The software makes it incredibly easy to set up one-off newsletters, automated workflows, and forms. Their ecommerce option is also the most intuitive I've encountered online and makes setting up landing pages and checkouts a breeze. And whenever I get stuck on how to achieve something I have in mind, all I need to do is peruse their incredibly robust help center to find a detailed explanation. In the rare event that I can't find what I'm looking for in their help articles, their support team is so quick to reply and incredibly patient in answering every question I've ever asked. Pros After working in SaaS for more than 7 years, I've seen a lot of software. And when it came time to choose what I would use for my own tech stack when starting my business, I did extensive research on email marketing platforms to see what was out there. I was instantly drawn to Flodesk for how intuitive their UI was and how design-forward their email builder was. I didn't need highly complex automations in the beginning but still needed something robust enough that could grow with me as my needs expanded, and Flodesk checked all of those boxes. Cons Two years ago, I felt that the functionality of Flodesk was a bit limited compared to competitors. But what I quickly realized was that this company builds out their product with their users at the center of the entire development process. I was so impressed by their public roadmap and the ability for users to add feature requests and vote for others' requests. And the product team actually selects most of their projects from those user requests! As a result, the features of Flodesk have grown considerably over a short period of time, and the product just continues to improve. Even when my websotr platform or payment processor or course platform has come with email servoces included it hasn't even crossed my mine to cancel and switch because it's served me so well and even grown with my business in ways it can function and help me. The pricing was affordable and unlimited at the time, so it was a no-brainer. What really makes them stand out is their customer support. You actually get to talk to a real person who takes the time to understand your question, helps you out, and even follows up if you’re still having issues. I’ve been really happy with their service and plan to stick with them. Cons The lack of templates. The ones they have are beautiful, but they feel a bit stiff with very limited customization. Flodesk is the only reason I send out any kind of newsletter. It makes the lift of doing so so much lighter. If I had to create my own templates or otherwise design my emails from scratch, I think I just wouldn't do it. Flodesk motivates me to do email marketing when I likely would skip it entirely otherwise. Pros The drag and drop design makes creating eye-catching and "pleasing to read" emails so easy! I actually have a lot of fun putting together my newsletter emails simply because Flodesk makes the designing of them so intuitive. Cons Sizing images within some templates can be finicky sometimes. But generally, I follow the same template for each newsletter email, so having to deal with this isn't super frequent for me. February 27, 2026 5.0 I was using MailChimp for years. Love the celebratory chimp gif when I was ready to publish. I found that designing customizing, even finding someone to quickly answer my questions was frustrating. Somehow I got introduced to Flodesk and checked it out. Since I'd been using MailChimp for so long I was reluctant to transfer everything over. However, when I did I wondered why I didn't switch earlier! \[sensitive content hidden\] , in the FaceBook group is always ready to assist (SO QUICKLY) with questions and support. I was working on connecting a client’s DNS records and, listen… I am the tech person. This is literally my lane. So when things weren’t connecting, I was like, “Cool cool cool, love this for me." Enter Flodesk Support. If you’ve ever had to deal with support teams who go full ghost or send you copy-paste nonsense, this was the complete opposite. Flodesk? 12/10 experience. Would absolutely recommend. Pros They replied fast, were actually friendly (rare), and didn’t treat me like I was out here trying to plug a toaster into the cloud. They even checked back in on their own to make sure everything was working after the fix. Cons Absolutely nothing to dislike. They were quick, friendly, and proactive. I have been with them since the beginning, and the price was another big factor. Cons I don't have anything negative to say, but the only beef I have is that there is no way to find out who the unsent emails are without manually going through the whole list. Founder E-Learning Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Really brilliant, easy to use newsletter/form software" October 30, 2025 5.0 It was incredibly easy to use from the outset - easy to brand, simple to create clean sections that look great, and easy to organise newsletters. I really like the form / email flow functionality too, including how it's presented. Pricing based on functionality rather than audience size also felt a lot less punitive than MailChimp (which I used for almost 10 years before finally migrating, as costs were spiralling and I found myself archiving contacts to remain under the 10k audience threshold) - much better value for money (although I believe this pricing structure is soon changing). In addition, customer service has been phenomenal from the get-go, which really helped me to quickly get started after migrating from MailChimp. Pros Ease of use, ability to easily create visually appealing mail-outs and forms, pricing structure not based on audience size, and great customer service. Cons Lack of integration with Thinkific (which we've solved using Zapier). It would also be nice if we could group content blocks and duplicate them across different newsletters (rather than having to save, then individually paste across (e.g.) heading, image, text, CTA). Minor point though. May 19, 2025 5.0 I really do love using Flodesk and it has worked seemlessly for my small business. I like the ability to segment my audience into many different groups so I can target my emails to them specifically. The few times I needed support I received it in a timely manner which is very important for me. Pros I love the interface of Flodesk. Not only is it easy to use, and personalize, but it looks so nice. I also love how I pay one price for as many emails and audience members that I have. No more worrying about going over my limit or being charged more for having more emails. Cons Flodesk hasn't updated their own templates in a while. However, they have made it easier to format and design your own, share with a friend, or even sell and make money on the side. But still, sometimes you need some inspiration and new templates from Flodesk, would be helpful. Also, to resend your email to those unopened, you have to wait a few days (at least at the time of this writting) but sometimes time is of essence and it would be great to resend to unopened sooner. While I loved Mailchimp's designs and interface, having email tiers became expensive.
