry to DRM in some budget cost.

Cons

Gumlet has DRM protection in highest business plan only. This is very disappointing as it forces customer to buy higher plan even we doesnt have that kind of huge bandwidth or content storage requirement. Most of content creaters in eduction or other fields need to protect small amount of videos in DRM. In this use case Gumlet becomes expensive. As we received lifetime deal on appsumo, then only our cost become in some budget. Otherwise its very expensive to get DRM protection from gumlet. They should think about this and make it available in lower end plans as well. Even other players in market offering yearly plan at same price that gumlet charge for a month.

### "Fantastic Video DRM Site"

November 25, 2024

5.0

Gumlet has been good in terms of their video DRM capabilities in terms of our experience. We majorly use their platform for the purpose of protecting our premium videos through Widevine DRM encryption. Their primary purpose which is to maintain our videos from access and theft has been working quite well. The video DRM implementation in terms of the process was not very complex. Their software abstracts the troublesome aspects of DRM key lifecycle management and cross-platform integration (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay) into the background which enabled us to skip a lot of development efforts. The integration with our existing video delivery pipeline worked well, although we had to make some support clarifications during the first configuration stage. However, there are some challenges. The CNAME charging policy seems to be unreasonable in case of what should be a basic feature. Even more disturbing is the fact that the pratice of removing videos from our library does not trigger immediate revision in our storage costs. Such a disconnect between costs seems to owe to the difficulty in efficient management of our repository of content, especially when we needed to do so under tight budgets. The platform’s uptime has been mostly stable, and all implemented devices have had fairly good DRM functionality. While the DRM features are working as intended, I believe that the documentation for those features might be expanded in scope, for instance, on how to address specific playback issues across multiple devices.

Pros

Working with the video security functions provided by Gumlet, I have found the use of Widevine DRM integration to be very simple. One of the things I like the most is how they have made this intricate task of video content encryption much easier. It is far easier to protect video material across multiple platforms and devices through Gumlet’s consolidates solution that endorses Widevine, PlayReady, and FairPlay than struggling with several different DRM technologies individually. The actual worth originates in the manner in which they have integrated the encryption procedure into their video workflow. After installing the policies of DRM, it simply becomes a “set and forget” Construction. Every video gets encrypted according to the parameters you set forth and the rest, including the key management, is done automatically. Our team has saved a lot of time and effort, which was formerly wasted on manual handling of the encryption processes.

Cons

Without an ounce of doubt, the most disheartening and the most challenging aspect of the platform has to be their CNAME charging policy. Having to pay extra for something as simple as custom domain support comes off as quite strange because other media services and CDNs offer this as part of their core offerings. It feels as if this pricing policy is creating some sort of great wall of china around what should have been a core feature. What is worse is their adoption of a costing policy for video storage, how it calculates the storage cost for videos in particular on removals, is rather dispendious. Whenever you touch your library videos, it is self explanatory that you would want to update your metric of storage immediately, and that is all this software lacks, the delay. To put it simply, there is a period where you are inhibiting space you are not utilizing and there laximunity provided by the software obliterates that space. This is even more dangerous when you are actively pursuing a lot of media into your software and trying to manage the storage costs effeciently. The combination of extra payment for CNAME and an alteration of the storage updating system does make the budgeting side of things difficult for businesses trying to be cost neutral in regards to their media hosting fees.

Pros

Gumlet makes is convenient to upload and share video material. I like that I can just drag and drop a clip and in a few minutes have a viewing page that I can share with a client or if I choose to do so an embed code for a website.

### "The video hosting tool I've been waiting for"

November 26, 2024

5.0

I've tried a few video hosting tools but this one really stands out the best! The user interface is really great and easy to navigate - not clunky at all. You can import videos from various sources which is a time saver. I love that it's mobile optimised as I use my phone for a lot of my content. Embedding videos is a breeze and the videos play smoothly with no issues like buffering. I like the analytics too - great to see what my users like (and don't like so much)!

Pros

Tough to pick one. I'd say the ease of use! I don't have to keep reminding myself where things are and how to navigate everytime I need to use it.

Cons

The limits are not on the generous side but the pricing allows for an upgrade if I ever need more bandwidth etc

Gumlet offers an intuitive interface that makes it easy to navigate through. I was able to make clicks through the various areas and knew how to upload videos, create channels, adjust settings. The functionality and feature set is unmatched so it helps with our use case with course management.

Cons

The limits on subscribers. I would have loved to have no cap on it but I understand why they set the limit they do.

### "A Serious New Leader in Professional Streaming Video"

December 17, 2024

5.0

Excellent customer service, frequent updates, a dev team with clear vision, and a price which small businesses can grow with. Gumlet is a serious new leader in the world of professional streaming video.

Pros

Loved: 1. Complete control over onboarding video. 2. Both DRM and non-DRM solutions for content protection. 3. The ability to customize the media player for different use cases.

Cons

Need work: 1. A better drill down on analytics on each media player (there are more options per title than per media player) 2. A better UX/UI experience for the channels

### "Gumlet Video: The best CDN you can have for your videos"

November 26, 2024

5.0

Pros

The CDN is really fast. I was previously using BunnyCDN, but Gumlet has all the features, plus its much more than that.

Cons

I would appreciate if we can get more channel subscribers.

Switched from

[bunny.net](https://www.capterra.com/p/235247/bunnynet/)

Due to faster CDN speeds and great pricing.

It has been decent so far, the support is responsive

Pros

Provides an incredible affordable video hosting and streaming solution

Cons

I would like to see a better more intuitive UI, making it easier to navigate and work with videos within the platform. As well, better implementation of webhooks and native integrations with automation solutions.

December 3, 2024

5.0

Pros

\- stores all my videos - can customize player settings - love the control

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve. I wish I could store actual transcripts with the videos, in addition to the subtitles.
