I can create broadcasts, manage tags and fields, check subscriber data and build sequences straight from my AI assistant. No other email tool I have tried comes close on this front. The automation side is powerful too: flows, events and the batch API give you a lot of flexibility, and the team ships improvements fast. Support is responsive and the pricing is fair for what you get. Pros MCP integration lets you manage almost everything through AI tools. Flexible flows and event-based automations. September 7, 2026 5.0 Bento has been a breath of fresh air compared to the previous ESP we used. Has a ton more features that has enabled me to provide a better experience to our readers. Being able to talk directly to the founder has also been incredible. Feature requests can get implemented within an hour sometimes. Pros I migrated from our old ESP to Bento because I needed way more control over the overall experience that I could deliver to our subscribers. I also needed granular control over sending times with high batch rates. The support that Bento offers made this migration a breeze and I'm a very happy customer. Cons Bit of a learning curve with the UI but to be honest wasn't really a massive problem in the end. Nowadays I mostly feel like I'm not getting the full benefit from it yet because I haven't tried all of it's features. It still doesn’t have everything I need yet, but the team already has it on their roadmap - and I still haven’t explored all the system’s features myself. Pros Email deliverability: my emails don’t end up coming from banned IPs! I’m still struggling a bit with email HTML/layout, but much less than before, and their new AI features do help. The product is genuinely evolving, and you can actually influence the roadmap. With the proper event-based approach and a clear focus on SaaS, I honestly don’t see any real alternatives to them (at least for now). Its easy to just send one off emails or use AI to build more advanced flows to build out a customer journey. It's a great product however I think they should hire one or more staff/ambassadors that help create more video tutorials or help guides for best practices when setting up flows, campaigns and broadcasts. The set up process for tracking is easy. Creating a flow is really awesome once you get the hang of it. Theres a lot of features in Bento that is impressive. Cons Takes a while to understand and set up. The trial was not enough time for me to fully understand and use the product as a one man business owner. I tried to get a demo walkthrough but it got cancelled. Would probably need some more staff that do demos of the product, or have more video tutorials showcasing how to set things up. I started off using them with 1 of my websites but I'm going to use them for all of my websites now. The customer support is top notch which makes it an easy choice. Pros Bento is highly focused on email deliverability. There's a ton of things within that app that prevent you from common gotchas I've ran into on other platforms. You can broadcast out emails to your entire email list, and you can setup flows for email automation. Bento has all of the features you would expect from an email marketing platform, but the standout thing to me is the customer service. You essentially get 1:1 support from the creator of Bento, and if you ever have a problem you'll always get a response. Email is deceptively complicated so having this level of customer support puts it by above every other email platform. Cons There's only one con, and that it took me a bit to learn the platform. It's not as simple as going in there and sending emails (which is expected). You'll need to take some time watching the onboarding videos and setting up your flows and forms. Pros Moving to Bento felt like stepping out of the past and into something built from the ground up for where things are headed. The deliverability has been noticeably better, and the value for what I'm paying is hard to argue with. But the thing that really won me over... the AI flow builder is fantastic. It's the kind of tool that makes you rethink what an automation platform can be. It doesn't feel bolted on. It feels native to the whole experience. And then there's the support, which was honestly the best I've ever had. It doesn't feel like dealing with a giant publicly traded company. That was important to me, coming from a very old platform that is struggling to update and stay relevant as things change. The price was incredibly competitive and simple.
