The accounting side of this software has never been satisfactory and every upgrade gets worse. There have been 4 versions of the software in as many years and the latest cloud based is impossible - we are looking for an alternative for 2 properties. The support personnel are not interested in feedback and clearly the management takes no notice of the problems created.

Pros

Online booking appear OK

Cons

Accounting aspect lacks any practical knowledge of operating an accommodation business. The cloud system is very slow (even with fast internet connection). Screen GUI is poorly designed and relies too much on the mouse - they think we are "Gaming" orientated.

My overall experience is really good. I've been using RMS for over a year now and I am super comfortable with using this system.

Pros

I like how easy it can be to save our guest's information and it saves us a lot of time during a reservation.

Cons

Sometimes the software will freeze during checking in our guests which can be frustrated. And I will have to restart the program.

Rms is easy to use on the many platforms available. Because it is in the cloud it has allowed our business to operate without being tied to the office. It has provided flexibility to our managers by being able to have the work life balance that modern workplaces strive to provide

Cons

It doesn’t work well with Microsoft edge on some platforms

Thank you- you guys have been very patient with me and have provided outstanding service so far. Keep up the good work and I always look forward to speaking with you.

Pros

Great customer service: kind, prompt, and detail oriented. I also like that I get some of the same reps and am building a rapport! A lot of features are intuitive (but not all, see below) Helps me stay organized and on top of my reservations/transactions Still new to the program and discovering a lot of its features, but there seems to be a lot of features to be implemented to really control all elements of business in one place (RMS)

Cons

Wish customer service was available on the weekends too While the program itself is relatively intuitive, there's a lot that is not and requires what feels to be extensive support/training. Also, it was easy for me to update User Profiles and completely mess up my Field Maintenance screen (again thanks to support I was able to get it fixed relatively quickly) Program is glitchy and requires for me to log-out/log-in to accurately refresh data

Pros

Ease of use - reporting - separate databases for our operation

Cons

Not mobile friendly. Some functions are needed to make it perfect whilst on the move. eg the full booking chart so we can check availability whilst out of the office. As a small team, we need this to be able to carry on with our operations whilst travelling.

Pros

We've been working wit RMS for over 8 years now and love how user-friendly it is and how easily accessible and helpful the support team is.

Cons

I can't think of anything other than we have freezing issues every once in a while.

Quite intuitive. Grouo booking facilty is easy to use. Payment Express a simple way to take quest payment Great support The inbuilt channel manager makes it simple to communicate prices with OTA's Rate manager maker it very easy to adjust rates for busy/quiet times

Cons

Some bits of the help menu are a bit cluny, you need to get the phrase exactly right

Pros

27/5/19 After printing a few boomgate codes, all over a sudden a message appeared "Client not connected" took a screen shot, and sent a service request to RFMS, she tried to help, but couldn't fix it, thought it was a problem on our site, re-checked everything on our site as non RMS documents printed fine on that printer, re-emailed her about the problem, CSR made contact with my via phone and un-installed the smart printer, rename the printer profile, nothing was working, informed her how we have 2 printers networked, but she couldn't grasp our set-up, informed her that CSR would know, and after several hours today and dealing with customers in between, I Informed CSR that we aren't getting anywhere and I will contact other CSR, so glad I did, He has been very helpfull and understanding and knows a lot more about the way we have the 2 printers connected/networked, he is a legend and is worth MORE money, he never loses his attitude like she did, RFMS should employ more people like hi,, cheers - Manager

RMS doing updates and making changes that creates problems for a small business like ours.

Reason for choosing RMS

We initially ran with it as it was currently in use by previous owner. However have stayed with it as it seems to be a good product and the back up is usually very good.

Since using RMS cloud the hick-ups experienced earlier do not seem to be a problem. Resolving issues promptly has also improved dramatically.

Pros

Easy to navigate. Available on multiple devices making life a lot easier for me.

Cons

Even though I have been using RMS for 12 years and I realise that there have been many improvements. I still have trouble when setting up new tariffs.

The best part about RMS is the 'owner accounting' We manage multiple holiday homes owned by different owners and the reports you are able to generate are very useful

Cons

It would be great if the backend system was easier to use on a mobile phone but we understand this would be very complex

Each support team has a different way of setting things up...once you get used to the one way and you call in for a similar issue, the next person takes the long way around to solving the problem

Each country have its own sets of requirements and different kinds of user base, most of updates are Australia or NZ specific. Indian User requirements are understood but yet very slow development on software front.

my over all experience with RMS is excellent. we are so relax to produce reports, tracking transactions. we highly recommend this to you.

Pros

The tool is extremely easy to use and you can use the way you want to use. You may have tried other well known software for your business but i highly recommend you to try RMs once. and once you use it i am sure you will refer it to others.

Cons

The software at first is a bit difficult to use and train user but as compare to other software it still best and takes less time to train the users

Pros

I am able to solve my issue with the aid of your staff member guiding me step by step so I am learning as I go.

Cons

There are too many pop up windows and sometimes they are very had to get rid of and they block where you need to go when making a booking.

The support at RMS is excellent. Response times are very good when submitting a problem and the customer service officers are friendly and very helpful.

Pros

In regards to 9+ there are many reports that give good information about statistics and trends in the business.

Cons

Since upgrading to RMS9+ we have found that this cloud based system is totally unsuitable to our satellite based internet system. We ran the RMS self hosted system previously and we were totally happy with that until it was It was no longer supported and we were left no choice but to upgrade to a system that does not suit our business needs. So RMS 9+ is slow and non responsive for us.

Customer service is excellent (very friendly and easy to approach), and in the rare case the appointed rms represantative can's solve the problem or answer your question immediately it never takes long for them to get back with an answer.

Cons

Setup new properties can be confusing as it is not all in one area.
