### "Very good software with great customer service when needed"

We are saving a lot of time and manual paperwork by using this program and other the the couple of blips previously mentioned, it has been great.

Pros

The software is pretty user friendly and fulfills most of our needs. The ability to send test results and invoicing immediately is great and the customer database is necessary for us. We have had a few technical issues like broadcasts to our customers not appearing properly on their end and causing a bit of embarrassment for us. When we have called tech support they have always been prompt at dealing with the issue and friendly. Overall, this is a great platform that needs a couple of slight improvements to be outstanding.

Cons

Most functions are easy to use but we have had an issue in the past with missing customer notifications that needed to be sent because of the preset drop downs and right now we have had a customer broadcast email that came across to at least half of our customers of gibberish, which is embarrassing.

My overall experience with Syncta has been pleasant. It has helped me to save time by not having to do repetitive paperwork and then storing the paperwork.

Pros

I like that I can have the customers info and that it's mobile.

Cons

The thing I like the least about this software is the privacy aspect. I do not like the fact that without my permission, my information can be accessed by a Syncta employee and can be monitored at the employees discretion. I realize that when i purchased the software that i likely checked a box saying that this was possible, but it still bothers me. The product is somewhat easy to use, but can be frustrating sometimes to try to leave one page and go back to another...because if you need to come back it can be difficult to locate where you were. ie. (when entering dozens of new devices, if you realize you make a mistake, leave that device and try to correct the mistake, when you leave the screen it takes you back to the top of the customers page. It has been fairly easy to integrate with my existing business. It just has taken a lot of time to enter my existing customers and their info into Syncta's system.

### "Beware"

Customer service went from very good to unacceptable our subscription includes tech support we are not getting. Syncta claims to save time but we have proven that untrue. Syncta has lost data, botched 1000's of test dates, has crashed for days at a time, is clumsy and at times very slow.

Pros

Stripe credit card processing interfaced with Syncta. Customer can pay an invoice from an e-mail and Syncta will automatically receive and mark invoice paid.Syncta will auto-fill Tokay test reports.

Cons

Syncta can only calculate next test due date one way or the other. If your a testing company that test for purveyors that calculate defiantly you will find yourself maintaining test due dates manually for one of them.For purveyors that use a set annual due date, If a test is performed before the due date (due to repair or any reason) Syncta will jump that test 12 month from the due date plus the number of months the test was performed before the due date. So it is possible Syncta will move a annual test 24 months ahead. This has a very negative affect on notifications and compliance.

Reason for choosing Syncta

Because Syncta could auto-fill test reports in Tokay.

### "Good, but you should know…"

Pros

It streamlines the entire process of testing and the submitting of paperwork.

Cons

If you do not have cell service, you have no access to database in any way. I have to always have paper and a pen to write in or I use the “notes” app on my phone. It is crazy that there is or an offline aspect to the database.

We've been using the software for almost 5 years and have had a great overall experience. Their customer support is responsive and they have always been open to suggestions and changes that we suggest.

Pros

Best features are definitely the creation and delivery of test reports and invoicing. Tester can generate and deliver test reports in the field. Invoicing and receiving payments are simple and fast using the integrated Stripe payment system

Cons

Still have to use an accounting software program such as quickbooks to track non-backflow testing related parts of the business but it handles the testing and invoicing so well this small drawback is well worth it.

So far the program has worked well for us, I wish the link with QuickBooks was smoother but overall we are happy with Syncta.

Pros

Everything is online, no paper. Customer support is great. User friendly.

Cons

It would be great be able to filter data inside of Syncta, I know you can do reports but this filter would be to be able to filter by date, purveyor, etc to schedule a large group for testing.

Reason for choosing Syncta

Used Tokay at a previous company for 12 years, it was more than what we needed being a testing company but we made it work for us, it was also very expensive.

### "Worth it in every way."

Syncta, has been a joy to work with. The techs are great to answer a question, even if we feel stupid having to ask it. And the saving of paper, between the field techs and us is awesome. Everyone is on the same page (no pun intended). A last minute valve to the schedule, and the tech has it immediately.

Pros

The ability to get the inspection reports even before the tech gets back into the office, the ease of transmitting the results to the different water purveyors. And if there is a question, it does not take long to get an answer with the understanding of your question.

Cons

When you are changing some information on an address with multiple valves listed. And you correct the information and hit save it will not take you back to were you where. you have to scroll back down to it. other than that LOVE everything else.

I do well over 1000 tests yearly and over the course of the summer, I use it for about 300 tests so I don't need to pay the $100+/mo for the program, I just use the lowest option and it works out fine. Overall experience was rocky in the beginning because they do a fairly good "hard sell" then once you sign up, some of the tech support gets a little rocky. I haven't needed their tech support for a while, but the last time I did, they helped out fairly quick.

Pros

I use it for my non database customers, meaning I don't use it for every test, just the ones outside my large water purveyor area.

Cons

Clunky in places. When the test is reviewed, there's not an easy way to just click on send to send the reports, you have to first review, then jump to the drop down menu and go to submit, then click on the ones you want to send (usually all of them in batches) and then click on submit.

I use the product heavily, daily. Overall I like the product and will continue using it, but there are definitely areas that could use improvement for my standpoint

Pros

Scheduling, invoicing and batch notification of annual customers

Cons

1) The mobile app is not great in my opinion. If you don't have perfect service, you get an error and have to restart the app. Or the app won't load at all. It would be nice if you could perform the data entry even if not online then sync at a later time when in good service area or wifi. 2) The workflow for entering customers (especially if connected to Quickbooks) is pretty cumbersome and time consuming.

### "Cuts down on paperwork"

It has made testing the 800+ devices we do annually so much quicker, easier and more efficient. It has cut the paperwork side down by 90%

Pros

The ability to store all devices. This cuts down on writing down device info year after year and allows the tester to quickly identify what assembly needs tested.

Cons

The order of how a reduced pressure assembly is tested is not in the correct order. Having to scroll thru the screen to put in test results can lead to things being missed

The customer service on this product is fabulous. Anytime there is a question or issue that comes up, all you have to do is make a phone call and it gets addressed immediately.

Pros

The ease of use of this product is essential to our busy business. The employees on the road have easy access to entering and printing reports on site.

Cons

There is nothing I don't like about this software.

### "Syncta is great software for organizing back flow testing"

Syncta has helped us get organized when it comes to back flow tests. I love having all of the customer info (device serial numbers, locations, etc) in one place. All of our water purveyors have remarked about how much they love the readable tests ( an improvement from the days of filling out forms in the field and handing in wet, dirty or unreadable reports.

Pros

II like having all of my back flow customer records in one place in an organized format. I can read my testers’ reports!

Cons

It’s a little expensive. Uploading only back flow customers from QuickBooks was difficult so I ended up hand entering each account.

Good customer support from Syncta to educate me about the product.

Amazing!

Pros

We love that it remembers devices location and numbers. The crew was very helpful getting a report our city would accept. Its so nice it emails city water purveyors and the client. So many ways to customize the service to our needs.

Cons

nothing. The tech support is always nice and very helpful. even with my dumb questions.
