It helps not only my students but also their parents and me to keep track of what is done at school every day. Padlet is constantly upgrading and introducing new features, making it an even more effective teaching and learning tool. The various functions, such as videos, audio recordings, images, links, and colour options, are eye-catching and fun to create. These interactive elements encourage students to connect to Padlet regularly and easily find the information they need. I am extremely happy with this platform and would 100% recommend it to other educators. Pros What I like most about Padlet is how easy and engaging it is to use. It allows me to organise and share information in a visually appealing way, making learning more interactive for students. The variety of features, such as videos, audio recordings, images, and links, helps me create attractive and dynamic content. Cons I think it would be great to include subcategories in each category as an option. For me, it would be easier to gather information instead of creating a new category. September 23, 2026 5.0 I have used padlet as the primary student journal platfom for over 5 years. I design the journal exactly how I like it (which I can't do with many apps designed as a journal), and I never have to worry that students will forget to take it because college students are never without their phone. Pros Padlet is so portable! I set up a padlet for each of my college student before our month-long trip and they use different columns to record where we went, what we did every day, as well as plants they identified, animals they saw, conversations they had with locals, and so much more. Unlike paper journals, they NEVER forget to bring their phone, so they always have their Padlat app! Cons I really can't think of anything I don't like, though there are many features I have not had need for. The gamification section has improved a lot and It's a very easy interface for students to use so collaboration is pretty straightforward. Cons At times it takes a long time to access the platform itself, which is possibly due to maintenance, but I get no email or notification about it. This makes for some days without being able to access it. I'm subscribed to Padlet’s Platinum which provides unlimited boards, increased file upload limits, and advanced capabilities for organizing and sharing a wide variety of materials. The tool helped me to create a centralized digital hub, significantly enhancing student engagement and streamlining access to critical academic and career planning resources. Pros What I liked most about Padlet is the variety of post types I can add in every section. Links, pdf, videos, forms and more. Cons The least I liked about Padlet is the purchasing of the subscriptions. I wish it was all for free for educational/school accounts. Pros Padlet is a great product for sharing files, images, interactive lessons, brainstorming ideas, etc. quickly and in a visual way. REal time collaboration is a huge plus! Padlet has great customer support. You can quickly share a Padlet with a group using a URL or a QR code. Cons Cost. There is a free version with a limited number of Padlets, but I always upgraded to get unlimited Padlets. As a teacher who has to pick and choose where to spend funds for classroom use, I have always added Padlet to my toolbox because of all of the features. Review Source Francis V. June 9, 2023 5.0 This tool is really helpful for a teacher with ADHD who has difficulties at times keeping things organized. I love the fact I can have students post all their answers in one location and it is quick and easy for me to check their responses. In addition, being that my students are younger, allowing students to give verbal/oral responses is powerful. Padlet also allows my students to be creative in how they want to communicate their thinking. It is also transcends all curriculum, in that it can be used in all subject areas...from gym, such as setting goals...to social studies, such as giving an opinion on the charter of rights and freedoms...or math, such as demonstrating their thinking for a question then taking a picture of their work. All of this in one place...amazing! Pros The ability for students to create responses in a multitude of ways (written, pic, video, voice memo, etc.) is empowering. In addition, being able to monitor their responses and provide immediate feedback is exceptional. The interface is slick and easy for all students to use. The kids in my class love it! Pros I initially use padlet for posting youtube music videos, but with my latest class I have asked them to also post introduction videos. When I initially tested out Padlet I saw that I could post music, word documents, presentations, gif files, and videos, so I knew in time I might expand upon my uses for it with my classes. Cons I want more selection of art or photos for screens, so it was more on the design choices. Switched from [Flip](https://www.capterra.com/p/182544/Flip/) Flipgrid or Flip was an app I used for student videos on assigned readings and introductions. Things like that. However they are changing platforms and pon JULY 1 everything is locked and archived, viewable only and will be deleted by OCT of this year. Which is okay. I actually went on to delete the prior Flip rooms I made but could not delete them and that is how I learned about their changes. As a teacher, many other resources are so subject specific that this tool is refreshing if you are a teacher of any subject and level. My creativity is the limit when it comes to how I can use the variety of layouts, options, etc. available with Padlet! Pros I love the live updates, the security features, ease of setup and use, the clean visual interface, new user intuitive, and an excellent way to use technology as a TOOL to enhance what I already do in the classroom. If you need student engagement and to incorporate more technology, give Padlet a try. I use it for art critiques, peer feedback, brainstorming, researching, etc. I use it for student portfolios and you can have a custom URL. Cons I wish the "Anonymous" name didn't appear for students that don't want to make an account (even though it is free). I then have to remind students to post their name for credit for their responses. I would like to see a field added where those contributing without an account have a "Name" field that I could enable so they would have to type something there before they can post. The new AI features are amazing and I am still working with refining my search terms. Students who are leery of technology have an easy time using Padlet and that is so helpful in easing them into other uses. Pros I absolutely love the new rubric creation! This is a task I dreaded and now actually look forward to creating rubrics. Padlet takes my directions and generates a rubric to my specifications. I can then make any minor tweaks necessary and boom -my job is done. Cons Honestly, what I like least is my inability to remember how to log in to our school site without having to open a pre-existing Padlet. That's all on me! My participants return to the padlets again and again. And each time I lead a workshop, we gain more ideas onto the Padlet. Pros I like that it’s visually stimulating and that it is a living document. There are many options for engaging with a Padlet too. Cons I wish the free version allowed for a few more padlets.
