Customer support isn't that great though. They are slow to respond. Pros What I like most about Ramp is how it matches the receipt and categorizes it as soon as a transaction posts. Cons What I like least about Ramp is that your balance is based on your bank account and can down suddenly. December 12, 2025 4.0 Overall, it has been very positive with no complaints about the usability of the technology itself. I am very satisfied with how we are using it to pay vendors. Pros Ramp makes bill payment a breeze. They have more logical functions as far as integrations and reporting than their competitors, the speed to vendor payment is swift, and they charge in a logical fashion, not some of the inflated rates of other players in the market. Cons They tend to be fragmented and continue to send sales pitches for the products that I am already enrolled in. So communications need improvement. I like that theres a setting so you basically have to upload a receipt. Pros Receipt management and physical card management is very nice to have for employees as well as making virtual cards. Cons Theres not a whole lot to not like some of the pre built permissions arent the best or the most accurate for permissions needed. The reason for the switch was to take some of the work off of the shoulders of the accountants. Pros Ramp is perfect. The ease of uploading receipts, tracking mileage, splitting charges to certain expense accounts. It works so well. Cons Nothing. There is nothing wrong with Ramp at all. The UX design is simple and is easy to navigate. It's easy to track spending. Cons It's occasionally difficult to log in to Ramp. At first I was using a Ramp log in and then it was somehow linked to my Gmail. Everyone used their personal card for travel expenses and it was a very cumbersome process to track and reimburse everyone. After some extensive research, we settled on Ramp and were so pleased with the ease of rolling it out to the team. It worked very well for our needs and ended up being such a timesaver. Pros Super easy interface for both admins and users. I also loved how we could personalize the company cards, and how quickly and easy to track the cards were sent. When I used Ramp I worked at an entirely remote organization with employees in over 20 states and it made it so easy. Cons At the time when we unveiled Ramp (early 2023), we had to put together a lot of documentation for our users, but I'm guessing by now they might have more robust templates to use for this purpose. The tracking is simple and the integration with QBO is good so far. Pros Ramp was easy to get started with and has already saved us time and money on expense tracking. We use their credit cards for staff so that expenses will be better tracked and categorized. Cons Ramp wants all of your business and will do everything that they can to make sure that they get all of it. Applications and companies like Ramp help businesses focus on their more important operations. Pros Quick delivery of incoming payments and notification is always ahead of schedule. Very interactive employees and that is always appreciated! Cons The sales employees can be a little persistent in regards to utilizing more of the application. IT is very easy to upload a receipt as you can also just text the receipt or email it. The notifications are not overbearing from the application. They are able to provide a virtual card for spending on corporate accounts. Cons Nothing I can think of. The expense reimbursement platform has eliminated countless hours for our sales and customer service teams to focus on their clients versus administrative work. The internal controls and spend programs on ramp are well documented and places strong internal controls within the accounting department. Cons There is nothing I can say I do not like about Ramp, but only enhancement would be able to pass prepaid amortization journals to QB. If an expense is paid within Ramp via CC or BILL function, it can be coded to prepaid account, but the amortization journals have to be posted in QB. A strong control and time saver would be for Ramp to create the amortization rules and pass via API to QB to post. October 24, 2023 5.0 Pros The Ramp platform makes it easy to do everything that a corporate card administrator or user might need to: issue new cards, assign expense policies, code transactions, integrate with accounting software, suspend or terminate cards, adjust spending limits. Part of the reason we switched to Ramp is the fact that we can administer our card program almost entirely online, without having to call into a call center as we had to with Amex; coupled with no annual fees, going to Ramp was a no-brainer. The implementation process is straightforward and the Ramp team is there every step of the way, so you can have the platform up and running in a fairly short amount of time, particularly compared to some competing card expense reporting solutions. But the best thing by far is that Ramp "pays" you to use it in the form of cash rebates on certain transactions -- what a concept! Cons It's honestly quite difficult to identify any cons with the Ramp platform. One challenge we've had is that card authorizations (or merchant holds) take a long time to drop off; and before they do, the cardholder and their manager often get multiple notifications that a "transaction" requires action. Physical cards take several days to be delivered; other corporate card issuers turn cards around a lot faster. November 15, 2023 5.0 It has been great! It was easy to roll out and implement at our organization. Our employees adapted quickly and have also enjoyed the ease of managing and reconciling expenses quickly. Pros The ease of managing and reconciling charges through the mobile app instead of having to wait to get to a computer to upload receipts and enter detailed information for each charge. Manage as you spend - it's great and easy! Cons The inability to have multi-functioning roles within the ramp system. This would apply to an administrator who is also a manager and cardholder. It would also be nice if Ramp had a quicker method of communication such as instant chat instead of email. It would just be more convenient for time-sensitive questions. From an accounting perspective, everything from initial set up to issuing cards to setting up expense rules is streamlined and easy to use. We also constantly hear from our cardholders in the company how great the switch to Ramp has been due to the great user experience and not having to fill out traditional expense reports. Pros Ramp currently offers the best expense reporting product we have ever used. The system is incredibly easy to use for both accountants and cardholders. By eliminating standard expense reports, Ramp has saved our company countless hours without losing any control or oversight that you would have with standard expense reporting platforms. An surprise benefit has been that there is no cost to Ramp, and we actually make money with the 1.50% cash back perk on all card purchases. Cons We have no complaints with Ramp. Each update to the software continues to exceed our expectations and adds new functionalities that we benefit from. Switched from [ProcureDesk](https://www.capterra.com/p/175845/Procuredesk/) We switched away from the credit card program through our bank and the expense reporting module in ProcureDesk because of the lack of connectivity between the bank, ProcureDesk, and our accounting software (QBO). Pros The ability to require receipts and memo's be recording quickly has saved us many administrative hours in hunting down purchases. It has also saved us the lost receipt problem that we encountered with the more antiquated system we used to use. Cons I think the thing I like least about Ramp is the amount of sales people calling from other companies to try to take us away from Ramp.
