### "Convenient Payments, but Fees Can Add Up"

July 26, 2026

5.0

Overall PayPal has been convenient and reliable for everyday online payments. It’s easy to use and widely accepted, though fees and occasional account-review delays can be frustrating

Pros

I liked PayPal’s convenience and wide acceptance. It makes online payments quick keeps card details more private and is easy to use across many stores and services

Cons

Fees can feel high especially for international payments or currency conversion. Account limitations and slower dispute resolution can also be frustrating

### "Secure, Reliable, and Easy-to-Use Online Payment Platform"

July 15, 2026

5.0

Overall, PayPal has been a dependable payment solution for both personal and business transactions. It has simplified online payments, invoicing, expense management, and record keeping by providing organized transaction data and easy access to payment history. The platform is easy to use, secure, and widely accepted, making it suitable for international payments as well. Although the fees are higher than some alternatives and occasional verification or minor technical issues can occur, the reliability, security, customer support, and overall functionality make it a service I continue to use with confidence.

Pros

PayPal offers a secure and user-friendly payment platform that makes sending, receiving, and managing payments very convenient. The interface is intuitive, and setting up an account is straightforward. I especially like the invoicing feature, detailed transaction history, and expense tracking, which make it easier to manage personal and business finances. The platform integrates with many online stores and business tools, saving time during checkout and payment processing. Considering its security features, reliability, and global acceptance, it provides good value for money. Whenever I contacted customer support, the responses were professional and helpful, and most issues were resolved within a reasonable timeframe.

Cons

The biggest drawback is the transaction and currency conversion fees, which can become expensive for frequent international payments. There are also occasional account verification checks that may temporarily delay access to funds. While the platform is generally stable, I have experienced minor bugs such as delayed transaction status updates or temporary loading issues, although they were usually resolved quickly. I would also appreciate more flexible pricing options and faster resolution for complex support cases.

Alternatives considered

[Razorpay](https://www.capterra.com/p/179263/Razorpay/)

Reason for choosing PayPal

I considered Razorpay because it offers strong payment processing capabilities, especially for domestic transactions. However, I chose PayPal because of its wider global acceptance, strong reputation for secure international payments, buyer and seller protection, and straightforward setup. Its easy integration with websites and e-commerce platforms, along with reliable cross-border payment support, made it the better fit for my needs.

### "Convenient and widely accepted, but some payment rules are confusing"

July 5, 2026

3.0

Overall, PayPal has been useful for making and receiving payments online. It is a familiar platform that many people trust, and it can make transactions easier when both sides already use PayPal. My experience has mostly been positive, but there are times when the rules, fees, payment source limits, and invoice/payment details are confusing. I would still use PayPal, but I think the platform could be clearer and more user-friendly when explaining payment options and restrictions.

Pros

PayPal is convenient and widely accepted, which makes it useful for online payments, sending money, receiving payments, and using invoices. I like that many people and businesses already know how to use it, so it is easier than explaining a different payment method. It also gives me some flexibility with different payment sources.

Cons

Some parts of PayPal can be confusing, especially when trying to understand fees, payment holds, invoices, prepaid cards, or why a payment method is not working the way expected. Customer support and account/payment rules are not always easy to understand, and sometimes it feels like you have to search around to figure out what is actually allowed.

### "PayPal is the glue between websites and payments"

May 31, 2026

PayPal has always been a large part of my online payment mechanism. It started when using Ebay and on Shopify.

Pros

PayPal makes receiving and sending money very easy and efficient. The ability to plug into an e-commerce site and start collecting payments is simple.

Cons

Sometimes verification is not efficient. Also support could be better when it comes to technical help.

### "Easy payment solution for anyone and everyone "

June 25, 2026

5.0

My overall experience has been positive. PayPal is one of those platforms I keep using because it’s dependable, widely accepted, and simple to work with, even though the fees and occasional account issues can be annoying . For business and marketing use, it’s still a practical choice because customers know it and it helps keep checkout friction low. After nearly 18 years, I’d call it reliable and convenient, with a few long standing drawbacks that you just learn to work around.

Pros

PayPal has been apart of my arsenal for 18 years now and there is a reason for that. It is very simple to use and the average Joe can hop on there send and receive a payment with literally no friction. When asking for payment from clients and using PayPal as the preferred payment method most people trust it as it’s well known name. It works very well with invoicing and keeping all my transactions organized and sorted. Anytime I have had issues reaching out to PayPal customer support has been as easy as possible and normally most issues get resolved fairly quickly.

Cons

The fees have to be the biggest downside to using PayPal when it comes to doing volume and international payments. Account holds happen often when doing volume with these guys and it holds up cash flow which is extremely frustrating. Some parts of PayPal fee very outdated compared to other payment processing companies on the market.

### "Reliable, User-Friendly Payment Platform for Vendors and Clients"

June 24, 2026

5.0

PayPal is a reliable payment solution for businesses that need a convenient way to send payments, receive money, track transactions, and maintain organized financial records. Its ease of use, helpful tracking features, and strong customer service make it a solid option for everyday business transactions.

Pros

PayPal is an easy and dependable way to pay vendors and collect payments from clients or purchasers. The transaction history is clear, detailed, and easy to export, which makes recordkeeping and financial reconciliation much simpler. I also find the shipping-tracking feature very helpful when purchases are involved. PayPal’s customer service has been consistently wonderful and responsive when assistance is needed

Cons

Transaction fees can add up, especially for businesses processing frequent payments or larger-dollar transactions. It would also be helpful to have more flexibility in customizing payment reports directly within the platform.

### "Undesirable "

My overall experience with PayPal is a little rocky because of how the customer service is handled. Not efficient at all.

Pros

It’s easy to understand and use even for beginners. I used it for personal use when ordering online so I wouldn’t use my main card.

Cons

The experience with contacting customer support. I had an issue and they told me to wait 1 to 5 business days for the issue to be resolved but it’s been over a month now and still hasn’t been resolved.

### "Widespread acceptance"

July 11, 2026

For My boss to send me money when needed it is a no brainer! Paypal us the way to go. But for our business it is just a necessary evil. So use it for person shopping and convenience. But for the business side we like to diversify our payment options.

Pros

It is super easy to use. Sign up is free. And My boss and I use it for weekly grocery shopping. And it is accepted everywhere which keeps us from always getting hurt with fees.

Cons

The transaction fees are extremely high. So if we take it as payment we are usually hit with 2.9% fee. All kinds of hidden fees and customer service does not help in anyway.

positive for the most part, but as with everything we have our issues - some issues we should not be having in 2026, lets fix this for a seemless user experience

Pros

Ease of use. The platform is very diverse, even for me whose used it for many years. Transfers are easy, and getting money in and out of the account is fluid.

Cons

Sometimes it has issues with login - or if one has MFA on it. Other times the app glitches like youre a total stranger even though everything is typed in correctly.

### "Take the good with the bad"

March 23, 2026

4.0

I’ve had a pretty mixed experience using PayPal over time. On the one hand, it’s incredibly convenient. Setting up an account was quick, and I like not having to enter my card details every time I make an online purchase. Sending and receiving money is usually fast and straightforward, which makes it useful for splitting bills or paying people without much hassle. One of the biggest positives for me has been the sense of security. Knowing there’s some level of buyer protection gives me peace of mind when shopping online, especially from sellers I’m not familiar with. That said, there are definitely downsides. The fees can be frustrating, especially for certain transactions or when dealing with international payments. It sometimes feels like small amounts get chipped away more than expected. Another issue I’ve run into is how sensitive the system can be—there have been moments where transfers were delayed or my account was briefly limited, and it wasn’t always clear why. Overall, I’d say PayPal is reliable and convenient for everyday use, especially for online purchases, but it’s not perfect. It works well most of the time, but when problems come up, they can be a bit frustrating to deal with.

Pros

PayPal is a convenient and widely accepted payment method. Setting up a PayPal account is easy and hassle-free. Additionally, PayPal is accepted at many retailers, further enhancing its ease of use and convenience.

Cons

I have reservations about certain functionalities of PayPal. There are numerous scams associated with PayPal, and perpetrators often face minimal consequences. Additionally, PayPal lacks adequate protections for sellers. Consumers can fraudulently claim that goods or services have not been rendered, leading to a reversal of payment. The fees associated with certain transactions can end up feeling more like a penalty rather than a necessity.

### "A Great eCommerce Business Solution"

February 11, 2026

My experience with PayPal has been ongoing for over ten years. They ensure customers satisfaction as well as protect merchants. I've have never had a problem with PayPal.

Pros

I have used PayPal for many years, but I recently created an online store and I'm now using it with my store shopping cart for purchasing. I'm very happy with the results and it was easy to set up.

Cons

That it doesn't offer a large range of other payment solutions with the cart. I would also like to offer other solutions to ensure more sales from people who may not use PayPal. However it does offer most credit cards and checks.

### "A Trusted Platform for Online Transactions"

June 1, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with PayPal has been positive. It's easy to use, convenient for sending and receiving money, and accepted by many online stores and services. While I've had a few minor frustrations with fees and occasional delays, it's generally been a reliable payment platform that I trust for online transactions.

Pros

What I liked most about PayPal was its convenience and ease of use. Sending and receiving payments is straightforward, transactions are processed quickly, and it is widely accepted by many online merchants. The platform also provides useful security features and purchase protection, which helps build confidence when making online payments.

Cons

Sometimes the fees feel a bit high, especially for certain transactions. I've also had moments where payments took longer than expected or where it wasn't immediately clear why there was a hold or limitation on an account. It can be frustrating when that happens.

### "Secure, Easy, but Improvable"

June 15, 2026

5.0

The cons aren't enough to keep me from using PayPal and the overall experience accomplished what I needed.

Pros

What I like most about PayPal is how it reduces friction in everyday payments. Once my account is set up, I don’t have to repeatedly pull out my card or retype long billing details. That small convenience adds up, especially when I’m shopping online frequently or checking out on different sites. It makes the whole process feel more streamlined and less interrupted. I also really value the security side of it. I like that I’m not directly sharing my card or bank information with every merchant. Instead, PayPal acts as an intermediary, which makes me feel more comfortable trying new stores or services. On top of that, the dispute resolution and buyer protection features give me some reassurance that if something goes wrong—like an item never arrives or doesn’t match the description—there’s at least a process for resolving it. Another thing I appreciate is how widely accepted it is. In many cases, I don’t even have to think about whether it will be available—it usually is. That consistency makes it feel like a dependable “backup” payment method, especially when I don’t want to enter card details on unfamiliar sites or when another payment method fails. There are also practical perks, like being able to send money to friends or handle small reimbursements without needing cash or bank transfers. It’s not always the cheapest option, especially with certain fees, but for convenience and familiarity, it tends to win out in my day-to-day use. Overall, I’d describe it as a tool I rely on more for ease and peace of mind than anything else—it removes small annoyances from online transactions and makes payments feel more predictable.

Cons

What I liked least about PayPal is how inconsistent the experience can feel when something goes wrong. The biggest issue for me is account holds or sudden limitations. Even when I’m just making normal transactions, it can be frustrating if a payment gets flagged and my funds are temporarily frozen while verification is requested. It can interrupt plans, especially if I’m expecting quick access to money. I also don’t love the fee structure. While basic personal use is often fine, fees can add up for certain types of transactions, especially business payments or currency conversions. It sometimes feels less transparent than I’d like when I’m trying to understand exactly what I’m being charged. Customer support is another weak point in my experience. When I’ve needed help, I’ve sometimes found it difficult to reach a quick, clear resolution. The process can feel a bit automated or slow, especially compared to the immediacy of the payment system itself. Finally, while it’s widely accepted, there are still occasional websites or services that don’t support it, which is a reminder that it isn’t truly universal. Overall, I still use it for convenience, but those reliability and support issues are what stand out most negatively.

### "Smooth app with minor glitches"

July 20, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Pay Pay is mostly positive. I feel it is secure and easy to use. The interface is not hard to use. I would definitely recommend Pay Pal to others for secure and simple to use app for online transactions.

Pros

The very first thing I like about Pay Pal is that how easy it makes to send and receive payments, especially the international ones. I also like the data managing feature of transaction history where I can review my past receipts and invoices, which helps me in expense management. Whenever I find any glitch like delays in showing payments, customer support always assisted me well. Taking everything in account all in all Pay Pal is offering good value for the convenience and features, must say. I always feel secure using it.

Cons

The only thing I dislike about Pay Pal is the app glitches, like data loading issues or getting the payment notifications late.

### "Simple and Convenient for Everyday Payments"

May 2, 2026

5.0

Pros

What stands out most for personal use is how simple PayPal makes everyday payments. Sending money to friends or family takes only a few steps, and there is no need to deal with bank details each time. It feels quick and convenient, especially for small day to day transactions. From a value for money perspective, it is useful because basic personal transfers usually do not feel complicated or expensive. It works well for splitting bills, paying for online purchases, or receiving money without any extra effort. Ease of use is probably the strongest part. The app is straightforward, and everything is placed where it is easy to find. Even without much experience, it is easy to understand how to send money, check history, or manage settings. For invoicing, it is handy when requesting money from someone. It gives a clean and simple way to send a payment request, which is useful for informal work or shared expenses. Customer support is available when needed, though most personal users may not need it often. When issues come up, there are clear help options inside the app. Expense and data management is helpful for tracking personal spending. It is easy to look back at past payments, which makes it simple to keep an eye on where money is going or to settle shared costs later.

Cons

What I like least is mainly the fees. Even small transfers can sometimes come with charges, especially if currency conversion is involved or if it is not a straightforward bank funded payment. It can feel a bit frustrating when a simple transaction ends up costing more than expected. Another downside is that account limitations can happen without much warning. In some cases, access to funds or certain features may get restricted temporarily, and the verification process can take time to resolve.

### "Simple to use, but the fees are not great"

April 21, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with PayPal has been mostly positive. I use it because it is simple, clear, and convenient for veryday online payments. The app is easy to understand, and managing payments or checking transaction history is not difficult. I do not use invoicing very often, but it is nice that the option is there. Sometimes there are small issues or delays, but usually nothing serious. In general, PayPal is useful and reliable, but the fees make it a bit less worth it in some cases.

Pros

What I like most about PayPal is how easy it is to use. It makes online payments quick, and I like that I do not have to enter my card details every time. It also feels safe, and it is accepted on many websites.

Cons

What I like least about PayPal is the fees, especially for international payments or currency conversion. I think customer support could be better, because solving problems can take too long sometimes.

### "Better than your average banking app"

April 11, 2026

5.0

PayPal is worth revisiting if you haven't used it in a while. Years ago, I used to find it difficult to track the flow of transactions within PayPal, but they have updated their design and features to make it even more friendly to use than your average banking app. I appreciate the clean aesthetic, integration options, and security features to keep my account safe. I've never had any issues with privacy on PayPal.

Pros

PayPal has only gotten easier to use. It's simple design makes invoicing easy for a small business or independent contractor. I rarely ever encounter bugs or glitches with the product. The free version gives me plenty of options, including creating a custom PayPal.me link which makes sharing my business with others even easier. Whenever I've needed to reach out to customer support, the messaging system feels a bit dated but, thankfully, I usually hear back same day.

Cons

There has been an occasion or two where I've needed to reach out to PayPal support to request a refund from a purchase I had made. The messaging system feels a bit clunky and support almost always gives you a call back by phone anyway. So I don't love when I have to deal with that, but the agents seem knowledgeable and tend to act efficiently.

### "The Most Accessible Payment Gateway for E-commerce and Freelancing"

March 2, 2026

4.0

Whether I am handling payments for custom development projects or managing financial transactions for a retail e-commerce page, PayPal provides a secure and universally trusted platform. It saves me the immense hassle of building and securing complex payment infrastructures from scratch, allowing me to focus on business growth and development.

Pros

Integrating PayPal's API into custom backend solutions is straightforward and well-documented. It is incredibly reliable for receiving payments from international freelance clients and managing daily transactions for online e-commerce setups. The universally recognized checkout process is seamless, which builds trust with customers and helps reduce cart abandonment.

Cons

The transaction fees can be quite high, especially when factoring in cross-border fees and currency conversion rates for international transfers. Additionally, their automated security system can sometimes place unexpected, temporary holds on funds, which can temporarily disrupt cash flow for small businesses.

### "Convenient and Trusted, But Not Without Frustrations"

May 2, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with PayPal has been convenient and easy to use. It is familiar to customers, helps make payments feel secure, and works well for quick online transactions. That said, the fees, occasional fund holds, and delays with support can be frustrating, especially for a business that needs reliable access to payments. So overall, it is useful and trusted, but not always the smoothest option from a business standpoint.

Pros

I liked that PayPal made payments quick, familiar, and easy for customers. It gave people a payment option they already trusted, which helped make checkout feel smoother and more secure.

Cons

What I liked least about PayPal was the fees and the occasional holds or delays on funds. It can be convenient, but when payments are held or customer support is slow to resolve an issue, it becomes frustrating for a business that needs quick access to its money.

What I like most about Paypal is that is very easy to access with and its less hassle too. Its makes everything for me very convenient especially sending money.

Cons

Sometimes I encountered error when trying to send money and their customer support is not that quick to resolved issues.

### "PayPal Payment Services Review"

July 15, 2026

5.0

My experience with PayPal has been mainly positive and I enjoy using the service to handle certain money services.

Pros

I love how easy PayPal is to use and how it makes P2P, Person 2 Business, and other payments super quick and easy while also allowing you to use a variety of payment methods to use. Creating invoices are an absolute breeze because it automatically generates the entire form based on just the payment information you used and submitted. It also keeps record of all your transactions for a very long time. I can still view the very first transaction I made from the very first time I used PayPal back in 2019. And the support staff are always very helpful and always get my money returned if I ever report any problems. Some things they do charge very small fees for, like for instance, transferring money from your PayPal balance to a debit card instantly. Depending on the transfer amount, will determine the fee you are accessed for using the instant transfer option, which still isn't very much.

Cons

The security checkpoints can be a bit of a pain in the neck oftentimes and they seem to hit you at literally each time you login. Not much of a fan of that.
