### "Great Program"

We no longer lose track of tenant movements. I also am able to keep up with the books easier.

Pros

I love that the software makes organization better. I use to use spreadsheets and have to run reports all the time. With RMS everything is right there at my fingertips and I know that if I can't find it I have someone I can call that can help me.

Cons

There really are so many options that sometimes I get confused going through them all.

Since going cloud based we have had a lot more flexibility, during our core business off season we can travel, or relief manage, anywhere we have internet access, and customers and guests don't know any difference.

Pros

RMS is easy to use, support has been great and prompt when needed, a lot better support than other FOH programs we have used when relief managing. Currently enjoying the freedom of been able to work from where ever suits- home - office - travelling or relief managing, cloud has made our working a lot more flexible.

Cons

Keeping up with the improvements and options available! Good problem to have.

This is my first OS coming from pencil-in-a-book, so it's a lot easier to find and adjust bookings now. I find it quite expensive, but I'm only comparing that to the fact that my previous system was free - I'm not sure how it compares to other booking systems on the market.

Pros

Very streamlined with various ways of finding bookings. Setup is still in motion but I can still use it which is useful as I can figure out kinks and adjust as we go.

Cons

About halfway through my training the system got an overhaul so I had to re-learn a lot of what I thought I knew.

Reason for choosing RMS

It seemed very user-friendly during the showcase. Most others I thought about looking into wouldn't show me anything unless I bought it first.

It is getting worse and worse with each new version. A recent update completely removed all our saved reports. Essential monthly reports that were automated did not arrive and have caused hours of work to resolve. The software is now harder to use as fields which used to be integrated in a booking now have to be opened separately to complete. It is very slow and often crashes. It has a very ancient "Windows98" style interface. They also service the military, so are not an ethical company. Frankly, I recommend any prospective user look elsewhere.

Pros

There really isn't much to like about it at all, it just gets worse and worse.

Cons

Everything, there are not enough fields in the booking overview panel, moving bookings when the client has no firm date loses all financial information. The reports are inaccurate - reconciliation shows this. Stupid advertising intrudes at times. It often crashes and is slow. The list goes on and on.

I am very happy with RMS. Customer support is fantastic when you need them, but that doesn't happen very often. I am finding new functions that help us out regularly as I explore more of the program.

Pros

Easy to use, and all information is visible on one screen.

Cons

Sending emails from the program requires a lot more clicks than should be necessary.

### "So Simple but lots to learn"

Pros

The ease of use. Simple enough to learn for nearly anyone. The help center is also available to do a quick search for a how to tutorial if needed. I also like the online booking and guest portal. This saves the office staff a bunch of time with reservations on monthly guest rent payments.

Cons

Overall there is little to dislike about the software. However, I would have to say there is a lot to it and that results in a lot to learn especially if you are the person performing the initial set up for a property. Some time a simple error can result in a feature not functioning properly or not at all. Lots of steps sometimes.

### "RMS Campground review"

We have been satisfied with RMS but if there was a division that was more geared to campground that would be better. Most of it is for hotels.

Pros

I do like the way content and information is displayed within the program. The booking chart is clear and the screens look professional. Reporting is great.

Cons

There are a lot of bugs or glitches that occur and the wait time for release of updates that resolve these issues is long.

### "It is time RMS looked at itself and customer service"

It is probably not the software that is totally at fault, although it can be quite complicated and difficult to navigate. I sometimes think RMS delight in making things more complicated with so called enhancements The customer service is seriously lacking and wait times are quite long.Weekends can be extremely long. Definitely don't call unless it is an emergency Also customer after service is terrible when it comes to the changes/ enhances made to the software. No one bothers to notify when procedures changes. I will give 2 examples of this. 1: Apparently passwords are now case sensitive as of beginning of Oct 2016. It was not until i had an issue with RMS9+ late in October that I discovered this. I had been using the program without case sensitive password and of course the first few weeks in October. All of a sudden I now have to use case sensitive password after the technician I spoke with about the issue I was having had logged in to us. He did not tell me he had changed the password to be case sensitive and I spent a harrowing experience on a Saturday without being able log in. To me this was an emergency. 2: I was not made aware that if a situation occurs on a weekend I need to telephone support. From the support page there is no where to find a telephone number to call, The support page asks for a direct chat. but it is not manned on weekends. The Log a service request is also not manned on a weekend. This emergency number should be easily visible .

Pros

RMS 8 was a very good program in its day RMS 9 is more difficult to manage. RMS 9+ is still having glitches and is even harder to manage .

Cons

The longer we deal with RMS the more disillusioned we become. with everything from the software its self to the the way their accounting is handled and the customer service.

I love that many features can be automated. Reports are easy to generate. Booking a reservation can be done in no time

Cons

I don’t like that some things are “American” like on the online system “State” is supposed to be “Province” and we can’t change that. Also I wish the “Tax Invoice” was titled just “Invoice”. Other than those two things I love RMS Cloud

This software has enabled us to increase our profits and customer goodwill!

Pros

The feature we love the most about RMS is the real-time online booking! If a customer is booking online, customer service cannot access that particular site in the system. It has prevented double bookings which with other campground software was a nightmare!!! We also love the employee controls. It provides for amazing accountability and prevents errant discounts from being given.

Cons

The rate structure is hard to work with and requires a lot of attention to detail.

Pros

Software is easy to use. Links accounts together and just an ease of fluidity around everything we need.

Cons

Software sometimes does not recognize guest as input so we have to go and search that particular person.

I sent off 3 seperate support requests on a Saturday afternoon expecting responses on Monday. Lo and behold I had responses within 10 minutes and then a phone call when one didn't give the info I had requested. Blown away by that after my experiences with other PMS.

Pros

So many features. Especially love the reporting. We're linking up with HomHero which uses RMS for the back end Trust Accounting. The software relationship between the two is coming together nicely but with some to be expected hiccups along the way. Really amazed at RMS support which is prompt and reliable.

Cons

Communication between RMS and HomHero, while improving, needs further development ASAP. Still, better than alternatives.

### "Ups and Downs to RMS"

Pros

clean screen and in and out screen are easy to view and understand what is happening in house. Fairly user friendly and I like how their are multiple ways to do one thing.

Cons

The billing side of RMS is functional. "no funds available error message" Having to void off charges to be able to refund a card to then having to "create rate" to repost is not efficient at all. Not being able to exceed sales cap Not being able to tokenize something and pre auth at the same time. Looks bad when swiping guest card twice. Group allotments and pulling report are never accurate. A lot of room for errors with group reservations Glitchy system. Rates randomly change causing multiple billing issues.

With the basis of an intuitive interface and flexibility for customization, I like the fact that RMS is willing to support users and develop new functions based on customer feedback.

Cons

While many parts of the software are customizable, some parts are hard coded. Since RMS is already supporting various user needs, I would like to see them go further with functions such as renaming fields and reporting.

Fantastic.

Pros

We switched from starfleet because as a hotel, we needed support using property Management software. Starfleet wanted to charge for that and were often difficult to contact. Not so with RMS. Their support and online tutorials are fantastic.

Cons

There are too many features for me to wrap my head around. Most of which I will never use in a motel. It would be good to make ones not relevant to the hotel vanish.

Pros

Have been using RMS for 15 years easy to use after all that time

Cons

Do not update programme for apple computers have been requesting for 3.5 years nothing done. Have been requesting properties outside main capital areas have the Aust.post code system as 90% of the time you put in a town you get every one in the world except Aust. when using Google post code system. Lack of Knowledge by some staff re system was trying to have a problem solved for months kept getting a pre printed message weekly ) for morths .finally made another phone call and it was fixed whilst I was on the phone.(easte of time)
