Pros

  • The most impressive thing is that tools like API, widgets and the opportunity to customize your page and links are included also in the basic plan.

  • Product performs well, great messaging and help to get me to use all of the features of the product. Sales and support were extremely pleasant, never pushy, and allowed me to go at my own pace.

  • The segmentation makes it super simple to ensure you're only reaching the people you want with each and every communication.

  • This gives us ample time to polish and make updates for our customers. Our customers love the ability to subscribe to the updates they care about - which really helps with our engagement.

Cons

  • I couldn't do my job without this tool. We wasted a lot of time on a number of different potential solutions, but everything finally fell into place when we adopted LaunchNotes.

  • The only con we've run up against is the lack of email customization.

  • I'm actually shocked that no one built something like LaunchNotes sooner.

  • Before this, our information was decoupled, in Slack, Confluence, emails... no one knew where to find information about what's coming up and what's changed.

"Indispensable tool for getting to product-market fit"

Overall: I was very happy with it, it filled a previously missing piece in our customer engagement stack, and it undoubtedly increased our NPS score with our customers by giving us such clear and high quality communication channels with them.

Pros: We gathered very high quality feedback on our roadmap and release planning via LaunchNotes. It helped us to prioritize the right things with our customers, and clearly communicate what was going on with our product to them. It was a great two-way communication channel between us and our customers, and it proved to be indispensable to us as we grew our customer base.

Cons: Early on it lacked some features and functionality, and so we had to buy other tools to fill the gaps. Over time we wound up replacing these tools with LaunchNotes as the product developed more.

Alternatives Considered: HubSpot Marketing Hub
Reasons for Choosing LaunchNotes: LaunchNotes was more targeted towards our specific use case and was operated by our product development team (and not a marketer)
Switched From: Productboard
Reasons for Switching to LaunchNotes: Productboard was overly bloated with features we didn't need, it lacked some key integrations, and it was way too expensive

"Great experience using launchnotes to communicate product roadmap to internal teams"

Pros: -Intuitive, easy to use and dynamic solution for communicating about product development -The roadmap is visually engaging. It's suitable for sharing both internally or externally -Helps to establish and maintain a culture of transparency and openness and keep everyone aligned on product goals and timelines. -Integrates with Jira, providing real-time updates from the development team that can be incorporated into the roadmap. -It's customizable so we can tailor the roadmap to specific project needs & audience preferences.

Cons: Have so far had a really good experience w/ the product and team!

"Easy to use"

Overall: We use launchnotes to share feature deliveries with our customers when they occur. This is not the type of content we would include in our marketing comms, as it tends to be quite functional. Launchnotes provides the consistent and expected space to do so.

Pros: LaunchNotes is easy to get your head around and navigate. The product is simple, yet very powerful. It's really well suited for maintaining and sharing your delivery roadmap with your customers. The announcements feature is straightforward, You can maintain a delivery roadmap for multiple products and also by theme, which is helpful as some deliveries might touch multiple products.

Cons: There is nothing that I dislike about it. Its pretty straightforward. We're underutilizing it.

"Great product!"

Pros: LaunchNotes is an awesome platform for tracking change management, product updates, and features. We've used it to track our product innovation for customers and prospects, and it's great to have a single hub to direct everyone to.

Cons: Launchnotes is amazing, but could work on being able to create separate login experiences for users (i.e. customers only on one product).
