We use this program and depend on it to manage our fleet, and perform our daily route deliveries. Groundcloud is accurate and easily accessible.

Pros

We use Groundcloud daily for our business. The drivers use it to plan their routes, and navigate through the day. Back office uses the the fleet map feature to get up to the minute information on where each truck is and how many packages have been delivered per driver.

Cons

When monitoring cameras, there is about a 30-40 second delay in real time.

I was new to this industry and my first implementation was to add this software to my fleet and immediately improved deliveries and time with accurate directions and ease of use. It made training and new drivers excel at a quicker pace than the previous routing system.

Pros

Highly accurate turn by turn directions for any driver to step into an area they've never been in and excel. The ability to move stops to another driver and manipulate the routing is key to a lot of my drivers. Also, the ability to see where every driver was located at any given time is critical for me and my management.

Cons

I am sure there are cons, but I can't think of any at the moment.

I like the customer service. I am always able to talk to someone when needed.

Pros

The tracking is a great feature. Also the digital hand sheets were a lifesaver.

The cost is a bit high for what i use it for

It’s been a game changer for us. It takes the thinking about how to the job down quite a bit so we can focus more on driving and delivering safely. I’d recommend it to anyone who’s skeptical, and I’m not alone on that.

Pros

The list is long, but to put it simply, it’s a fantastic program. It makes training new hires much more efficiently, safely, and quickly. Helps all drivers simplify their routes to run them as best as possible for them.

Cons

Not really anything I don’t like about it to be honest. The GPS tracking of drivers on the road on the .io could use some improvement to help better track in real time, but not a huge negative.

I have had an overall good experience. All of my drivers use the program everyday with very few issues.

Pros

I really love the fact that I can set up the pre and post checks for my drivers so that they get the reminder and also can be held accountable for not doing the checks. Also love the fact with being able to map your route out the way that you would like to run it makes it easy to run any route you are assigned to. Another pro is the safety test have to be completed before a driver can see the map.

Cons

I feel like the timecard and approval should be available in the base version vs now it is only used in the pro. I need the time clock for my business. It was easier to use when it was part of the base program.

The GC platform and customer support is excellent.

Pros

Fleet, route and driver management all integrated into one platform.

Cons

Stop plotting and best road direction to drive on route for optimum efficiency are sometimes still suspect for use for new drivers not familiar with area.

We honestly could not imagine running our routes/business without GroundCloud. We hear stories from other contractors about the "Good 'ole days" and cringe every time we think about using anything other than GC.

Pros

Route Planning is a breeze with GC. Whether you want to route each individual stop or let GC route it the most optimal way- GC does both effortlessly. Adding new drivers and getting them up to speed is very easy thanks to a top-notch app and user interface that is intuitive and user-friendly.

Cons

Drivers using the turn-by-turn mapping feature have to remember to remap the stop if they want to break route to deliver a different stop; otherwise, the mapping feature will still be taking them to the originally routed stop.

GC has drastically improved the efficiencies in my business and driven larger margins. I has helped my managers stay more organized and top of the important contract aspects I want them focused on.

Pros

All in one app, do not have to use anything else to manage my business end to end. Routing, tracking, compliance, etc.

Cons

Better apartment routing option. Subzones are great for business suites and gates codes, etc. However it is not the greatest solution for apartment routing.

Reasons for choosing GroundCloud

I wanted a hands free option that addressed all FedEx compliance issues, plus an option that would evolve with ever the changing P&D business, which GC has.

I was skeptical at first when the owners announced we were trying a Route Optimization Product. Before we were using physicals maps and phone mapping systems that worked well inside cities, but not so much when it came to rural areas and Private Roads. After a few weeks with GroundCloud I noticed that all drivers were able to increase their workload and reduce their delivery day, because they were not spending time having to organize the vehicles or saving addresses to their phone mapping system. GroundCloud has been a huge time saver in delivering, training, and vehicle maintenance and there is a huge amount of stress added when the GroundCloud App is not working, but that is extremely unlikely and whatever the issue is they are quick to respond and find a solution to get it working as soon as they can.

Pros

With YouTube videos and Driver Training Course it very easy to set forth expectations for new and current drivers. Training drivers on new routes has never been easier due to GroundCloud App being simple to use.

Cons

Having a Signature block to have drivers get while at deliveries would be so helpful. Being able to label each delivery's location such as front door, garage, gate, met customer, etc. would be great in case our main scanner malfunctioned.
