PHP Fusion Reviews
"Traditional CMS written in PHP"
Overall: A bit old but simple and fast CMS solution for webpage users who don't have exclusive requests for the system.
Pros: PHP Fusion is project with old history. During the years lots of improvements was published. Provides simple solution to create custom web page CMS. Integrates SEO capabilities. Because of small project size and optimizations the rendering of the pages which is dynamic is really fast.
Cons: PHP Fusion is a bit oldish for me. It is fast and simple but you can find lots of alternatives which are built on modern principles and better layout design.
"Complete CMS for the community site."
Overall: With the use of PHP fusion, a community site that needs lots of effort for each plugin has been addressed easily.
Pros: PHP Fusion has lots of infusions in-built to create the community site in easy steps and the best part is all those infuse are made by the creator. We can get blogs, articles, forums, galleries, polls, news, downloads, weblink and FAQs with just and click. It has multiple login steps to access the administrator which is one of the advantages for the security of the site. Sites created with PHP Fusion are even fast.
Cons: It lacks the number of themes in the marketplace. There are quite a few themes for the latest version. If you are not the developer you need to struggle a lot with the theme. The big footer text makes the site look ugly or you have to buy the license to remove it.
"Lots of nice memories ..."
Overall: I used to use it for simple, fast websites that required e.g. an integrated forum. Currently I don't use it for new pages (only updating one old one).
Pros: Once upon a time, I used PHP-Fusion quite often, today I only maintain one website based on this CMS. The biggest advantage is a lot of ready "out of the box" functionalities. It is a simple system, once popular, but losing importance over time. However, it can still be an interesting option for beginners or less demanding users.
Cons: As for nowadays, its age is slightly visible, it is also limited in terms of functionality and flexibility compared to modern standards.
