Our experience with Planting Nursery was to implement an integration with our Potting Machine System. Our gateways update every scheduled transaction in Planting Nursery when sensors detect potted trays in the watering line. We also implemented the Planting Nursery scouting App in one of our customers. Pros As every web based system, the ability to access the software wherever you are, the only thing you need is a web browser. When the user register a Production Plan, automatically the system generates all production tasks, resource requirements and purchase requirements based on every Bill of Resource. The availability control at the field is in real time, so every seller knows the exact available quantity at the field. Plant inventory, Spray records, The scouting system for pest that are destroying plants is very proactive, managers and supervisors receive alerts if some bugs are found or if their teams have pending tasks. The Quick books integration is very useful because you avoid all double entry . Cons The system does not have Production Plan at Assortment level, so every plant have to be defined at variety level. For wholesaler nurseries the system is very good, but for small retailer garden centers the system does not have a strong point of sales with loyalty programs, gift cards, offers, price with effective dates and so on. Reasons for choosing Planting Nursery We think the price is very competitive. If you take a look at similar systems in the market the price is much lower than the rest. As a implementation company, we looked into the used technology, and I can tell they are using very advanced tech. In the back-end, a service bus backed by a rock-solid distributed development methodology. In the front-end they are using React implementation and for mobile Apps they are using React-Native therefore the scalability is so easy.
