I think it is really a good software. I wish all the food industries had this in the software Pros I like that it is easy to use and basically get everything in one place. I also like that it is super advanced. I have recommended this to a lot of other food manufacturing company about this. Cons Ther is a steep learning curve. I wish it was very beginner friendly. Pros Collecting data in a digital format, less physical papers. Cons There are some features that are under-developed, particularly in the OEE section. Setting up the system is not as user friendly as it could be, it is not intuitive. Pros I like the customizability and ease of use as well as the amount of decrease in paper forms that are being used. Cons If your internet connection is not strong it can be problematic to upload the submissions. I also do not like the hidden resubmit button in the app for when there is a submission stuck in pending. I would rather have a visible button. Individuals at our company delayed implementation multiple times, but Safetychain has been nothing but accommodating. Pros The ton of options the software provides coupled with the excellent support that is provided. It has allowed us to move paper records (plenty more to come) to digital which improved efficiency. Cons I wish there was a way to have non "live" data so you can go back and complete a form later. I understand the importance of live data but it would help us greatly to have this option. Pros The customer service team. They want you to push it past it's limit so they can improve it. Their team has quality and compliance experience. Cons Like lots of softwares, it take too long to load. That gets frustrating, but it's very worth it. All softwares take time to load. The safetychain support has been very helpful every step of the way Pros Safetychain provides faster reviewing and real time data. It makes auditing much simpler and auditors like it. Cons Some features still have room to be more user friendly. We have noticed some persistent bugs with timing out when building forms that have yet to be resolved. It definitely a change for the better for my company. Pros The support that I've receive throughout the process has been fantastic. The support team make you feel that you're not transitioning alone when starting to used the software. Safety Chain is used for document management. Using the software this way, it eliminates the long paper process that we had in the past Cons The amount of emails when a supplier is overdue is just a small issue with the software. Cons There are some key features in Safety Chain that need updates to make them more effective- Cases is one of the tools that is highly worthwhile for use but does not currently have the right usability features. The charting tool is not very user friendly and it is not easy to determine form design for end data viewability when creating new use cases. I worked with Plant View at Tyson so I am anxious to see how this one compares and what improvements there are with this platform compared to plant view. Pros Safety chain is very robust and we have only scratched the surface of what it will do for us. I look forward to what I can learn here and take back and apply to our system. Cons I would like to see some hands on training that could be done either off or on site. From time to time we have new users and like myself we have to just figure out what Safety Chain can do. Cons Forms designer feature needs more options to make the editions faster, one example is the alphabetization of lists included in the "element properties" segment of the form.
