In addition to being a great tool for our ecommerce business, the team was very helpful and encouraging in getting us setup. We even were invited to some events at the paypal head office downtown. Aside from being a great tool, they have a great team and they really focus on helping you as a small business Pros Gave us a low cost option to take payments over the phone and also is a secondary payment processor we use for our website. Which allows users of paypal to checkout quicker on our site. In addition - our subscription program handles its re-billing through paypal. Cons The only issue I have is that customers navigate off the site to use it. Would love it to be an in line feature like stripe is. Having reliable help on hand for resolving issues is such a valuable feature and it's been very effective when I've used it. The fact that so many of its payment features are free for the customer is an absolute winner. Cons Occasionally there are some integration issues with some merchants where it seems like you're going to be given one more step before the order/payment is confirmed, and then it's suddenly gone through. More clarity on that would be helpful. Also, having PayPal appear as a popup instead of a new tab can sometimes make the user experience a little clunky. Cons When PayPal acquired Zettle, a payment system I used for vendor events, it made the hardware I was using obsolete and I had to purchase new card readers.
