At the beginning QlikView and now their new product QlikSense as well. When QlikView was revolutionary in the past then now the QlikSense is quite the same situation. Product have intuitive user interface and allows powerful data insights even not too experienced business user. Doing the visualizations in QlikSense is easier than even in Excel. Pros Easy to use. Personal Edition is free - it's good for evaluating and testing product for different areas (even for personal needs like getting overview about physical activities or personal finance etc.) Cons Some powerful functions are missing comparing with QlikView but fortunately the product develops so quickly that I'm not worrying about that quite much :-). It has a lot of data connection provider (also twitter, facebook and so on), and the setup it's quick and easy. Cons REally nothing. the software is great. just some little bug in the earlier version, in the console management for the server version, but nothing of really important. With this great software You have fast analysis, great interactive dashboards and also cool maps. It's also cool Qlik Branch, where we've found a lot of cool extensions to use in our dashboards. With Qlik View we could take our first steps in real data analysis and we are now ready to start over with Qlik Sense very soon which will make our analysis much more interactive and collaborative. Pros Qlik Sense has some really nice new visualizations that we do not have in Qlik View. It further brings us the possibility to have a real self service BI environment. Qlik has a very fast product development so that we are sure that we can grow further with Qlik Sense. Besides, it is really nice how you can use SQL requests to map the specific data to the diagrams you need Cons I think Information Architecture of the app could have been more constructive, it doesn't work well with Safari, so it is preferable to switch to another browser. It is very easy and simple to upload personal data and to create tables and graphs. There is not much of a learning curve and is very quick to pick up. Cons Depending on which extensions you have been using maybe some of theme not work in the last version and you need to wait for the developer to upgrade them but many other are ok you can check hem out in qlik market. Pros I really liked the automatic capabilities that this tool have: -IQ Insights: it generates automatic relevant insights in the data that you upload to the model. -Recommended associations: it generates automatic associations in the data tables that you upload, so you can create data models in a fast way. Cons I didn't like that it's not so easy to use like other BI tools. Furthermore, it's somehow hard to give the desirable aesthetics/format to your visuals.
