Also the arrangement of Rguroo menus mirrors the order in which I go through elementary statistics topics with my students. Cons I wish that Rguroo allowed for fractions as data entry values. Pros Ease of use - point click menus and powerfulness of R Cons Some graphs are not easily exported to word document Switched from [Minitab](https://www.capterra.com/p/109731/Minitab-Statistical-Software/) My students had hard time with the installation of Minitab and Rguroo, being a web-base platform, was a great substitute. My lower level students do have issues with their user experience, initially, but there is probably no product that is user-friendly enough! Pros It is inexpensive, and has all the tools for beginning statistics courses and beyond. The ability to create groups and repositories is very useful. Inclusion of some Web applets is a nice feature. That it is Web-based, so functional on all devices including phones, helps meets the needs of my students. Cons The Normal Probability Plot should be included in the "Plots" tab. Needs better messaging for some error conditions. Specifically, when the user is timed out, they should receive a pop-up. Many times I've done work, sometimes a good amount, such as editing a dataset, and I lose that work while finding out that I've been timed out only when I press the "Save As" button or something like that. Entering data is cumbersome, with all of the double-clicking required, but I've heard that is currently being improved. Reason for choosing Rguroo It contained all of the right tools for my course, was reasonably priced, and being based on the R language that I have programmed with, it gave me some immediate familiarity. It has also been a great alternative to R programming. Pros Rguroo's capabilities in calculating probabilities, creating beautiful and interactive graphs, it's reproducibility and accessibility feature. Cons This software does not have many cons. The multiple representations when you are teaching distributions and probabilities is very helpful. Pros The ease of use for teaching. I like that with just a few clicks you can do a statistical analysis. Also appreciate the amount of dataset included within RGuroo. It makes it easier to do projects in a statistics course. Cons It's lack of connection with Knewton homework. It's very dificult to use RGuroo when the assignments do not include instructions, explanations, feedback related to RGuroo. We have had many issues with rounding with using RGuroo to complete Knewton homework. Pros Rguroo is a great software that really greatly facilitates the use of R. It offers a very intuitive interface that eliminates the need for complex coding. My students are not fully prepared to work directly in R and Rguroo is the perfect transitional experience for students without programming knowledge. They can successfully analyze data and conduct statistical inference without coding which was exactly what I was looking for an introductory course. In addition, is it simple to share multiple data sets with my courses. Cons Overall, I am very happy with Rguroo. The program actually has everything I need it to have to complete all my assessments. April 9, 2023 5.0 I enjoy the simple user experience with Rguroo and wonderful support from the Rguroo staff and team, always quick to help me and my students. Pros I liked the ease of using Rguroo for my statistics classes. It really saved my students a lot of time in any of their statistical graphs and calculations so now I use it every semester.
