### "Great product - huge value, ease of use"

August 19, 2026

5.0

It's been great from the beginning. My other solutions had no API/MCP access, and Bento is super easy to integrate and to get rolling

Pros

Easy to use and integrate with Claude for automating marketing communications, helping me to stay on track with my weekly outreach

Cons

Moving from another product to Bento was difficult to find everything at first, but once I did it was great

### "Easy email software for the detail obsessed! "

August 7, 2026

5.0

Really like it, team is great. The actual software works really well and it's a fun dashboard to work on. I like the attention to detail, you can see it was built with love

Pros

The API and MCP, basically you can connect it to your Codex/Cursor and manage it 100% from there. Including the set up and DNS records. Another thing I really like is the flow capabilities. You can set Slack notifications, special triggers for user behavior etc etc

Cons

Navigation can get a bit complex, I will be working in the app and suddenly find myself somewhere and not exactly sure how I got there (eg: Inspecting emails in a sequence)

### "Early success"

March 19, 2026

5.0

We have only been using Bento for a short while but have already made the decision to integrate with our application. The support has been fantastic!

Pros

We love the simple interface and logical steps for creating automated email flows and campaigns. Having a deep integration with our application makes segmenting audiences simple.

Cons

The AI integration can sometimes be hard to convey our wants to. It can mid-understand our desired outcome.

### "Finally, an email platform that feels built for the future"

June 11, 2026

5.0

Switching platforms is never something you take lightly, especially when your whole business runs through it. Bento made it feel easy, and more than that, it made me feel like I'd found the right home. Five stars, and I mean it.

Pros

Moving to Bento felt like stepping out of the past and into something built from the ground up for where things are headed. The deliverability has been noticeably better, and the value for what I'm paying is hard to argue with. But the thing that really won me over... the AI flow builder is fantastic. It's the kind of tool that makes you rethink what an automation platform can be. It doesn't feel bolted on. It feels native to the whole experience. And then there's the support, which was honestly the best I've ever had. It doesn't feel like dealing with a giant publicly traded company. It feels like the kind of company I run myself, with an \[sensitive content hidden\] who cares as much as I do. I care a lot about my subscribers and the people I'm trying to help... and Bento gives me that same warm feeling, like I'm part of something, and that the \[sensitive content hidden\] care just as much. That's a rare thing to find these days, and it makes me feel good about being here. I'm excited for where it's going to grow from here, even though it's already at an amazing place.

Cons

Nothing major, honestly. I went in fully expecting the usual migration headaches you get when switching platforms, and I just didn't hit them. If I'm reaching for something, I'm still getting my head wrapped around the new approach... but it's well worth the investment in time, because it'll pay off big time in the long run.

Reason for choosing Bento

I think you need to talk to the owner. What first started winning me over was the feeling that he cared about his company in a way that I do. The more I looked at the features, the more I realized they were built in a new way, and it feels like it’s set up to do really well in the future. That was important to me, coming from a very old platform that is struggling to update and stay relevant as things change. The price was incredibly competitive and simple.

Switched from

I wanted a more modern platform with better AI integration, better deliverability, better contact engagement management, and better spam filtering. Other tools were missing a lot of those features, and I often had to buy additional subscriptions outside of it to fill its gaps.

### "Really cool for SAAS"

January 18, 2026

5.0

I’ve worked with several email marketing platforms, and this one is the most flexible and most sensible. It still doesn’t have everything I need yet, but the team already has it on their roadmap - and I still haven’t explored all the system’s features myself.

Pros

Email deliverability: my emails don’t end up coming from banned IPs! I’m still struggling a bit with email HTML/layout, but much less than before, and their new AI features do help. The product is genuinely evolving, and you can actually influence the roadmap. With the proper event-based approach and a clear focus on SaaS, I honestly don’t see any real alternatives to them (at least for now).

Cons

What I liked the least was their .NET SDK, but I extended/fixed it myself and now everything’s fine.

### "Great value, powerful email platform"

December 16, 2025

5.0

Very positive overall. Once set up, the platform is easy to work with, reliable, and flexible. The combination of automation, data management, and email capabilities makes it a strong long-term solution for our needs.

Pros

Excellent value for the amount of functionality you get. Bento handles marketing and transactional emails in one place, with strong automation options and solid email management. It replaced several tools for us.

Cons

Nothing in particular stood out as a downside. Because the platform offers so many features, it takes some time to explore everything it can do.

### "Finally the email marketing platform I've been searching for"

January 16, 2026

Bento allowed me to get started quickly with a new project, and integrate both life cycle and event based email very quickly for my new SaaS application. Developer documentation was very strong, and the UI was very clear.

Pros

Bento is a fantastic email and marketing automation tool. It gives you everything that you need, in a great looking design and thoughtfully crafted application. You can tell that they're on the cutting edge of marketing and SaaS with this product

Cons

### "A very very good email service provider"

January 15, 2026

5.0

Pros

Bento is amazing once you get familiar with how everything fits together. The onboarding is very good, and the UI becomes genuinely enjoyable once you wrap your head around the logic. The internal AI tool for building flows is a fantastic feature and makes experimentation far easier than expected. Analytics are great, and the pricing feels very fair for what you get.

Cons

It can feel a little overwhelming at first, especially if you are new to email service providers or automation tools. That said, this is softened a lot by their excellent onboarding experience. The free onboarding call is genuinely helpful, and the support team often, the \[sensitive content hidden\] is always available, which makes the early learning curve much less intimidating.

### "Reliable email platform, does the job well"

July 28, 2026

5.0

I've used Bento for a while now to run my new newsletter, and it's held up very well. The automation and tagging tools are solid once you get your head round them, and email deliverability has been very consistent, which matters more than people realise. The interface takes a bit of getting used to and isn't always intuitive, but support has been very responsive on discord when I've hit snags. It does what I need without a lot of fuss, and I'd recommend it to anyone running a small, focused list.

Pros

Excellent AI integration from Claude Code. Great deliverability. Automation and tagging features work well once you're set up. It handles a weekly newsletter without any drama, which is really what I need.

Cons

UI could be a bit more polished. I can't see scrollbars in Chrome sometimes, but it's no biggie because I'm generally working via their API.

### "The first email marketing provider that worked for me because of their support"

September 13, 2025

5.0

After trying a bunch of email marketing tools the past 2 years, I'm sticking with Bento. It just works for me. If you use Laravel, it's a no brainer - they have really good integration.

Pros

Their customer support is incredible. I've done email marketing before, but there are always lots of questions, and you literally have a line to the founder. I signed up about a month ago, and I think they have me for life.

Cons

The UI is pretty good, but there are bits that could use polish, specifically editing many users at once. But again, it's good.

### "The best CRM I've had the pleasure to use"

December 8, 2024

Excellent. The features I need without the crazy price tag.

Pros

Easy to set up, the feature set they make available to you without hiding stuff behind a crazy expensive paywall is a delight. The customer support in getting set up has been top-notch. A platform you can tell the people running it truly care about.

Cons

Had a couple of issues with a non-standard implementation and getting custom events tracked from a Woocommerce subscription plugin, but with a bit of help from their excellent documentation, I was able to resolve this.

### "Feature Packed ESP with Strong Pricing + The Best Customer Support"

July 26, 2023

5.0

Pros

Bento is a unicorn in my eyes: you have a beautiful, highly-functional product that is backed by a support team that replies faster than you can blink. When comparing to others like Mailchimp or HubSpot, Bento is 100x faster both in physical page load time but is also more simple. The product just makes sense.Bento is something that I actually enjoy spending time in now because of how perfectly it's been crafted. It also integrates easily with Zapier to cover pretty much any other platform Bento doesn't have a native integration with. Powerful stuff!

Cons

It's important to know that Bento has a really fast speed at which they make product updates. Personally, I love it! For some that may be used to more enterprise heavy software, you'll be glancing at the change-log here a bit more often to stay up to speed. Just something to keep yourself and your team in the loop about.

Bento made it incredibly easy to migrate my two established lists/businesses in. I was able to move across my subscribers and \[sensitive content hidden\] (\[sensitive content hidden\]) helped migrate the automations as part of their VIP onboarding process. Since starting to use Bento, I've loved the software more and more and more. A+ experience, I keep referring my friends.

Pros

### "Favorite email campaign software by far"

May 13, 2024

5.0

Pros

What I love most about Bento is the personal touch and support from the Founder, power and flexibility of the campaign management features, brisk and responsive development speed, and overall insanely high value for the money. It's a product that, in my opinion, is built with love and a deep care for quality tooling.

Cons

The only real downsides so far for us are that because of the complexity (that enables so much functionality) onboarding team members, and even getting an initial grasp of the 'Bento way', can be a little more involved than it might be otherwise. I would not change that, though.

### "Strong deliverability, great support"

October 15, 2025

I run a SaaS and use Bento for onboarding, webinar reminders, receipts, and win-backs. Migration took a day. After switching, inbox placement went up and stays there—deliverability is the reason I’m here.

Pros

Deliverability is 100% for me. Emails land in the inbox, not Spam. Domain setup (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) was simple, and reputation stays clean. Support replies very fast with real fixes, not scripts. Good value.

Cons

A bit more detail can be added documentation but that is not a problem, they are always helping 24/7 when you have problems.

### "The Developer-First Email Platform You're Missing"

August 7, 2023

5.0

I use Bento primarily to keep track of events that happen within my application. Then, I use those events to send emails to my users or to just make sure I know how my users are using my platform. Additionally, I use the simple customer support tools within Bento to answer support chats/emails directly in Slack.

Pros

Bento is incredibly simple. As a developer, I was able to set up Bento on multiple sites and in multiple code-bases and be able to start tracking events in Bento. Even if I was not using Bento for it's email marketing platform (which is obviously one of it's strengths), there is SO much potential because of the incredible, and sometimes overwhelming, features that the founder has created. The tracking, flows (even if you don't end up sending an email in those flows), integrations, even basic support/chat channels is second to none. For the price, I feel like I have 10 tools in one and it's a steal.

Cons

Honestly, anything that I've disliked about Bento has been solved within hours thanks so the incredible support (Discord) by the founder and community.

Overall, Bento has been a really positive experience. It’s simple, well organised, and easy to use without feeling overcomplicated. It helped keep things clear and saved time, which made the whole process feel smooth and low-fuss.

Pros

I liked how easy Bento was to use. It felt clean, straightforward, and didn’t take much effort to get set up or understand. Everything was organised well, which made it simple to manage without a lot of back and forth.

Cons

There wasn’t much I disliked. If I had to pick something, a bit more guidance or detail upfront would make it even easier to get the most out of it, especially when you’re first getting started.

### "The Greatest Email Marketing Software Of All Time"

August 7, 2025

5.0

The system itself helps you to have great deliverability on it's own, by simply following the given instructions inside their onboarding within the web app itself.. The \[sensitive content hidden\] is there to help with supporting customers, he works day in and day out to help us learn and improve our user experience so that we can get the results from bento.. I've tried out so much other email marketing software, and I have to say Bento is by far the best email marketing software out there, no questions about it.. Their Support, Their Tracking System, Their AI writer, Their Automation System, Their Sending Limits, Their Deliverability.. I have to say everything is overall Impressive

Pros

Amazing Support, plus I had issues with deliverability they helped me fix it all.. The system itself helps you to have great deliverability on it's own, by simply following the given instructions inside their onboarding within the web app itself.. Also their tracking system, oh my god.. this is big.. this system tells you exactly what each user (subscriber) has been doing inside your funnel, it's more like a crm, now I can make decisions perfectly with my team.. I know what to say, how to follow up based on the actions the user took within the funnel. Their AI email writer within itself is a whole product.. this thing is insane, I can write two words and it will write a full email with (your chosen tone of voice), also with an amazing direct response marketing copy.. There is also this ai agent chat system that I haven't tried or figured out yet, but I'm sure it's also an amazing feature..

Cons

it's a bit techy to get to use it, but once you get the hang of it, you know why they set it up like this.. I think it's an all in all business tool that helps you track the actions of every single user within

When was the last time you were in regular conversation with the \[sensitive content hidden\] of mailchimp/active campaign. Did they habitually give you free advice on how to send and land in inboxes? The email landscape is constantly changing to be more engagement driven, do you have software or a partner?

Pros

Great value for the money. Deliverability is the best I've had, help in discord is fantastic. I started sending to people when we switched over and people I thought were non-responders started responding like the never received our emails before. They are very helpful and the warmup / batching is so good. I've also made use of the API which is again quite good.

Cons

The interface is a little quirky. Info is often not where I am used to finding it, but it's there and more of it if you take the time. There are some things with fields where you have to memorize the field to add it to a contact vs selecting a list of fields they store from a dropdown and then add it. It's not a lot to do and Im not leaving for the sake of these kinds of things.

Alternatives considered

[ActiveCampaign](https://www.capterra.com/p/79367/ActiveCampaign/)

Reason for choosing Bento

Activecampaign puppygaurds key features like segmentationa and personalization behind expensive plans. Their per contact is very high at that level and I could soon see it costing a mortgage payment. Also interface was really slow, though it did have everything I would have needed

Switched from

[MailerLite](https://www.capterra.com/p/136603/MailerLite/)[Klaviyo](https://www.capterra.com/p/156699/Klaviyo/)

Needed way better deliverability than mailerlite offered. I honestly liked their interface and featureset, but they take anyone and it really showed in their deliverability. Klaviyo was not customizable to our liking
