Pros Prometheus makes metric view seemless and integrates easily with Grafana for more visualizations. Easy to use and great app Cons Can be daunting initially but becomes easier once you understand the documentation. Prometheus UI might not be best as well. It provides a powerful query language to retrieve and analyze data in a flexible way.3. It has a large and active community so all your queries will be answered.4. It is quite easy to use and setup as it has very clear documentation. Cons Every software has its cons, some of Prometheus' are below:1. It is resource intensive and it hogs on system memory.2. It is easy to use but has a steep learning curve.3. It has limited visualisation options and are basic.4. It is not robust in distributed tracing category as compared to other monitoring solutions. The only thing necessary is to customize the Prometheus metrics that you want to track in every project. Pros We were in need of a tool that can track metrics in any project, independently of the programming language on which it was built. You can integrate the exposed tracked metrics as endpoints and consume them in any graphic dashboard to visualize the results in real time. The service includes a variety of customizable wrappers for any metric. Cons There is a learning path you have to follow before implementing Prometheus, which also includes third-party software for building graphic dashboards in order to visualize the metrics. Pros Prometheus is extremely flexible with what it can ingest, it opens all kinds of doors. Cons It can be difficult to implement although the community support is there it will require work.
