Overall, we had a great experience with CardPointe. We only had to reach out to them a few times and each time they were able to help us out.

Pros

I like that all our parent payments go through this program, and they keep track of their payments and amounts.

Cons

I guess the thing I like least is that it is linked with myKidzDay but separate log in and what not. They both have the payments but Card Pointe has more information on the payments then the app.

### "Cardpointe Poor customer service"

The communication is awful. They keep closing out my tickets without resolve. There is no attempts to communicate with people if they are out of compliance they just keep collecting the money and it is all rolled together in their fees, so you did not realize you are being heavily fined.

Pros

I like that card point is integrated with my online teletherapy platform and I can bill clients with this integrated platform.

Cons

The customer service is very bad and the communication is terrible. I was charged $1000 in fines for the past year for not taking the online compliance annual questionnaire. I was not emailed or notified repeatedly that I needed to update my compliance questionnaire. They sent one notification through my therapy platform. I found out that many other Therapist had fines similar to myself. Also, for the past two years, I have requested they change my business name, and I have submitted multiple proof of legal name change, and they still keep closing out my tickets without the requested legal name change on my 1099 form. I am still attempting to change the name after two years. And they will not release my 1099.

### "They drop the ball when it comes to chargebacks, always side with the card holder, and seem to ignore obvious evidence to the contrary.."

I have to say that it's been a pretty negative experience thus far. Countless cases where the proof is right in front of them, but they side with the customer anyway.

Pros

It is easy to see and understand the chargebacks against your company, and the online app is helpful to identify where to look for further information to plead your case if applicable.

Cons

I would say over 90 percent of our chargebacks are nonsense, and the other 10 are because of card readers glitching or freezing/internet going out mid transaction etc... so when it's obviously not our fault I submit a rebuttal so it is so painfully obvious that the person is just getting their money back after receiving services (usually a carwash membership that they have used for months, and then try to get all of their money back claiming they didn't know it was recurring... even though they used it for months). After given this info, sometimes we will get our money back, only to have the person submit again, then they take our money away again. Even if the person admits to what I've claimed, they usually get to keep the money because cardpointe doesn't feel it was clear enough. They do not seem to be out to help vendors or service providers. The customer almost always gets to walk away with ripping you off, and they do nothing to help.

### "Easy way to have my patients directly pay for services"

I use CardPointe as it is integrated into my EHR software (CounSol.com). I have had no issues with it so far and it feels like a really easy way for clients to pay me and for me to receive funds. I also like that I can't see any of my clients credit card details. Everything is HIPAA and PCI compliant, and not something I have to worry about or have a lot of oversight with.

Pros

I like that this product easily integrates with my EHR platform and is a seamless way to for clients pay for services. I also like that the payment is something that happens outside of the session. My clients and I can just focus on therapeutic goals and then I can charge for sessions later.

Cons

I think the onboarding process was clunky from my perspective, but would probably be the same no matter what software I was using.

### "Worst customer service ever "

Just the worst experience I’ve ever imagined with a Merchant Service credit card processing company. Right now, I would not recommend them at all. They keep asking for me to send them referrals and I have plenty of people. I can send them, but if you can’t take care of me, why am I gonna send you referrals and you holding my money?

Pros

Nothing so far and it is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced., They hold in my money and they keep lying to me saying it’s gonna be in my account and it’s not. They’re not updating my information and each person keeps lying to me that I talk to and they saying it’s gonna be in there Friday Monday and it’s still not in there and it’s been over two weeks and I still have not received my money and my account information and everything has not been updated

Cons

Worst customer service ever. They holding my money and everyone keeps lying to you. One person says it’ll be in there Friday and Monday and then the next person says it was updated correctly and it’s going into this account and the next person says it was not updated and they still have the old account and they keep not fixing the problem and keep closing out my tickets, and it still has not been solved the problem.

the worst credit card processing company you could ever sign for for for your business. they will rob you dry.

they will give you a good rate and a low bill for the first month to lure you in.

high pricing crazy fees high rates pci compliance fees each year they charge an additional $259.99

### "Worst credit card processing I’ve ever dealt with. "

I have Been dealing with them for over three years and they still will not get our account canceled.

Pros

Nothing, it was a headache from the start. I have a business with 10 merchants in it. We have spent hours on the phone and have “canceled” our accounts 3 times now and still getting charged.

Cons

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Terrible customer service, charged me for $69.99 for months after closing my account and after disputing it and getting a “partial” refund, a year later we’re getting charged again. We haven’t used thier system in 3 years. I don’t know how they’re still in business.

Pros

Nothing. This system was forced upon us by our CRM (Landscape Management Network) and we were required to use them.

Cons

They wouldn't allow me to set up e-check as a payment method despite this being a payment method offered in our CRM (Landscape Management Network). No supervisors to assist and really subpar customer service reps.

### "A Great Entry into Credit Card Processing"

Overall it worked. Towards the end of our cardpointe usage, we began to experience a significant amount of fraud transaction attempts on our portal provided by cardpointe. After contacting them, they informed us that there was not much that they can do.

Overall Cardpointe was very simple to setup, and functioned well over the course of the 2 years we had it.

Cons

The interface was kind of clunky and vague and it was easy to get lost within the software.

Horrible. Will never go back. Fees are high.

Pros

Easy to use. Simple. I don't like much more than that.

Cons

When you cancel out, they will continue to charge you, you can't get in touch with anyone. Four months after canceling they are still charging me fees ie. non-compliance fees, bumping up the prices for terminal fees AFTER they told us to send the terminals to electronic recycling etc. etc. etc.

### "Piss poor customer service"

While attempting to retrieve my Monthly Statement, my password failed, for no apparent reason. So I hit "Forgot Password" and the system responded that they had sent an email. After waiting 30-40minutes and getting no email with the promised link to reset my password, I called 'support' line. After explaining the situation to the tech, their suggestion was 'just wait a bit longer, there may be server issues'. That's about the sorriest excuse for a support suggestion as I've ever heard. Needless to say, I hung up in disgust and began searching for another provider. And GOD HELP CARDPOINTE if they try to force an early cancellation fee.

When you add up all of the fees between credit cards and CardPointe fees, the total price per transaction is higher than I would like.
