Pros

Perhaps the ease to locate jobs that you want to find.

Cons

It's REALLY EXPENSIVE. I made my account some 3 years ago and I wasn't able to use it that much because I had a full-time job. But then that taxed me to not be seen at least by hiring managers because of the special badges that Upwork has which makes those people priorities and those who are new won't have the chance to be seen at least.

Pros

what I like about upwork its ease of use to work as a freelancer to find jobs or offer these services and also the most that my most is the function to work on a proposal when you apply for a job it allows to the employer to see our submission at the top of the list and to have a better chance of getting the job, and also the customer service which responds very quickly when we have a problem or something that we have not understood I find its great

Cons

what I liked less is that there are some unscrupulous employers who want to rip us off by offering to talk to them on other channels like wathsupp, or telegram but fortunately upwork customer service is there to warn us of all this

Big network of freelance professionals with a good variety of profiles Great for 1 time engagements

Cons

Hard to get really specific roles (3/4 complex skills) The rate they charge is quite high if you’re looking for long term hiring Posting process can be cumbersome

Upwork is not an easy platform to work, You will have to compete a lot. You will have to work hard to rank yourself better. New comers always feel a lot of difficulties because of having no experience at Upwork. Once you got your first few jobs, then You can enjoy online earning.

Pros

Upwork is a great platform for those who want to earn without traveling. My Upwork account blocked a few days back due to some reasons, but I found this tool very handy specially in Covid-19, when most of the work is being carried out from home.

Cons

Upwork has a very strict policy for its users. You can not edit your profile. Account approval is a big problem for users, because most of the fields require test for approval of account.

The whole experience felt positive, I was excited to get my publication developed and I was encouraged by my interactions with Upwork.

Pros

This layout is user-friendly, it was not difficult to post the job I was looking for (an illustrator.) I received several work samples in response to my post, and though one artist did stand out as superior, the other applicants demanded my consideration. It was not a waste of time.

Cons

I can't say I encountered any problems with this site.

Reason for choosing Enterprise Suite

This was the only recommendation I received from a very trustworthy advisor. It was painless to simply enlist the help of a system already found to be worthy by someone with a lot of experience finding freelance work.

A bit frustating.

Pros

I used it as a freelance for a long long time and the reputation based system worked for one to work harder and make better things.

Cons

Its is based in a very large offer of work for a very low return. It got harder and harder to compete on pricing and after a while I couldn´t get another job.

I was looking for some temporary projects for my extra earnings so I tried Upwork and luckily I managed to find some projects exactly what I was looking for.

Pros

I really like the variety of projects, in this platform you can easily find all kinds of projects anyone can easily filter active projects with their skill type. Integration from my previous tool was very smooth as it is very user-friendly.

Cons

There are a lot of scam projects, those users and projects should be blocked so that we can have quality work.

I really enjoy using this program. I have not received any offers as of yet, but I am optimistic about finding something I will excel at as well as enjoy.

Pros

I like the ease of this software. I can create a profile, like a living resume, and apply with it to any openings.

Cons

I don't like that those offering jobs don't respond when closing a listing. Even as a bulk notification, something would be better than nothing when I go back to look at a job to find it's been closed. I also wish I could add testimonials myself without having Upwork contact clients.

Once they became the market leaders they started doing greedy things. With every update they took a bigger piece of the cake and the conversion rates they apply are surreal. I would love to see more serious players in this field.

Pros

The single best thing is that they have a lot of talent inside the platform. That is the only reason I use them.

Cons

The interface is terribly restrictive and confusing, seems like several projects glued together without internal cohesion. The chat functionality is terribly buggy, it's literally the worst piece of software I've seen in my entire career by far.

Great benefits using this program. I have been able to hire small and big projects out and completed in a timely manner and minimal costs.

Pros

When I first used this process I didn't know what to expect. This is a great program to find outside work for big and small projects. You have the ability to review past work, reviews and ask questions before hiring someone within the price range you are needing.

Cons

The payment and compensation part of the program is a little confusing. If this part was a little clearer it would be helpful. Even with this small flaw, I still continue use the program.

They don’t advertise for the people on the site versus other companies. I didn’t get enough jobs so I shut down my profile.

Pros

Upwork is really the most critical tool you need to manage a startup when it comes to finding great talent. At our company we have used it over and over again to recruit for both short and long term assignments and we have been very successful finding good talent.

Cons

Nothing really stands out in terms of areas of improvement. It is simply a great tool that every startup needs.

Pros

Our office loves using upwork for projects we just don't want to do ourselves. We hired out for small and big projects.

Cons

We'd like options on tipping our contractors without upwork taking a portion of their tips - it seems like it would be a quick solution that I don't think upwork has considered.

Upwork has genuine people and jobs unlike other freelance platforms which have a lot of scammers. Most of the features are also free. And there is an Android app for Upwork as well

Cons

I do not get any notifications email notifications on available jobs that I am suited for thus I have to search for the jobs myself

Pros

Access to the Upwork community of contractors was incredible. The breadth of talent was great, but the quality was there which was so critical for us. Being able to connect with mid to high level talent for quick turnaround design jobs enabled us to scale up our content quickly and get after potential clients.

Cons

The sorting feature is nonexistent. There are some great ways to filter out the talent that you are not looking for, but with no sorting function, and limited keyword searching, I felt like I was probably missing out on some good talent that was down on page 5.

My overall experience of Upwork has been good, and if you used it when it was first called oDesk, it was a freelance system that really could provide a good online work space.

Pros

User-friendly interface. Easy to find jobs, apply, and to get your income from. They offer many payment withdrawing options, so you are able to receive your income quite easily.

Cons

My experience with Upwork was good, I would say as it is now, it can be quite congested with people applying for the same jobs, making it at times more slower for some to really get a good contract.
