The biggest drawback is the inability to access data beyond 30 days, which makes it difficult to track long-term performance or compare campaigns over time. I value the local reach of the platform, but the lack of flexible reporting makes optimization more of a hassle than it should be. Pros From a marketing standpoint, it’s valuable because people trust the posts—they’re not just seeing ads; they’re seeing real conversations and referrals. Cons From a Marketing standpoint, you can only view stuff for your neighborhood if you are registered. As a marketer, I can not see neighborhood posts unless they tag the company name. I had no problems with the moderators. In the city of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina I'm on my 5th Suspension. I believe there is one moderator with HER radar on me, and swinging her rent a cop stick for all to feel. I've asked each time for feedback to get info on what I'm doing to break the rules, I get nothing. My hope fo not r this app is that it fails soon as it seems it won't take suggestions to improve. January 10, 2026 4.0 I’ve been a user for quite some time and will continue to utilize the program going forward. I haven’t seen a ton of advancement with the program. My biggest concern is those who use and abuse the platform, which is no different than any other type of social media platform. Pros I use this product in two different formats. Personally, I like that I can stay connected to events and announcements within my own neighborhood. On the work side, I am able to broadcast messages and announcements out to a specific geographical area. Cons 1) The general search capabilities. At times, it is impossible to locate older entries, even after viewing them minutes before. 2) The users of Nextdoor can be quite ridiculous. It really helped me when I was out of town find contractors and talk to neighbors about what was happening on the local level. Pros I love Nextdoor because it keeps me connected to all of my neighbors. I know what's happening in my area, and it's great for contractor recommendations, and just keeping the community in the loop. Cons Seeing all the missing animals. I think it would be great if NEXTDOOR created something in the app to help with the missing animals. If you are a liberal, then you will love this app because you will be part of the mob and be protected and supported by the moderators. If you you are independent or conservative then I highly recommend not using this app unless you want to constantly fight for almost every post or comment to stay up in the feed and be attacked by the mob. Let liberals stay in their little bubble or "safe space" they cannot handle the truth unless it agrees with their ideology. I've contacted support and the \[sensitive content hidden\] about this and sent many examples/screenshots and because of that, they banned my account again. It's crazy, so save yourself the migranes independents and conservatives...TRUST ME! Pros Local marketplace. Other then that, the hate is real if you do not agree with far left liberal ideology blatently displayed. Cons Liberal double-standard and biased actions displayed against conservative and independent views. The mob mentality is unconscionable against you if you do not agree with far left ideology. Pros Nextdoor is a social media tool that allows you to connect with local neighbors and people around you. Think Facebook for your community or hometown. Ive been lucky with finding used furniture that I could use, I have met several new people I consider friends, I have been able to help others that needed it. I have learned things I did not know about my area and my neighborhood until now, trash pickup schedules, I have been able to get help from neighbors on the app and then come help me with running out of gas as well as locking keys in our truck. This app has been a life saver! It’s hard to make friends out there especially if you were to just go knocking on neighbors doors. Pros I love that neighbors/neighborhoods can connect on here, I know that a ton of areas have shut ins so this gives them the opportunity to make friends and be a part of conversation too. Great for newcomers who don’t know anyone around and who need advice on directions, schools, stores nearby, garbage schedule, if there is any danger nearby, etc Cons I can’t say there was much I did not like, but as I said it can easy to meet others, I just wish the algorithm was a little better, and that there were less ads on the app. Review Source WO William O. It's great to be able to post pics and locations. Pros I was education about this software/app by a neighbor/friend. What a wonderful way to get to know your community! I have explored this software several times when in need or wanting to share. It is a great way to get to know your city, your town, your community, your neighborhood. Connecting with those who have like minds and exploring differences, isn't that what life is about? Everyone should join their local Nextdoor community. Pros What I like most is that it's a tool that can connect a community and neighbors. It allows us to talk and communicate and spread what's most important in the community what resources are available. It is a tool to allow to discuss concerns people may have. I don't believe there's anything that does the same thing out there. Cons The only thing I don't like is when people get off topic and start ranting and general comments become politicized. So it's not really a comment on the next door it's more on the users that I miss using it. I really enjoy using the app and am glad to have been invited in. Pros There are many things I enjoy about Nextdoor. The 1st is that is similar to social media sites and apps without so much influence. Parameters that are determined by your home address; ranging not farther than 5 or 10 miles. So it keeps online traffic out, it really helps with the crime and safety and you feel the community presents that cares. Cons Video upload i think needs to be easier for others to understand how to upload. I feel a lot of the community has video footage, cell phone, security cameras, or RING; they mention they have a video feed of an event but don't upload the content. Maybe the user can't figure out how? Maybe a step-by-step or something similar to get them to follow a procedure on how to upload video. Review Source AG Archit G. The app has been informative during issues within our neighborhood, allowing streamline communication with updates (electrical outages, police activity, etc.). Cons User abuse of the app has allowed negative feeds to take shape and explode...discouraging me from using the app more frequently.
