Everything is very easy to use and clear directions on what to do. Pros I like that when sending a payment to a friend or family it is fast and they receive it immediately. Also the customer service has quick responses if you have an issue they will solve it as best as they can. This software also has a deal page where you can get discounts at stores online. Cons The least overall i feel is that i think compared to other apps like this one that it is kind of expensive for sending money. It is easy to use it for online shopping, and sending money to friends and family. I also use Paypal to collect cashbacks from stores, and then I send these collections to my bank account. It is very reliable and safe to use this App. Some coffee shops and stores also accept PAypal payments. It is very fast. The mobile application is also very useful. I send money in a second for my bills, etc. I definitely recommend using pPaypal for sending payments online. All you need to do is to connect a bank account. I even use Paypal to shop at Amazon and pay my registertion fees at Netflix, Apple TV, etc. Cons I can not think of any disadvantage. Paypal helps you save time and money. It is very conevnient to use it for online bill payment, online shopping, send money to businesses and friends. The payment process will be completed for free in 1-3 business days. As a customer and due the risk of fraudulent transactions, you should need another alternative payment method in case of payment rejection. Pros This platform is widely used around the world, and it helps the customer to buy quick and easy, and the business to implement its solution quickly thanks to popular libraries that are already developed for almost every e-commerce platforms. Cons For business, if it accepts a transaction that is flagged as fraud, it must charge-back the amount of the transaction, but also it must pay all the additional charges product of the charge-back and use of the platform. It means the business will lose money per each fraudulent transaction. Pros I use PayPal to mainly make payment. I can say PayPal is secured because I added my credit card to their platform (over 3 years) so that I can fast-track some automated recurring payment and I have not experienced any illegal activities on that card. Their services serve as an insurance for me and have been my saving grace at times when I make payment to some online merchants who later turned out to be fraudulent and When I report them to PayPal, they always ensure my money is refunded. PayPal has never charged me for using their payment platform except for the minimal test charge that was collected to verify my card and was returned less than 24 hours later. I don’t know if they charge for received payments through their platform because I have not used the “received payment” function. PayPal payment service is accepted almost everywhere online and their logo somehow gives positive credit to many websites. It has helped me pay clients across diverse geographical locales I never would have been able to make payment to or do business with because of the universality of their payment options. They have wonderful and very helpful customer care staffs and are always looking for very innovative means to improve their service delivery. Cons Their conversion rates are usually higher than the actual bank exchange rate when you are doing inter currency payment. I have noticed that the payment I make through PayPal is occasionally delayed and this sometimes causes friction between me and my sellers. You need an email to be able to access their service. I would have preferred a normal username that would make it more difficult for people to guess. Kudos to them though, for the strong password and pin combination. I recently received payment from an ebay sale and it was sent to my Australian paypal when I wanted it sent to my American one. I couldn't get it transferred over. I contacted Paypal and Ebay and the solution was not resolved. So I ended up sending myself the money and paying the converting fee and extra fee for doing the transfer. If a customer has multiple accounts in different countries, I think it would be smart to be able to get monies moved around from different accounts. I plan to have a viable ecommerce business but for now, I make personal sales as my sales are not too high. I'm worried that if there is a problem again with issues like this, that I will have to be transferring myself money between international accounts, without the help of paypal. I am overall satisfied with Paypal, I use it a lot to make sales, trasnfer money to friends, etc. however, this was the only time I had a real problem and it would have been helpful if I could have verified both my accounts to show that it was mine, and that I could get the funds moved from one account to another. Pros User interface on the computer is well done. Easy to find what you want to do. Cons There are too many verifications that are happening and it's really starting to become a burden. I had to change my phone number and when I went into paypal, they wanted to confirm something through my cellphone. I couldn't do this obviously because the old number, I didn't have it anymore! Their service is fantastic if you need something about payments or getting paid. You don't need to remember any IBAN or bank account number. All you need to have is a person's email. Even if that person hasn't configured PayPal for their address you can still send the payment. They will receive a link for registration and instantly they will have their money. It really is that great and easy! Also, I love that you can add all your credit card in your PayPal wallet so you will never ever have to retype those boring card details when you shop online. If you are buying on eBay and using PayPal you are automatically covered by MoneyBack guarantee buyer protection. You shouldn't worry about your bank account data because it is a fort for a hacker. It has 2FA and everything is strongly encrypted. If you are sending to another country or another currency you don't need to worry about anything you either type how much you want to send in your currency of how much you want that receiver receives in their currency. PayPal handles conversion automagically. Cons I really don't like the fees they have. They are often hidden and they will add a fee for even small stuff that some traditional banks have for free in their plan. Also, I have to contact support via email a few times because some stuff wasn't working properly and I waited for the reply almost 2 days. That is really catastrophic for today's companies. Here comes Paypal. I've been using PayPal for over a decade and I must say that it is the premiere service for facilitating transactions online. The security measures are up to par with my actual bank, not to mention their customer service is extremely helpful. Being able to use the program across multiple platforms is a performance pro for my business. Being able to design contracts, initiate partial payments, and resolve disputes in one place makes PayPal the best service for my business to collect payments, and the best service for me to use as an individual when shopping online. Cons So, Paypal is great, however, when it comes to customer disputes... my experience is that PayPal tends to lean towards heavier buyer protections rather than sellers. Great for me as a shopper, horrible for me as a business owner. While my personal experiences haven't been as bad as others I've witnessed, I've had funds frozen and reversed just because the buyer said they didn't receive a product. Luckily for me and my irrational hoarding of receipts, I was able to fight my case, but that still resulted in a partial refund to the customer. Even with the higher fees, it's worth it because I am able to work with clients who wouldn't hire me if they had to pay using some of the newer/fancier/cheaper apps. Pros PayPal is an internationally recognized way to pay for goods and services, and that's its best feature. The brand recognition makes my clients feel comfortable paying their invoices using this system. They trust its privacy features, they trust that they won't get ripped off, and they trust that their information is safe. Additionally, it's easy to create and track invoices on PayPal -- a feature I really appreciate. Cons That said, PayPal does charge fees that are higher than some of the other payment solutions. (However, they're similar to general credit card processing fees.) I encourage my clients to pay via alternate means when possible, which saves me a lot of money, especially on international transactions. Even so, the majority of my clients still prefer PayPal because they know it, have had good experiences with it, and have used it for decades. It is secure and protects your personal information. It is also good at receiving and sending payments, and can receive any currency and transfer it to your bank account. I always use PayPal when shopping online, especially on sites that aren't well-known or trustworthy. When a website exposes me to a scam, it secures my credit card information and returns the money to me. Cons PayPal isn't a smart choice for local payments because it's less popular and there are other options. PayPal's currency conversion rate is extremely high, and we have to accept a significant loss when sending money worldwide. Also, there are certain issues with customer support, such as the delay in responding, which can run for days, and I believe they lack transparency because they don't provide you with information.
