I appreciate its back to back encrypted messaging, file sharing, collaboration, as well as audio and video conferencing for those meetings when sensitive or confidential information was passed between colleagues or coworkers. Pros As a nonprofit organization, our business primarily relies on high level anonymous donors to sustain our work. Since working remotely has become a reality for most of us, our company was terrified of "Zoom bombing" during one of these important meetings. As a result, Wickr Pro provided the entire organization with an ease of mind that our meetings, files, notes, etc. would not be traced or hacked by a third party and used for nefarious purposes. Cons The software was hard to use at first. Compared to its competitors (i.e. Zoom and Google Hangouts), it took a while to gain experience to understand the ins and outs of Wicker Pro and how to use it properly, but it was well worth the peace of mind at the end. Pros Honestly at one point in my life Wickr has served me in a variety of ways. Self destructive texts and messages implied a mild addition to security in certain scenarios.. Many people I know have used wickr and some have sweared by its benefits. Cons Touch ID integration, mass adoptation and potentially insecure network stability poses a certain level of paranoia about using the platform but if your profile is not high than your interactions may not be at risk of compromization. Truthfully if safety measures could be more verified its significant especially when applications like this pose a risk to individuals considering the likelihood for government surveillence. Individuals use wickr for illegal activity and its publically known SO government may be more likely to harvest your data regardless if you are or not.
