The interface is fairly easy to navigate as and admin and really great as a user. There are also many features to uncover and make things easier to manage as a company. Pros I love Vestd for having one source of truth where we can now digitally store all of our documents in one place. The integration with Companies House was a huge selling feature for us as this is a major cost saver as a company and allows you more control over your own filings and ensuring completion. Cons There are some aspects of the upload that are still very manual and I think leave room for improvement. We wanted to use Vestd for company secretarial services and Companies House integration as well as for setting up and administering a share option scheme. Other platforms that we looked at told us they could not help. Vestd deployed its development team to amend the platform to accommodate our needs, without fuss or charging us more. The onboarding, investment and valuation teams (special thanks to \[sensitive content hidden\]) were incredibly responsive and attentive. It was great to work with a SaaS product that is willing and able to update and improve its software in a quick and agile manner and provide such personalised support. Thank you Vestd. Cons Nothing springs to mind at the moment, the platform does what it sets out to do, and provided that Vestd keep adding functionality and refinements, it will be a leader in its field. What has made Vestd such a good choice for us is the very detailed and thoughtful guidance before, during and long after signing up. They have made time and brain available to understand our business, its needs and objectives and given advice on that basis. Never with any pressure or spin. About a year ago I was interviewing someone for a job. She had previously worked in a small company which she'd been in from the get-go. It had sold. I mentioned something about how presumably she'd walked away with some reward from it all. Raw nerve touched. Long story short, the owner had set up EMI shares themselves but hadn't done it correctly. The buyer came in, saw that the shares were incorrectly administered and gave her nothing at all. Moral of the story: if you are going to do this stuff, do it right. Pros Like me, it's simple. It takes what is a potentially horrendously complex process and makes it simple and clear. The interface is very clear - that's both for me on the dashboard and for users who log in. Cons Not a lot to say on this front, nothing springs to mind. Of course, I'm not someone with deep knowledge of share issues so there are better people to ask out there, somewhere... Reason for choosing Vestd Can't remember what the alternatives were called. I was recommended to Vestd by my network of business contacts deriving from Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business course. Basically cohorts of fast growing SMEs. We have a shared resource hub where questions are posted, when people asked in the forum who to speak to about managing shares, share options, etc there were various suggestions made but the one which consistently came out most often and always first choice, was Vestd. The service team is the best I have ever come across. They make the platform a value add rather than just an admin cost. Pros The platform does what it says. It saves maintaining records in an ad hoc manner. More importantly for me is the level of customer service. We can all make mistakes but the service team are second to none in assisting and helping you correct errors etc. I have never dealt with a platform that has such great customer service. For me, the software does the heavy lifting and leaves a very useable, complete and well-documented interface for clients should they wish to bring the management of their newly-created schemes fully inhouse. I get to do what I enjoy most - helping the clients design their schemes and spending more of my paid-time on what interests the client rather than what is interesting to lawyers. If clients wish me to remain manager of the scheme, the software makes that decision very economic for them. Additionally, the Vestd valuation process (for EMIs) is done in person by Vestd very professionally and cost-effectively, reducing the number of plates spinning during a project. Pros It is very easy to follow and its content and output is very high quality. The background material, context and instructions, is very helpful to lay clients as well as a very good ruler for the lawyer to follow. The in-person support is like talking to a knowledgeable and experienced colleague. Cons I don't have any reservations.
