My participants return to the padlets again and again. And each time I lead a workshop, we gain more ideas onto the Padlet. Pros I like that it’s visually stimulating and that it is a living document. There are many options for engaging with a Padlet too. Cons I wish the free version allowed for a few more padlets. August 7, 2024 5.0 I was introduced to it in 2019 and have found so many different uses for it in my face-to-face and online courses. Pros I love the many different ways I can use Padlet in my courses. I use the map feature to discuss periods and poverty in my sex education course; I use the video uploads for students to introduce themselves; and I use the picture upload for a qualitative analysis of culture in my gender roles class. Cons I don't like that I have to pay to use it in order to benefit from the uses I have for it, but at least it's tax deductible as a teacher expense. It's easy for everyone to access, has excellent security choices, and has helped me support learners across the globe for six years. Pros Padlet simplifies organization and allows me to get feedback from my learners and workshop participants in whichever mode they choose, whether it be audio, video, or text. I love how easy it is to just whip up a new Padlet and have it available in just a few minutes. Oh, and I can't forget that I can convert my Padlet to a pdf, making it easy to share with anyone who wants to see everything at a glance. AMAZING! Cons There really isn't any con that I can think of. Perhaps only that it doesn't come with a pony. (But if it did, I'm sure they'd think of some creative place for me to keep it!) " July 8, 2024 5.0 I love Padlet - it is always in my Top 5 Tech Tools that I take about at any presentation I do. Easy, so many options and I love the new recipes, this is very helpful for all users, new and old alike!! Pros I love that it is so user-friendly, it makes it an easy tool to introduce to students and staff that are tech hesitant. Lecturer E-Learning Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Padlet's Potential is Powerful" July 8, 2024 5.0 I love it and am still exploring in my mind the possibilites it is capable of for my classes. Pros I initially use padlet for posting youtube music videos, but with my latest class I have asked them to also post introduction videos. When I initially tested out Padlet I saw that I could post music, word documents, presentations, gif files, and videos, so I knew in time I might expand upon my uses for it with my classes. Cons I want more selection of art or photos for screens, so it was more on the design choices. Switched from [Flip](https://www.capterra.com/p/182544/Flip/) Flipgrid or Flip was an app I used for student videos on assigned readings and introductions. Things like that. However they are changing platforms and pon JULY 1 everything is locked and archived, viewable only and will be deleted by OCT of this year. Which is okay. I actually went on to delete the prior Flip rooms I made but could not delete them and that is how I learned about their changes. Good for provocations- music, images, video etc. Easy to use and intuitive for students. I've used it from Year 1 to Year 11 and all age groups can use it and understand it easily. Pros Makes collaborative thinking easy in a class environment. Students like the interactivity and instant nature of the platform. The templates make it quick and easy to prepare Padlets and it is great that you can share and download the finished content for future use. Cons Three free Padlets is a shame.
