I use HealthSherpa daily to quote and enroll clients. It truly makes life easier being able to have all these plans in one format instead of having to go to each carrier separately. Clients never seem to have trouble getting in to view the quotes and apply.

Pros

I use this system daily, it makes quoting individuals easier and all the policies are right in front of you. I like all the filters we can put in to find exact plans for certain needs. This site is very user friendly. I do like that you can find just about any information for a certain policy just by clicking on that specific policy.

Cons

Hospitals are very hard to look up, a lot of times it will show they are not covered when really they are. I also do not like that if we have a current client and we quote them for a new policy during open enrollment, that quote does not save in leads. Another thing I do not like is that when clients auto-renewed this year, the current plan terminated in the book of business and I have to go through and manually add them back. I also think doing the AOR process should be allowed year round.

### "Using HealthSherpa for enrollment"

It has been a wonderful experience with HealthSherpa. I have tried other platforms and I still keep coming back to HealthSherpa. Time is money. And with only 45 days to enroll, time is a big factor.

Pros

Using HealthSherpa during open enrollment is time saving, easy to use, consistent, tied in with the Marketplace, and retains all the information. The simplicity of the program is far beyond what you may think. I have used this format for approximately 4 years and it has improved every year. I love the option to send quotes to my customers and they can enroll themselves if they wish and I get the credit.

Cons

I can not think of the "least" I like about the software. It does everything I need to enroll a customer, change a plan, and receive the 1095s at the end of the year.

Pros

This software is great...by entering 30 seconds worth of information, I can view all plans available for my client and give them plan details, pricing, and subsidy information. I love it!

Cons

As mentioned above, at times what is shown on my dashboard is not up to date with what is shown on the marketplace or in a client's individual ACA member portal.

Pros

Puts everyone in an easy format to keep track of. You don't have to log into healthcare.gov to see some info that you have entered to answer questions when they call. Make it easy to send out emails and keep track of accounts.

Cons

system does not allow creating groups in the same applications like it does on healthcare.gov. So I only use it when I have a single person on the policy. If I have a family I will use Healthcare.gov so I have more flexibility for my clients needs to move one to a different plan than the others if we wish to. Plus on the good side it helps with the comp to the agent in this slim margin environment format we have now.

it's been the best thing for my business to keep track of my customers

Pros

The fact it is so user friendly and the ability that my customers can access their account by registering to save you time from questions they might have. also, HealthSherpa is always trying to make it easier for us to do our job. when you have a large book of business that is appreciated.

Cons

the quoting tool could be a little better but I know that they have to abide by the federal regulations and that they have other options for customers that don't qualify for a tax credit..

### "Best Marketplace "Right Hand Man""

Each year I have appreciated the HealthSherpa updates. These people are dedicated to making this product better and better. I always feel like HealthSherpa is their prime objective, their main business .... not some side business an insurance broker came up with. Good JOB! You worked hard, even employing "extra" customer service reps during OEP. Thank you for that! Every experience was positive, kind and helpful. I look forward to next OEP as long as I have you guys as my "right hand man"!

Pros

Organization & information access is prime importance. Before HealthSherpa, I had to spend so much time scrolling through files. HealthSherpa keeps all the pertinent information in one location. Also, moving a new client to HealthSherpa was very easy and seamless this year! That was a bonus!

Cons

I would like to see a printable permission form that can be automatically emailed to the client in the batch renewal emailings. Also, during the LAST WEEK of OEP, there needs to be 24 hr chat/phone availability. Even if there is a cost for that service, I would be happy to pay.

Overall I love using Health Sherpa in my day to day business. Not only is it easy for me to use, but when emailing quotes to a client it is easy for them to understand and enroll as well.

Pros

I love that it is easy to use. No longer have to port to healthcare.gov to update clients information. Client payments can be made for most carriers right though Health Sherpa. Can check the status of clients applications and upload any needed documents.

Cons

It isn't always easy to get ahold of support. Sometimes there are errors when submitting a clients application, which causes you to have to port to healthcare.gov to get it done.

In general it is much more user-friendly and efficient for completing enrollments yourself or sending a link to a client to complete an enrollment.

Pros

Health Sherpa allows you to complete most Marketplace enrollments in a much more simple and user-friendly way than healthcare dot gov. You can email selected quotes to prospects and clients. It stores key data for your leads and enrollees for easy access in the future. You can use their platform to upload required documentation when necessary.

Cons

There are honestly no huge problems. You won't be able to use it for off-Marketplace plans.

Anything that I can do on the Market Place is done much faster on Health Sherpa. Connecting and syncing with the Market Place is record speed by way of Health Sherpa rather than going directly to the Market Place.

Pros

Health Sherpa is user friendly. Just follow the prompts exactly as it states and you will reach your ultimate destination.

Cons

On occasion I may have to read the command twice before I understand the task I can at hand.

Pros

I used another software for 5 years prior to changing to HealthSherpa. I had continual glitches (wrong subsidy amounts, applications not going through to Healthcare.gov, crashing) w/the other software at the beginning of every open enrollment period. There have not been any glitches w/HealthSherpa ever. There are all of the functions that an agent needs to enroll, update and submit documents.

Cons

I havent' found anything to dislike about HealthSherpa in the 1+ years that I have used it.

I WAS ONE OF FIRST BROKERS TO JOIN BACK IN 2013??? THIS SOFTWARE IS AMAZING AND ITS FEATURES HAVE SAVED SO MUCH TIME FOR ME THAT IT HAS BEEN A FACTOR IN MY SUCCESS FOR RETAINING AND ADDING NEW CUSTOMERS OVER THE PAST 8 YEARS MARKETING MKTPLC PLANS.

Sometimes it’s difficult getting a problem fixed with Sherpa Live Support within Health Sherpa portal. It can take a few minutes to reach someone

The Health Sherpa platform is very useful for ACA enrollments and changes. They make the process so easy, enabling agents to help more clients.

Cons

Health Sherpa does not have a mobile app. They do however have a web app.

Cons

Glitches. On many occasions, when you input the yearly income it doesn't take it immediately and says the person doesn't qualify, which is inaccurate.

I love how it easy it makes enrollments. It's a lot more simple than going through a million pages on hc.gov The quoting tool is on point.

Cons

Doing Dec SEPs AND 2022 enrollments during OEP is complicated using sherpa so we have to use the hc.gov redirect for those.

My overall experience is 9.0 to 9.5 there are very few cases that I needed to re-direct to the Healthcare.gov or call the Marketplace to finish it.

Pros

The fact that the questions are simplified and the process is half or 1 third of the time than the Marketplace.

Cons

I think that if the software could have the chat to be movable to other places in the screen not static at the bottom right that would be great.
