As a teacher, creating ways for the students to participate in the class is really important; so Padlet provides ways for that. Pros Padlet is a nice way to share ideas with your class when you work online. You can correct your students in the comments, and they can interact with each other. As a teacher it is a quick way to gain feedback or to allow students to comment on posts in a similar way to social media but all within an educational setting. Pros Padlet is a fun and easy way to get your class to collaborate without leaving anyone out. Students really enjoy it as it is similar in concept to Twitter, but the teacher is ultimately in control. Cons Only allowed 3 padlets for the free account. I would have to be selective in what I wanted to use it for if I only used the free account. There are so many competing digital tools in education that it is overwhelming to decide, especially since most now have subscription settings. Pros I learned to use padlet during an online course where the entire course was setup via padlet. All documents as well as group projects were on there and it was sort of a timeline. Cons At first I really couldnt figure out how to scroll to the right along the timeline. I dont know if it was just me or if hte slide thing to move it is maybe a little small and unintuitive.
