Students liked the materials provided, they enjoyed the digital version online without having to drag books around. They came around to get used to the auto graded for accuracy online exercises that they initially struggled with. I definitely would recommend Deutsch Aktuell to other colleages. Pros The new series, Deutsch Aktuell, is a step in the right direction. it is upbeat, exciting for students and had great appeal. The information is current. It also has a great online feature which came in handy during virtual time or when students are absent. There was no need to carry the books around since a digital copy is available onine for reference. The supplementary materials are numerous and teachers easiyl can pick from them to meet their needs. The autograded assignments were abonus along with the gradebook. :) Cons At the beginning, the ebook and supplementary materials were cumbersome to dig through. Students were frustrated if the assignemnts were auto graded and their grades plummeted. Of course, they were given the opportunity to learn from their mistakes and re-do the assignents. Eventually, they learned that Umlauts did count! At times heavy on grammar and less communicative....
