They have great customer service, pricing has been fair, and I love the simplicity and beauty of their newsletter templates. Pros I've been with Flodesk since its start. It's been great to watch it grow and even more exciting for my business as they've added updates, making it increasingly easier to create beautiful, professional-looking newsletters without the stress of needing to be super tech-savvy. Cons I've heard complaints about it lacking certain aspects for e-commerce, testing, segmentation, automated workflows, and such, but at this time, I'm not using many of these features, or I'm just beginning to dabble in them for my business. Email Concierge Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great, but needs development" August 30, 2024 3.0 Great on the surface, definitely beats mailchimp in simplicity and getting the job done BUT once you start using it, you find that some functionalities are either missing or not good enough. Pros The minimalist design is spot on - it really is unique. The fact that they charge a flat fee regardless of # of subscribers is also rare for the USPs. Overall I like their simple approach to the software and email sending and that it's easy to figure out how it works. Cons It's very much still a tool in development. A lot of technical functionalities are not yet in place or are not fully developed, such as AB testing, dynamic content, advanced and custom segmentation, and overall ability to make it more your own. They have a big community and lots of requests for new features that they are actively working on (which is great to see) but sometimes, as an email marketer, I find the functionalities lacking and wouldn't recommend the tool for someone with complex needs and audiences. Since then, FD has regularly been improving their service and features and I could not be more pleased. I was also locked into the unlimited everything plan at 50% off, making it the absolute best value around. Pros I love the incredible pricing! The fact that you get unlimited emails and subscribers, allows you to grow your audience without having to pay a penny more. Cons That it's apparently difficult to integrate with other email subscriber collecting services, i.e. Slickstream. The emails are sooo pretty, and I like the variety of available forms. Cons I would love to personalize the image placeholders a bit more. I don’t love all the template options available and sometimes want to do more than simply adding the image as is.
