I use Bright Data for complex web scraping, which helps us prepare for conferences by tracking and comparing competitor data. It enables effective automation, accessing data on a large scale, and supports different geographical data needs, enhancing growth strategy and saving time. I appreciate its low error rate, trend awareness, and its ease of use for non-technical users. The pricing, functionality, and error management are satisfactory, and I’m pleased compared to other solutions. I rate it a 10 out of 10 for recommendation.

Pros

I really like that Bright Data has a much lower error rate compared to other solutions available. They keep up with trends well by developing new features like MCP, which seems promising. Their AI functionality is really helpful for building automations and they make it easy for non-techy people like me to get into web scraping easier. It’s great that they've lowered the barrier for using their service. The price is also at a good level, which I appreciate.

Cons

As long as the scraping error volumes are low and the price is affordable, it's totally fine to live with.

Bright data's web unlocker and proxy products claimed to unlock hard to scrape websites... in reality this was not the case as it had a very high failure rate and I was charged for unsuccessful queries.

Pros

Nothing. Initially their web unlocker and proxy products worked great for our use case.... But over the course of a year their products have degraded rapidly, and now face high data fetching failure rates.

Cons

I found the documentation lacking in clear example use cases, which made setting up difficult. Despite using Bright Data to collect e-commerce data, I feel it fails in making the process easier. The scraping browser API, while promising in theory, does not perform well in practice. Over time, the product's performance has degraded significantly, leading to a high error rate. I am also frustrated by being charged for results that I did not receive back.

I orginally switched from scrapingbee + scrapingany after bright data claimed to have higher data fetching success rates. This ended up not being the case. The failure rate was very high and I was charged for queries that did not return real data (but instead blocked webpage popups).

This level of mismanagement and lack of communication is completely unacceptable. If this is how they handle basic coordination, I can’t imagine how they deal with more important matters. I would not recommend relying on them if you expect professionalism and accountability. Avoid if you value your time.

Nothing yet. Totally disappointed on the customer service.

Cons

had an incredibly frustrating experience with Bright Data. I was flagged for no reason whatsoever, despite not even having used the service a single time. To make matters worse, a scheduled Google Meet was canceled without any prior notice or explanation.

Very positive, good account management and the uptime and configuration of the service is very good. They have plenty of different but related services on offer too such as the Web unblocker.

Pros

I really like the flexibility of the proxy credentials allowing me to specific configuration options as part of the username, makes it easy to configure and reconfigure such as country or session id.

Cons

They're the premium end of the proxy market so not always the cheapest.

Mi experiencia con BrightData fue muy agradable ya que en su momento, ayudo a solventar los problemas de bloqueo en ciertos sitios web. Por otro lado, la atención al cliente siempre fue muy atenta y eficaz.

Pros

Que reúne dentro de sí una gran variedad de funcionalidades, servicios y soluciones, las cuales son muy sencillas de implementar y comenzar a utilizar

Cons

Me parece que el servicio de WebUnlocker puede mejorar en ciertos aspectos como el hecho de incorporar ciertas funcionalidades que otras apis del mercado ya manejan como la renderización de js y demás.

Cons

Um aspecto que identifiquei como uma oportunidade de melhoria está relacionado à resolução de captchas, especialmente os tipos V3 e HCaptcha. Observei que esses captchas não foram solucionados de acordo com o esperado, o que acabou sendo um impedimento para algumas das nossas atividades de coleta de dados.
