Pros Hi! I love the part as PayPal is integrated with many of the online websites and I don't have to enter my specific credit card/debit card/bank account information. This is the only app I use other than credit card/debit card/bank account information for payments and I would also be able to send/receive payments directly from people. Cons The least I like about this software is the PayPal credit option and my credit card request never gets approved. While using it for personal purposes, I have discovered business solutions of Paypal too. Besides personal account, I can use Paypal as a merchant too in order to sell my products online and accept payments worldwide. I have a small website which I sell my online products. I searched a lot of payment provides and at last found Paypal. The user interface is also super simple which provides extra convenience for users. My most liked feature of Paypal is invoicing feature which makes the payment process easy and error free. Cons The mobile version of Paypal is also user-friendly and intuitive, but it has one insufficiency. I can’t see my Paypal balance in mobile application. I can use all the features of Paypal with mobile application. But the only problem is that I can’t see my balance in the mobile app. I don’t know if this is a country related problem, but I hope it will be solved soon. Again, once you adapt to the time frames required in all the various areas, such as payment processing times, grievance resolutions etc, then it's a fairly painless and comfortable ride. Pros Once settled into the operating functions and locations of the various features of Paypal, it's quite simple to use - with minimal backtracking to locate certain areas. The customer service provided, although sometimes time-consuming, is First Class and thorough. I've never had an issue not solved to my satisfaction. Cons They have a habit of randomly adding 'features' or changes to established procedures that can throw you off until you've taken the time to figure out how and why these have been added in the first place. The fees, although way lower than eBay's, are still overcooked in my opinion. For the number of users that use the program, the fees could seriously be examined and lowered to encourage more of the less fortunate financially-speaking folks to be able to use it. Reason for choosing PayPal I think it was simply the most popular of its time that came with a reasonable reputation. But that was then; starting up an account these days probably would require a lot of KYC (know your customer) requirements to be ticked off at Paypal HQ before being allowed to get going - just something to bare in mind. Simply charging customers and transferring the money to my bank account. It has been the same for 7 years and all of a sudden 72 hour transfer holds turned into a week, and customer service is useless. You won't get any answers and are left to hang in the breeze like it's every day that companies withhold your money from you. MOre than a week's revenue is still being held without any answers being given Pros The PayPal name adds trust to the purchase process. Cons The lack of transparency with what is happening to your money. They can put hold on without a reason why, nobody can help you, and they won't do anything to get you answers or resolve the problem. I would use and recommend PayPal anytime. Pros It’s Free to sign up best of all! Very convenient for my business to accept online payments and even make invoices that helps me keep track of my inventory. I was even able to order a debit card that gave me access to my funds in my PayPal account. There are instant deposit options for such a low and reasonable fee and also free deposit options as well. There are so many security options available to keep your account protected. Cons I would advise that the software is able to detect more information from devices that are trying to login or reset passwords and do any account activity. I feel like that would help in any instance IF there was just this super genius hacker that somehow got in. Like Facebook has it to where they can tell where your account is logged into, the location and the type of phone. Information like that can be helpful in my opinion. I like the money transfer feature, which, unlike any other services, don't charge you any additional fees. Their customer services is very bad! If you are going against your seller (for example, the seller charged you money but never delivered the product), it is almost impossible to prove your point. If the seller sends them the tracking number, paypal automatically assume that info is accurate (though it takes only one click to see that tracking number is associated with a different shipment and different address). Pros \- convenience of paying for goods and services with only one click/login step (you payment information and delivery details usually pop up automatically) - security ( as far as I understand, the seller doesn't see your credit card information) - money transfer (I had to used this feature only once, but it was convenient) - a very easy setup and customization process - it is convenient to have a paypal app on my phone - from a seller perspective, it is a very simple and easy integration of Paypal and Ebay - as a seller< I would also received the payment immediately after the purchase - its a free software Cons \- a VERY poor customer services that is not checking information credibility (and just goes by what they are told); plus contacting them takes extreme efforts - paypal isn't still supported by all merchants Review Source NC Namrata C.
