### "I- Ready review"

June 11, 2021

5.0

Iready has been beneficial in seeing what areas students need to strengthen. It shows me lessons students are struggling with so I can either do whole group instruction on that concept or pull a small group for more instruction.

Pros

This software program is extremely user friendly for my 4th grade students. It is engaging while also helpful in providing individual lessons based on what the student needs. After the student answers a certain amount of questions, they have a brain break with a fun game to play. We use this daily in my classroom and the students love it!

Cons

This product is very easy to use, my only issue is when students forget earbuds.

### "Stay away from this app. Trust me."

May 15, 2025

1.0

Pros

I did not like anything about Iready. Its just a horrid "learning" app that no one should use.

Cons

This is coming from a student who has used iready for a while now. To put it simply, it sucks. The lessons they do are either too easy for frustratingly confusing. That is all I have to say for iready. Good day.

### "I-Ready Readers"

June 16, 2025

5.0

My overall experience is both of my kids use it and I think it is a valuable learning tool for the school system so I would say overall we have had a great experience with it.

Pros

My Children both are users of i-Ready, i help them with their schoolwork on there and honestly, i really think it's amazing that helps the teachers understand what exactly the student needs help with or needs to focus on.

Cons

The least favorite thing I can say to me, is I don't like how it only teaches your child one way to do a problem, there should be more than one way in case there is some confusion on the other way.

### "i-Ready is the perfect tool for school and home"

March 5, 2025

5.0

Overall i-Ready as a tool that is extremely useful for any parent with a child in school. It's especially nice that it can be used at school and also at home.

Pros

We use i-Ready several times a week. It is a great way to keep my grandchild interested and excited about her schooling. Having access to other programs within i-Ready provides her with the ability to get ahead while having since fun at the same time.

Cons

I would like it if there were more reports geared for the parents to review. Sometimes I would feel a bit list as to where she was or was not supposed to be and would have to follow up with the teacher for clarification.

### "Iready sucks"

December 10, 2024

1.0

i-Ready is awful. The lessons are boring, the tests are torture, and it's glitchy. It's not just bad; it's a soul-crushing, anxiety-inducing mess that makes learning miserable. It's a total waste of time.

Pros

Nothing. Iready is the worst program ever

Cons

Iready is the worst math program ever. It is buggy.

### "Don’t frustrate yourself or students with i-ready "

October 4, 2022

3.0

My students hate the program as do my co workers and myself. The minimal growth the students show at the end of the year are solely based on teacher lead instruction and not time spent in this program. I would not recommend

Pros

It can be done on the computer, chromebooks, or tablet

Cons

It is boring, repetitive, overkill with excessive requirements of both time on tasks and accuracy. We don’t use ready math. We use eureka so I don’t know why we chose iready as a district. They don’t work well together

Reason for choosing i-Ready

I didn’t. I have no idea why the district office chose this program. Someone fooled them. They evidently didn’t read the online reviews or watch the you tube videos dedicated to throwing shade at this terrible program

### "Is I-Ready right for your students? "

June 1, 2021

4.0

When used properly, this program is a great tool to serve alongside content. I love that I can individually assign lessons to kids struggling with certain topics.

Pros

I-Ready is definitely user friendly for students as well as educators. As an educator, I love that the program differentiates content level on an individual basis. I teach middle school and it’s important for my students to all use a program that “looks” the same. They are at the age where fitting in is super important. Implementation of the program for my students was also easy! My school actually built in time during that school just for this program! The impact (if students use it correctly) can be astounding. For example, I had a student placed on the 4th grade level after her first diagnostic. By the end of the year, she was working on 7th grade. I-Ready helped her improve 3 grade levels in a year! It really can be a wonderful tool!

Cons

As with anything, there are cons. One con is that my students see the cartoon tutorials as “babyish.” Often times, they don’t want to listen to the tutorials because of the cartoons. Maybe switching up the graphics would help with that aspect. Another con that I’m not sure can be addressed on I-Ready’s end is that some kids choose to score lower on the diagnostic on purpose just to receive lower grade level work so as not to have to work so hard during the year. Some kids work harder at not worker than if they would actually just do it on their ability level. A third con is that games on I-Ready can be accessed whenever. I think games need to be rewards only for time spent or lessons passed on I-Ready.

### "I-Ready = Academic Video Game"

May 27, 2022

4.0

My students use both iready reading and math 50 min each, weekly. We do 10 min a day for both. They take the diagnostics in each category once for every 4 quarters of the school year. It is basically academic video games, but gives great reports. It also lets me assign specific lessons to specific students and I can move a student to the correct level of I believe a diagnostic was inaccurate.

Pros

I like that it makes reports for my students' test scores, as well as their daily lessons. The reports have options for more in depth data, including what standards they've mastered and which they're struggling with.

Cons

There is definitely a learning curve for pulling data and it can be tricky to navigate the reports, even after using it for a while. Also, I believe the diagnostics are very long and give a slightly inaccurate, though in depth picture, of student academic status. I believe the diagnostics are skewed by impedance of the length affecting student attention span.

### "Ready to learn with i-Ready"

August 22, 2021

5.0

Overall, i-Ready provides differentiated instruction to students in reading and math at their level and allows them to go at their own pace. If there is an area that is not improving the lessons are shut off so the teacher can reteach that lesson. It also provides standard mastery units for tracking student progress and giving teachers tools to use for lessons.

Pros

I-Ready is a great learning platform for students K-12 that differentiates instruction and provides diagnostic assessments and progress monitoring tools for reading and math.

Cons

The features that could be improved are the data points provided to educators, administrators, and families. It is heavy on providing numbers but not specific information about each student. If there was a way to get a reading level for students where the teacher actually interacts with the student that would be beneficial.

### "Wonderful application for data management"

August 29, 2021

5.0

Pros

I love the way student data is broke down after the diagnostic is taken. I teach ELA and I am able to view several useful reports. The results of each student are broken down to show me what is mastered and what gaps remain. I am then able to use personalized lessons for each student to help them reach grade level on standards they have not yet mastered. Iready even groups my student according to needs so that I can place them in small groups in my classroom.

Cons

I love this software. It is difficult to pinpoint a need with this program. It really is user friendly and beats for data driven instruction.

### "Would NOT Recommend."

February 28, 2024

1.0

TERRIBLE!!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! PLEASE DONT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!

Pros

Nothing, actually trash. Would not recommend unless you want your kid to have a seizure.

Cons

It takes so long to do one lesson and you lose your progress if you don't save it. My kid has cried \*so many\* times doing iReady. He also started throwing up when he saw the ugly characters. 1/5!!!

### "I-Ready for Middle School "

June 1, 2021

3.0

I think this program is beneficial for middle school is used in conjunction with a variety of other tools. Middle school students start to not enjoy the process of Iready if it is used too much or not strategically.

Pros

The product is overall very easy to use for both students and teachers. The diagnostic seems to accurate. And I like that is flags the results if it appears the student is rushing. Teachers can use the information provided to differentiate from instruction.

Cons

The software doesn’t tell the correct answer, so students don’t know what they did incorrectly in order to best improve . Sometimes, the question itself and/ or format of the questions is very confusing. The program can be monotonous. I wish there were different characters, voices, backgrounds, fonts, etc to break it up some.

### "Bad"

October 2, 2023

1.0

Pros

NOTHING. IT IS SO BAD, AND NOBODY LIKES IT. Only games are decent.

Cons

from what I've heard, many students find it to be a tedious and unengaging program. It's no fun to spend hours staring at a computer screen, especially when the content isn't particularly interesting.

### "The best intervention/assessment option out there"

August 11, 2021

5.0

Pros

I love that this software is so versatile. I’m not only able to test students in Language Arts and Mathematics to see if they are at grade level or not but can also have the system group up students of similar need with regards to specific learning standards in order to do small group instruction. The reports, data and options are so diverse and entirely helpful as an educator during report card time, conferences and interventions necessary within the school year.

Cons

There is nothing that I dislike about this software.

### "iReady has been here long enough to listen to teachers and meet their needs to serve all students"

July 25, 2021

5.0

My experience has been great with iReady. Our large district rarely keeps a program as long as we have this one and I have seen ever improvement imaginable made to not only meet the needs but to benefit the students and teachers.

Pros

I love the amount of progress data can be collected and is broken down into domains by the program. I can easily identify the stumbling stones of my students and it suggests what they need. I can assign specific content lessons and the students can work at their individual level/pace. The badges offered for log-in has been particularly helpful for students with disabilities. Actually, our district uses the badges for students to sign in to their Chromebooks with. The lessons provide multiple examples and build slowly with quizzes separate from the lesson.

Cons

I wish the lesson videos were capable of going back and forth easily to help review.

### "Helpful for teaching standards "

January 26, 2022

5.0

We have used it for years at my site and have thought highly of it.

Pros

Great idea to start off with a diagnostic test in both reading and math. It determines where the kids are at in many standards.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to skip the opening video.

### "I ready review"

August 12, 2020

3.0

I think overall, it has been a good way to screen children on their knowledge and what they need to work on.

Pros

I like the fact that as children are taking assessments, depending on their progress, they give “brain breaks”.

Cons

I think some of the material is too easy for certain grade levels in Math. However, the reading portion can be a little difficult.
