They have lived up to their claims they make on the website. I love that they listen to their customers. They have been very responsive to our needs. It brings me joy knowing that our employees love using it because it means receipts are being turned in on time. Pros It's an all-in-one expense management system. Before using Ramp, we used American Express and Zoho. It's been great having everything in one house now. Our team loves that they received instant text messages and or emails when a purchased has been made. Being able to create virtual cards in an instant has been great. We also love how simple reimbursements have been using Ramp. The slack integration is good, and I have no doubt will improve. They've been very responsive to missing features. Cons I would love to see some more features around delegation. Allowing others (like administrative assistants) fill out their receipts on their behalf without giving them full access to the users account. Our team is geographically dispersed, but Ramp makes it easy to collaborate on bookkeeping, expense reimbursements, and basic expense reporting. Applications and companies like Ramp help businesses focus on their more important operations. Pros Quick delivery of incoming payments and notification is always ahead of schedule. Very interactive employees and that is always appreciated! Cons The sales employees can be a little persistent in regards to utilizing more of the application. Employees receive their monthly spending limit and a virtual and physical card. Then they upload receipts into the system as they use it. The card locks after a certain time if receipts aren’t uploaded. Also you can flag spending after a certain amount. All in all a great system to track employee expenses. Pros This product make employee expense tracking so easy! Cons The set up can be a little tedious but once you are on there it’s very easy to use. July 28, 2025 5.0 I love Ramp - wouldn't work our Accounting Team with anything else at this point. Time saving in AP for sure. Pros Ramp is a great way to manage all your credit card transaction in one place as well as have Bill Pay to pay all your bills. You can have invoices emailed right into Ramp saving to time not having to enter each bill individually. Easy to learn - they provide training - it's secure with credit card transactions and they help with any issues. If you have QuickBooks the program is Free, so the value is more than perfect! It sync's with QuickBooks so Accounting is super simple, and the number of users for user interface is not charged either as long as you are syncing with QuickBooks. Its features are above and beyond any other program I looked into. Cons Sometimes it's hard to get tech support to respond as Quickly as I would like - but I am not super patient person when it comes to issues that do come up, but response time is usually within 24 hours. This has simplified our processes and increased usability for end-users. Pros Ramp is super easy to use and very intuitive. The ability to submit expenses via email and SMS has eliminated the need for tracking, keeping and trying to keep track of receipts. Previously, we were issuing physical credit cards from our bank, which made it challenging to get those back or enforce approvals on purchases. Ramp has made it really easy for us to customize and streamline credit card access internally. Pros The highlight of Ramp is the ability to issue digital credit cards with varying limits, which empowers our fully remote organization and also makes it easy to issue and rescind cards for new hires or departing employees. Additionally, the receipt submission flow makes it easy for purchases to get reviewed and approved as needed. Cons Honestly, at this point, there's nothing that I like least about Ramp. Our organization has turned off the Gmail auto scan integration, which adds an extra step for receipt submission, but that's an internal complaint :) Review Source HC Harrison C. Fantastic customer support, amazing solutions that accelerate accounting processes, providing invaluable insights into our expenses / payables so we can best forecast our expenses and create value in what we actually do. Pros The UI is outstanding and has tremendously helped my firm track and analyze our expenses and payables to better forecast and plan budgets. Also, the integrations are fantastic and make reporting and automating the accounting process a seamless experience that has allowed people to free up time and create value elsewhere. Cons There are not really any cons to Ramp. It is awesome to see a start-up like Ramp take market share and offer a product that the marketplace needed. I also love the multiple digital credit cards with active/non-active controls. You can also set-up automatic lock on cards that are missing information or receipts. And it's essentially free. Cons The UX could be improved on the missing items page. Reason for choosing Ramp They were responsive, knowledgeable, inexpensive, and friendly. Everyone used their personal card for travel expenses and it was a very cumbersome process to track and reimburse everyone. After some extensive research, we settled on Ramp and were so pleased with the ease of rolling it out to the team. It worked very well for our needs and ended up being such a timesaver. Pros Super easy interface for both admins and users. I also loved how we could personalize the company cards, and how quickly and easy to track the cards were sent. When I used Ramp I worked at an entirely remote organization with employees in over 20 states and it made it so easy. Cons At the time when we unveiled Ramp (early 2023), we had to put together a lot of documentation for our users, but I'm guessing by now they might have more robust templates to use for this purpose. The expense reimbursement platform has eliminated countless hours for our sales and customer service teams to focus on their clients versus administrative work. The internal controls and spend programs on ramp are well documented and places strong internal controls within the accounting department. Cons There is nothing I can say I do not like about Ramp, but only enhancement would be able to pass prepaid amortization journals to QB. If an expense is paid within Ramp via CC or BILL function, it can be coded to prepaid account, but the amortization journals have to be posted in QB. A strong control and time saver would be for Ramp to create the amortization rules and pass via API to QB to post. I recommend them to everyone. Pros The hours saved for our accounting department, chasing expense reports and missing receipts. Cons As far as functionality is concerned I disliked nothing, there has been one negative but i dont think it is RAMPs fault. I have had my credit card shut off and replaced about yearly. July 9, 2023 5.0 We signed up with Ramp just to provide credit cards for a few young employees (who didn't have much credit history), but will likely adopt Ramp as our expense management platform for the whole company. Pros The richness of both physical and virtual credit card configuration options is truly impressive. Cons Credit card limits are based solely on your company's bank balance, so could be an issue for some companies at certain times of the year. November 15, 2023 5.0 Pros I like that Ramp helps me track the mileage I've driven so that I get reimbursed properly. I also like that Ramp quickly attaches my receipts to credit card expenses without me having to individually do it for each transaction. It cuts out a step for me and makes the process easy. Cons I think the thing I like least about ramp is that extra verification step it sometimes makes me do but most apps and sites do that now. Cons One of the only struggles that we've had is keeping up with changes to the system. Where to find things is continuously moving and while the system does a decent job of informing us, sometimes it is challenging to find where certain actions have changed (sometimes things have been renamed, other times an action has moved to a different subcategory in the menu bar). January 12, 2023 5.0 The issue of spending is very important, and we used to suffer in the past from managing the spending process and obtaining funds as well as approvals, and with Ramp we got rid of all that effort, and transferring money requests, completing payment operations, as well as organizing records became absolutely easy, and tracking operations became easier. Pros The Virtual Ramp Card is great because it accurately sets spending caps, helping employees stick to a spending plan without going over budgets and allowing the accounting department to track expenses and approve or deny them. I like that I can request an emergency spend increase via the mobile app and get approved instantly. I love that Ramp organizes the spending process in every detail. When I make a payment, I receive a message on my phone. Ramp also records directly on the logs the time and amount spent. I can upload the receipt, enter notes, and send it for approval without any complications and within minutes. Cons Ramp is almost flawless, simple and easy to use, and the mobile app is carefully designed and greatly simplifies operations for users.
