I love that you can do everything within the same software. Motion graphics, clips editing, 3D animations... you name it! I specially love the node base editing, it's a game changer. Cons The adaptation period coming from Premiere can be painful. You need to be ok with being slower in your work for a few weeks until you learn how to take advantage of this software. So far, I'm pleasantly surprised at what you can do in this editor. I think he can easily rank among professional video editors such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc. Pros For me as an amateur, it was not at all difficult to learn to orient in the editor within a few hours. It offers many features that you will come across by gradually improving your skills in editing and trying new things. Cons Some users may be deterred by the many features that DaVinci Resolve offers. For less technically proficient users, I would recommend starting with a simpler editor first. The editor is not so well optimized. My gaming laptop is powerful enough to handle difficult tasks but had problems rendering 3D text in the video. I move from Power Director which is easy, just drag & drop render done, Davinci Resolve is for Professional use video editing user, still drag and drop but there are many variable to consider (frame rate, res, preview res) - rendering, sometime need can stop mid way if you use a lot of transition, there's a setting for that. - rendering doesnt fully use the available ram, i am using i7 dual channel 16GB ddr5, but when rendering only took 3gigs, even though i permit it to use all of it. - workflow, inconsistency and slow loading preview rendering for high-res editing. Pros Renderiza bastante rápido, aunque para eso hay que tener mucha memoria RAM y un buen ordenador, claramente. Pero parece bastante bien optimizado (W10 y procesador Intel en mi caso), a simple vista puede parecer 'sencillo' por tener todas las opciones compartimentadas, pero en realidad es muy complejo, aunque no es tan difícil de aprender, todo hay que decirlo. Cons Una pena que debas comprar la licencia profesional para editar vídeos en 4K, cuando poco a poco se va estandarizando, es bastante caro (como todo lo de diseño). La curva de aprendizaje es compleja. Incredibly I stumbled upon this totally professional recording studio app and it's free of charge. Professional controls that edit down to the smallest detail, multitrack, with multiple effects, transitions, etc... Everything you want to edit a video and give it a totally professional look. Cons It has a slow learning curve and you must also have some prior knowledge of video aspects. You cannot come to this application from scratch. I can't see myself ever going back to an Adobe product. Pros Incredibly powerful tool - the node-based approach takes a while to get used to if you're familiar with adjustment layers, but once you get your head around it, it's fantastic. The value of what Davinci provides is just outstanding. Cons Can take a while to learn, and user experience is not always as intuitive as it could be.
