Pros

  • Incident management tools are fantastic, The on-call alerting helps us reliably ensure that alerts are actioned perfectly without delay.

  • Overall the experience with this new system have been very positive. The support received from the team at iLert has been excellent.

  • Overall it has been great experience. We are using it and found it so useful for on call support and continue to use it.

  • Ilert filled in this gap perfectly as it had all the desired options especially setting up a schedule for our on call roster.

Cons

  • First I user iLert in Telekommunikation branch of the Company , now I working in the IT department and we are using the System for alerting if parts of the Infrastruktur fails.

  • When alert message comes, no incident# in that! that is major problem. To know that I need to login to the tool.

  • Mobile sms are horrible, it takes about 1 hour or more to deliver a notification about the ilert.

  • Being on call duty is a no-brainer now. As long as my phone is on, I'll get alerted.

"Perfect monitoring for our business"

Overall: Very pleased with the migration, set up for all heartbeat monitors and creation of status pages for our customers with iLert, which are critical to us delivering services and supporting customers.

Pros: A lot of our systems are hardened services which cannot be monitored through HTTP requests, therefore we rely heavily on heartbeat monitoring which works flawlessly in iLert. All of our services are set up with regular intervals to check-in, and we're notified immediately if there's ever an issue

Cons: Everything works as expected and nothing that I would class as a negative for the product - the only minor improvement I would make is to create an alert action template (as I tend to have to create the same alerts when creating a new heartbeat check), though I'm sure there's a technical reason for that - and the process is very straight forward.

Reasons for Switching to iLert: iLert better suited the services we required with integration to all of our existing systems.

"ilert in our MSP"

Pros: Incident management tools are fantastic, The on-call alerting helps us reliably ensure that alerts are actioned perfectly without delay.

Cons: At first the integrations where not all there but they have since developed a lot more to help us and upon request make it even easier.

"Most important features of ilert are end of life "

Pros: Online monitoring &Realtime notifications of

Cons: When we start using Ilert we based our decision on the features uptime monitoring and alerting. Exactly these features are cancelled by Ilert within the next year. So i am not very positive when i consider that within approx 2 years of our start with Ilert we need to choose another supplier and redesign our processes

"iLert - Powerful tool to level up your support easily"

Pros: Introducing iLert into existing Tooling around Monitoring was very easy. We needed no adaption at all, our systems could be connected to any needed system quite easily. Moreover we searched and found our On-Duty scheduling options in iLert: Easy, flexible & straight forward.

Cons: Hardly anything I could think of besides the richness of features - which was not really an issue for us as iLert provides everything we need and more.

Alternatives Considered: OpsGenie and PagerDuty
Switched From: OpsGenie and Twilio
Reasons for Switching to iLert: The prices of OpsGenie went absurd & we were able to replace our phonenumber provider and could improve our service towards our clients. So we killed two or three birds with one stone by going with iLert & never looked back.

"iLert Supports continuity of business critical data deliveries"

Overall: Good product. Easy to use and of added value when there are strict SLA's

Pros: Nice tool to support continuity of business critical data deliveries and avoid SLA breaches

"Ilert Review after 9-12months Usage"

Pros: Automated Phone Call - (Customizable Initial Call Delay) Simple Interface with Less clutter

"No complaints"

Overall: Fantastic, had an issue near the start with getting it to sync with a program we use but after reaching out to the support team got it fixed that same day.

Pros: It does everything it says it would and makes it all very simple and easy to give to a new hire without confusion. Keep everything in line great and works wonders for our on call rotation.

Cons: Not enough frogs, only members will understand.

"Feature options help a lot"

Overall: Currently iLert has been a great help at quickly responding to issues with my clients sites even when our own internal monitoring tools are delayed.

Pros: Notifications coming from AWS as well as our internal monitoring systems

Cons: We could not find a connection option to HubSpot.

"excellent Alerting system"

"Relativ zuverlässige Alamierung"

Overall: Wir haben das Produkt noch nicht lange in Benutzung. Bisher aber gut.

Pros: Sehr schnelle Benachrichtigung Benachrichtigung über viele verschiedene Wege (sms Whatsapp etc...)

Cons: Es werden nicht alle Alarme sauber übertragen. es fehlt immer mal eine Meldung egal welche Übermittlungs Art

Overall: Great experience overall.

Pros: H24 7x7 Service AvailabilityIntegration with other Monitoring Systems like Paessler PRTGGreat iOS and Android Mobile Applications

Cons: Set other lagnages speaks (for example Italian) to the welcome standard voices and relative customization of the messages.

"Overall, a good product"

Overall: The timely notification of PRTG events sent to my mobile devices is a great benefit.

Pros: iLert is used to send PRTG events via email. I use the iLert mobile app for near real-time notifications, which is also perfect for notifications on an Apple Watch.

Cons: So far, no negative aspects or missing features have been identified that need to be addressed.

"iLert is without alternative in on-time notifications"

Overall: From installation until today iLert worked without any problems. Particularly the coecistence with Nagios XI works flawlessly

Pros: In iLert it is easy to handle, creating escalation chains, so that every notification reaches the perfect team on time.

Cons: Actually there is nothing to criticize. iLert delivers exactly what I need for supporting our customers.

"Great tool to check on the servers for a startup that might otherwise not notice"

Overall: I've only used it a little to set up alerts to know if the servers we are using are down. I'm sure I will use more features in future.

"Nice cheap clean Alert programm"

Overall: Nice and automatic and great fast responding support

Pros: The surfaces or dashboard are very clean and tidy so everything is clear to use and you get want you very fast

Cons: not so much. Sometime whne using the App, the alarms in the push notification is not the same as the last one sned in the app

"Gutes Produkt, schnell integriert"

Pros: Wir haben uns für Ilert entschieden, da die Integration in bestehende Alarmierungen über den Versand von Mails sehr einfach ist. Die Multi-Chanel Alarmierung über Anruf, Mail oder WhatsApp hat uns überzeugt. Der erste Prozess war nach 10 Minuten eingerichtet und funktionsfähig.

Cons: Wie immer sind für ein mittelständisches Unternehmen wie uns die Zahlungsmethoden (nicht auf Rechnung) und die Datenschutzbestimmungen die größte Hürde. Funktional keine Beschwerden.

"Chosen as a new paging system for On Call Teams"

Overall: Overall the experience with this new system have been very positive. The support received from the team at iLert has been excellent. Very helpful and quick to respond.We were looking to replace our paging system, and have found iLert to be able to handle our requirements and provide more options for proactive monitoring being fed into On Call Teams.

Pros: Very easy to schedule different teams. Tailored towards incident management, rather than just being a generic paging system.Clear and easy app for users to view their calendar and to make short notice swaps within the team.Additional monitors that can feed into the on call team, not solely used for customer support requests. Enables proactive monitoring to be addressed in real time for non critical systems as well.

Cons: All options from the top level subscription should be available as Add On services like the Uptime Monitors.We do not need to move to the higher subscription for its core features, but would like to utilise the additional functionality. EG Status Pages

Switched From: On Page
Reasons for Switching to iLert: We needed more users to create additional teams, and were investigating whether there was a more cost effective and easier to manage system.We needed flexibility for users to be part of more than one team which the current system wasn't able to provide easily.

"Good pager app"

Pros: Easy to implement with webhooks and easy to use. Good Android app with push messages.

Cons: I have not found a feature which I don't like so far.

"A solid product for on-call duty"

Overall: Its a good product that fits our use case of different teams monitoring different services, where each services are also living under different environments. This requires a complex level of customization of notifications & alerts, and ilert works perfectly.

Pros: - Integration with monitoring software like Zabbix, and supporting their latest releases very quickly. - Separate API per environment allows more flexible grouping. - Clean escalation policies with step-by-step configuration. - On-Call scheduling shown in visually colorful way. - A wonderful reporting tool to view past alerts/notifications and generate regular reports.

Cons: - Editing on-call scheduling requires to figure out interaction (where to click, what to add etc.). A help/guide inside the software would be helpful. - Removing an on-call person from a period in between schedule, changes the whole schedule up for everyone next in queue, hence needs to do adjustments for all the next on-callers.

Alternatives Considered: OpsGenie and Splunk On-Call
Reasons for Choosing iLert: Way more direct support from ilert team in helping setup ilert across the infrastructure. It was a better fit with the organization structure.
Switched From: Splunk On-Call
Reasons for Switching to iLert: VictorOps got broken after Zabbix changes their internal alerting in their new 4.4 version, and even though they manage to fix it after opening a support ticket, a lot of time was spend waiting for upgrade to be pushed to production. During this time, ilert (and other products) were also tested as possible replacement.

Pros: The terraform provider letting us code our on-call infrasture service

Cons: The UI for the calendar / on-shift schedules

"iLert - Simple and powerful"

Overall: With iLert all our critical incidents are addressed with less responsive time. the notification features from iLert are aswesome

Pros: I like schedule layers, multiple responders, status pages, and uptime monitors

Cons: Can have more features in status pages and overall all the feature are cool
