Pros It is integrated with a lot of the platforms I use and it is super simple and I can programm regular payments. I purchased concert tickets and have paid over time, next month it will be paid off before any interest, so I'm super happy. It's definitely something I can lean on when needed, as well as the fact that I can trust PayPal when needing to purchase items online. Pros I feel secure when paying on sites I've never used before. I'd rather use PayPal than give over my credit card information. Cons I really haven't found anything I dislike about PayPal yet. December 10, 2025 1.0 Terrible!!! They don't care about you and are only looking to make as much money as they can without any customer concern. Pros Ease of use is the only thing that I can say. I have been with them for a lot of years and up to now have been fine Cons They were horrible in dealing with a fraudulent claim. They strung me along for months saying that they were processing a claim. Every time I called they would say the claim was denied, but are reopening a new claim. I have never had an issue with payment and the security of transactions. Pros I like the convenience of Paypal. I like that it is secure and keeps your information safe. It is also easy to use. Cons There wasn't anything specifically that i dislike about Paypal. The payments may take a little while to go through. However that is expected. They have been number one go to for sending and receiving money before Cashapp and Venmo were ever around. I still use PayPal for online sales and big transactions because to me they are the most reliable and easy to access past payments received and sent, very organized. One of my favorite things is being able to send professional invoices to clients. Pros I like how PayPal creates an easy user experience. One click payment makes it my first option for easy checkout. Pros I like the convenience of accessing my payment info from any website, easily and safely. Also the paypal wallet is very useful. The biggest reason we moved on from PayPal is because of the higher cost per transaction compared to its competitors. Pros We could make customized invoices so our customers could pay online. We could also type in payments that we received over the phone. Cons Our cost of each transaction was higher than other products. It takes longer to receive our money than some other products. Pros I like the virtual terminal. It's easy to take payment anywhere without needing extra equipment or attachments. It's also easy to search past transactions. Cons Nothing! I hope this does it. Cons I had to use them to pay for a conference but now I have to create an account to get a receipt using an email. I have 3 emails and none of them show any activity. I tried to sign in again and I have to click on a ton of pictures of motorcycles, hydrants, and crosswalks like it's 1990 and I still can't get in. The functionality is intuitive, and PayPal requires minimal orientation/training for people to use. I highly recommend it. Pros There are a number of ways that an organization can use PayPal, from using it as a tool to collect money for a specific purpose, to being able to collect money on site in a retail sale, to fundraising and soliciting donations for an organization, etc. It's varied, versatile, and easy-to-use. Cons The back-end reporting that PayPal offers has improved, but it could be improved a bit further, helping an organization know more about who is interacting with it, etc. Alternatives considered [Shopify](https://www.capterra.com/p/83891/Shopify/) Reason for choosing PayPal PayPal was less expensive and trusted by more people. I see their wallet option available with sites that allows credit card payment. Sometimes, it's critical to enable users to pay on credit card to assess their credit line and understand returning customer. Pros 1) The adoption of PayPal is global, I can use it internationally to send and receive money or gifts. 2) Easy checkout via wallet from websites (if logged in already, it's even easier). 3) They send you summary of your wallet, like bank statement, which helps me keep track of usage. 4) Good for small and new business to enable payments on social media pages also via quick pay link. I've used Paypal personally and for my business for many years now because of it. Pros Paypal is wonderful because it is familiar to most people and a common platform. It's easy to create invoices on and streamline for taking payment. The fees are not outrageous and always a nice business expense. It's been a helpful tool for receiving payments internationally. Connecting directly to my main bank account is always convenient, too. Cons The fees are a bit of a guessing game, so it can be hard to know what the total you are receiving is. Sono state effettuate cinque transazioni non autorizzate, ciascuna di circa 100 euro, provenienti dagli Emirati Arabi, un Paese in cui non siamo mai stati né abbiamo mai effettuato acquisti. Nonostante la chiara natura fraudolenta delle operazioni, PayPal ha rifiutato la nostra richiesta di rimborso, sostenendo che per loro le transazioni risultano "regolari". Questo è inaccettabile, considerando che nei termini e condizioni della carta (articolo 18) PayPal si impegna a rimborsare le transazioni non autorizzate. L’assistenza clienti si è dimostrata del tutto inefficace, e ci sentiamo abbandonati di fronte a un problema che PayPal avrebbe dovuto gestire con serietà. I completed PayPals online form to start a dispute. I could see this was a company they had recently flagged as untrustworthy. I followed the instructions. Their investigation team followed up. My money was returned to me. It was a wonderful experience and outcome. I only use PayPal now for all online purchases. Pros I recommend PayPal to anyone who online shops. It offers more safety and security than using my credit card. Cons I honestly have no complaints. It took a few days for their online fraud team to complete their investigation when I was bamboozled, then I was refunded, so just be patient and you’ll get your money returned to you.
