It helps keep drawings and documents organized and makes teamwork easier. Once you spend some time using it, it becomes a reliable tool for daily project work. Pros Trimble Connect is easy to use once you get used to it. It’s very helpful for sharing drawings and files with the team in one place. Everyone can see the latest version, which avoids confusion on site. Being able to access files from both the office and the field is a big plus. Cons At first, it can feel a bit confusing, especially for new users. Some tools are not very obvious and take time to learn. It can also be a little slow when working with large files. Pros I can clip out small areas of the BIM model and export to the Trimble TSC5 survey controller. Cons After installing the desktop version , your will work out that the software wont run unless you have an active internet connection. If you need to get some critical information out of the BIM model then you are going to have a problem. Reasons for choosing Trimble Connect The project im building has been designed in BIM. There are no CAD files to upload into the controler so I have to use Trimble Connect. There is no alternative. I've been using Sketchup and Trimble Connect for more than 2 years, and each time I'm in a rushing project, it helps me much to get my works easier. Cons It depends on internet connection. It's not every time I work in the grid, and for some reasons I can't connect to the internet on my working sites and makes the software unusable.
