They fail to protect you " October 19, 2025 1.0 Since February 2024, an app I’ve never heard of has been charging my account repeatedly unauthorized transactions that I never approved. I trusted PayPal to protect my personal and financial information, yet they have failed completely. Despite reporting the issue, PayPal has refused to refund my money and continues to allow the same fraudulent charges to go through. Their so-called “Buyer Protection” means nothing when they don’t actually protect their users. I expected a trusted platform to safeguard my information and take fraud seriously but instead, PayPal has made me feel helpless and unprotected. Their customer service is unresponsive, dismissive, and completely useless. I will never trust PayPal again and strongly urge others to think twice before using them. They clearly do not prioritize customer security or accountability. Pros Nothing, no protection as promised. No Pros. PayPal failed to protect my account, ignored fraud reports, and refused to refund my money. Cons No protection of your personal information or financial account. I enjoy using this product. Pros The invoicing makes it so easy to use and good to keep track of what’s coming in and if there are issues the customer service is super helpful. Pros It's an easy way to transfer money both for work and for personal expenses. It's also convenient because with the transaction history I can keep track of what I spend. I have never contacted customer support because there were never issues with my account. It has been around for decades now, making it a reliable option. I had issues with scamming a few years ago, and I was able to recover my money thanks to PayPal policies, customer service and efficiency. Pros That it's an available method of payment on virtually all online retailers out there. When I buy using PayPal, I feel my credit/debit cards and bank info remain protected. Cons I've had issues adding my PayPal debit card to some wallet services, including Apple Wallet. I also find that you have to click a lot around to get to a section you need. But Still Really Like PayPal" January 13, 2026 4.0 It was the first online payments platform I ever used, all the way back in 2001 when I was in 7th grade. It was revolutionary back then and has still maintained relevance today. I still have my same account 25 years later, and still it works for what I need. Pros Back when I first started using it, online payment platforms weren't that common, but it was THE way to safely use eBay back then. I've continued to use it confidently for online and local purchases, knowing that its buyer/seller protections for best-in-class. Cons After using it for song long, you do notice smaller nit-picky things. Most of them have been resolved over time.
