Pros Taking screenshots and editing them is really easy using the app. It also supports recording the screen, long screenshots, and much more. I use it frequently to generate screenshots for software user manuals. Snagit editor is really helpful to add various shapes, merge images, hide areas and certain texts, and much more. And: sometimes I combine 1-5 screenshots in one picture to give a short step-by-step-guidance in one picture. This is easy todo with snagit! Really easy! Pros Greatest advantage is the easy selection of the frame and the automatic postproduction (mostly: add a border in the color of the story). Cons sometimes the floating bar is in the way and suddenly pops up where I don´t want it to pop-up. I use it to capture demonstrations of my software running, which prevents me from needing to schedule demonstration meetings as often. Pros Snagit helps me efficiently capture screenshots and screen video in ways I could not with the Windows Snipping Tool. The interface is sleek and slim, making the extensive suite of features easy to navigate. Cons Heavy photoshopping with the photoshop suite of features occasionally causes the screen capture to clip unexpectedly. Saving often is recommended to get the result you want. Preset is great functionality that allows user use the software efficiently. Pros The best thing about this when user takes the screenshot they are automatically saved in the Library. Pros I use the text grab feature the most -- this is a game changer. So many people lose the original source files for text files, and sometimes the text grab feature is the only thing that works.
