Pros

  • These people are dedicated to making this product better and better. I always feel like HealthSherpa is their prime objective, their main business.

  • HealthSherpa has great support and the platform is organized and user friendly. I have had an excellent experience.

  • Everything is perfect, down to the type-style. The chat is so easy and responsive that it feels like the person it right there helping me through it at all times.

  • It's a simple user interface, it has the perfect color scheme, and it's designed in a way that makes you feel at ease. I like the was it's designed; with the tools out of the way but not out of reach.

Cons

  • It times out after 1 hour and is a little difficult for the agent to get back to.

  • I often get errors when transferring from the Marketplace to Health Sherpa especially after I have updated a current year plan.

  • Connection with the MarketPlace is sometimes abruptly interrupted.

  • The site does seem to lag at times and the client list could use some updates, as well.

"Sherpa"

Pros: Puts everyone in an easy format to keep track of. You don't have to log into healthcare.gov to see some info that you have entered to answer questions when they call. Make it easy to send out emails and keep track of accounts.

Cons: system does not allow creating groups in the same applications like it does on healthcare.gov. So I only use it when I have a single person on the policy. If I have a family I will use Healthcare.gov so I have more flexibility for my clients needs to move one to a different plan than the others if we wish to. Plus on the good side it helps with the comp to the agent in this slim margin environment format we have now.

"If you are not using Healthsherpa it's costing you money"

Overall: it's been the best thing for my business to keep track of my customers

Pros: The fact it is so user friendly and the ability that my customers can access their account by registering to save you time from questions they might have. also, HealthSherpa is always trying to make it easier for us to do our job. when you have a large book of business that is appreciated.

Cons: the quoting tool could be a little better but I know that they have to abide by the federal regulations and that they have other options for customers that don't qualify for a tax credit..

Reasons for Switching to HealthSherpa: I saw it by a friend how well it did for him and his business

"very expensive "

"Best Marketplace "Right Hand Man""

Overall: Each year I have appreciated the HealthSherpa updates. These people are dedicated to making this product better and better. I always feel like HealthSherpa is their prime objective, their main business .... not some side business an insurance broker came up with. Good JOB! You worked hard, even employing "extra" customer service reps during OEP. Thank you for that! Every experience was positive, kind and helpful. I look forward to next OEP as long as I have you guys as my "right hand man"!

Pros: Organization & information access is prime importance. Before HealthSherpa, I had to spend so much time scrolling through files. HealthSherpa keeps all the pertinent information in one location. Also, moving a new client to HealthSherpa was very easy and seamless this year! That was a bonus!

Cons: I would like to see a printable permission form that can be automatically emailed to the client in the batch renewal emailings. Also, during the LAST WEEK of OEP, there needs to be 24 hr chat/phone availability. Even if there is a cost for that service, I would be happy to pay.

"Using Health Sherpa during Open Enrollment"

Overall: Overall I love using Health Sherpa in my day to day business. Not only is it easy for me to use, but when emailing quotes to a client it is easy for them to understand and enroll as well.

Pros: I love that it is easy to use. No longer have to port to healthcare.gov to update clients information. Client payments can be made for most carriers right though Health Sherpa. Can check the status of clients applications and upload any needed documents.

Cons: It isn't always easy to get ahold of support. Sometimes there are errors when submitting a clients application, which causes you to have to port to healthcare.gov to get it done.

"Streamlined, Efficient Enrollments"

Overall: In general it is much more user-friendly and efficient for completing enrollments yourself or sending a link to a client to complete an enrollment.

Pros: Health Sherpa allows you to complete most Marketplace enrollments in a much more simple and user-friendly way than healthcare dot gov. You can email selected quotes to prospects and clients. It stores key data for your leads and enrollees for easy access in the future. You can use their platform to upload required documentation when necessary.

Cons: There are honestly no huge problems. You won't be able to use it for off-Marketplace plans.

"Health Sherpa At It's Best"

Overall: Anything that I can do on the Market Place is done much faster on Health Sherpa. Connecting and syncing with the Market Place is record speed by way of Health Sherpa rather than going directly to the Market Place.

Pros: Health Sherpa is user friendly. Just follow the prompts exactly as it states and you will reach your ultimate destination.

Cons: On occasion I may have to read the command twice before I understand the task I can at hand.

"HealthSherpa is Fantastic!"

Pros: I used another software for 5 years prior to changing to HealthSherpa. I had continual glitches (wrong subsidy amounts, applications not going through to Healthcare.gov, crashing) w/the other software at the beginning of every open enrollment period. There have not been any glitches w/HealthSherpa ever. There are all of the functions that an agent needs to enroll, update and submit documents.

Cons: I havent' found anything to dislike about HealthSherpa in the 1+ years that I have used it.

Reasons for Switching to HealthSherpa: I switched because I was tired of running into functional glitches every annual enrollment.

"I LOVE HEALTH SHERPA!"

Overall: I WAS ONE OF FIRST BROKERS TO JOIN BACK IN 2013??? THIS SOFTWARE IS AMAZING AND ITS FEATURES HAVE SAVED SO MUCH TIME FOR ME THAT IT HAS BEEN A FACTOR IN MY SUCCESS FOR RETAINING AND ADDING NEW CUSTOMERS OVER THE PAST 8 YEARS MARKETING MKTPLC PLANS.

Pros: COMPREHENSIVE SOURCE FOR CLIENT INFORMATION. ABILITY TO INTERACT DIRECTLY WITH MARKETPLACE AND INSURANCE CARRIERS. COMPREHENSIVE HISTORY OF CLIENT ENROLLMENTS

Cons: I HAVE NOTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY. AM VERY PLEASED.

"Health Sherpa has made enrollments easy now for the Marketplace"

Overall: No problems after the new updates. Never have an issue now with enrollments. Last year, it was hit or miss if I could complete an app online thru health Sherpa

Pros: Easy to find existing applications, love to tool you can now send people to self-enroll. Love the layout of each carrier with benefits.

Cons: Sometimes it’s difficult getting a problem fixed with Sherpa Live Support within Health Sherpa portal. It can take a few minutes to reach someone

Reasons for Switching to HealthSherpa: Doing enrollments thru Health Sherpa as opposed to healthcare dot gov is night & day. No comparison.

"Easy To Use and FREE"

Overall: I enjoy using HealthSherpa. It's definitely worth the price.

Pros: I like that HealthSherpa is free to use and allows agents access to Marketplace applications without logging into their accounts.

Cons: The site does seem to lag at times and the client list could use some updates, as well.

"Flexibility"

Overall: Great

"Great Platform"

Overall: HealthSherpa is a great partner to save time and help to provide clients with the high level of customer service that I expect to give.

Pros: Cost Effective, Easy to track/update carrier appointments, Easy to track clients, Doctor search function is a huge time saver.

Cons: After two years of using this platform, I have not found anything that I do not like.

"Simply Better"

Overall: HealthSherpa has great support and the platform is organized and user friendly. I have had an excellent experience.

Pros: What I liked most about this software is how much time I save helping individuals find the right policy. I am able to help many more individuals find the right plan in half the time it would normally take.

Cons: I haven't experienced any cons yet. This platform is put together well.

Reasons for Switching to HealthSherpa: The other platform is much more time consuming.

"Easy to Use"

Overall: Overall the experience was a great one. Made me a lot of money, I will continue to use it and will recommend it!

Pros: The software is EXTREMELY easy to use and makes getting an accurate quote a breeze. This allows the agent to build great repore with the client which equals more sales that will stick.

Cons: It times out after 1 hour and is a little difficult for the agent to get back to.

"HealthSherpa Experience"

Overall: Excellent. Nice to have a Sales/CRM tool that I don't have to spend money on. Everybody wins!

Pros: The automated processes that save me from the more cumbersome experience of dealing with healthcare.gov. Also, the ability to organized my book of business and have up to date information on all of my clients.

Cons: Some newer features are a bit rough, but they make frequent updates and smooth them out very quickly.

"Great Tool"

Pros: Ease of use No need for our clients to have a Healthcare.gov Account

"Great Helper"

Overall: great experience and please with the navigation for a quick and accurate application

Pros: The product allow us to get in quick in the application with little to none roadblocks, the transition is smooth when having a client on the phone. Also helpful to add my book of business to the line list.

"Much easier to use than Healthcare.gov"

Pros: It's been a huge timesaver not having to walk clients through setting up a username and password on Healthcare.gov! The enrollment portal walks through even the most complex enrollment scenarios. The agent dashboard allows me to see a listing of all my enrolled clients and any outstanding data matching requests needed by the marketplace.

Cons: Printouts of confirmation pages and client information are often times in very small print and the organization on the page can feel cluttered.

"Healthsherpa"

Overall: Very happy with this product. Wish I would have found it years ago. Customer service is unbelievably good.

Pros: The ability to quote, enroll and service customers without having to login to Healthcare.gov. Much more streamlined and efficient application process then the .gov website. Ability to enroll customers much quicker...around 4 times faster.

Cons: While this product does a great job it would be nice to see a cleaner printed application and quotes to share with the customer.

"It's all in one place!"

Overall: It's keeping track of all my contracts in multiple States along with all my customer data. It makes this time of year easier to manage.

Pros: The website is keeps things simple! At such a busy time over here this is very important. It consolidates all my carriers in one place and seamlessly connects to healthcare.gov. I don't know if I could do ACA without such a platform.

Cons: That there's no support in the evenings during open enrollment.
