July 19, 2021 5.0 Denticalc software has brought about a considerable improvement in my approach to patient education and treatment methodology. There is a limit to which a patient can stretch their imagination, but with the help of Denticalc software they can see and understand different treatment plans and choose the best suited for them. I am happy and looking forward for more updates and features just like people eagerly waiting for the next iOS update. Pros The features which i like the most about this software is it user interface which helps the patients , better understand and decide on the final treatment. The software shows three dimensional videos of the treatment planned to be executed , pre and post operative pictures and the most important the treatment planning based on specific cases. The user interface is easy to understand both for doctors and for the assistant. This software has a leading edge from its peers by incorporating multiple treatment plans for all the specialities like implantology, oral surgery, periodontics and endodontics. Cons The one problem I face using the software is the "DID YOU KNOW" fact and difficulty in reaching the photos videos and the smart treatment plan. Therefore it is very detailled and has a broad amount of functions. Great assistant for this group! Also the on-demand videos are very helpful! Pros As a normal user I liked the Smart app within the app the most. This one combines all the features of the several applications and gives you easy to understand feedback, videos and pricing calculations. Cons The several pop-ups regarding the premium subscription and the internal rating which is not related to the Apples AppStore. Consultations will run smoother and patients will be satisfied as they will receive the treatment that is the most suitable for them. It can also help patients to overcome their fear of dental treatments by presenting them with 3D animations. The app is available in a wide range of different languages and very straightforward to use (with full instructions and tutorial on the side). Highly recommend it! Cons This is a subscribed app with no free trial which might put some users off in the beginning as they are not sure what is the advantage of the app over the other ones in the store. October 28, 2020 5.0 Pros The app saved me from a lot of daily hassle I usually encounter with patients regarding how they can't get the big picture and end result of the treatment plan. I cast the app on my dental unit screen and explain the procedures step by step and the cost of each. May also play one or two of the animation videos to explain any procedure if it's completely new to the patient Cons The user interface may be enhanced for better visuals. Especially the intuitive videos, calculator and "smart" features. Coming up with quick cost estimates for procedures and communicating to my patients in an easy to understand way has been a win-win for my practice and my patients. Well worth the money!
