### "The best CRM I've had the pleasure to use"

December 8, 2024

5.0

Excellent. The features I need without the crazy price tag.

Pros

Easy to set up, the feature set they make available to you without hiding stuff behind a crazy expensive paywall is a delight. The customer support in getting set up has been top-notch. A platform you can tell the people running it truly care about.

Cons

Had a couple of issues with a non-standard implementation and getting custom events tracked from a Woocommerce subscription plugin, but with a bit of help from their excellent documentation, I was able to resolve this.

MailChimp is expensive, and I don't like CRM platforms that tier their pricing based on either email send volume or user count.

### "A great platform for running email for SaaS"

December 15, 2025

5.0

Bento is a solid product. It lets me focus on building my SaaS without having to worry about email deliverability and all that side of things.

Pros

I like Bento for its comprehensive feature suite, and the way the founder quickly responds to support and feedback requests. I also like how it lets me handle transactional email and newsletters in one platform.

Cons

There's nothing in particular. I ran into one issue when onboarding which slowed me down momentarily, but the founder was super responsive in unblocking me.

### "Bento is the bomb - great API, amazing support, sign up and thank me later."

January 18, 2025

5.0

Amazing. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

Pros

I love how great the API is to work with to integrate with my website and Slack. I also love how kind, and FAST support is from the core team and community members on discord (it is shockingly good), I also like the different email editing experiences too which allow me to use a drag n drop, and straight Code editing experience too. Deliverability is great as is the team's deep focus on getting your emails into your customer's inbox.

Cons

I wish the docs on how to warm up an ip were in the beginner section.

### "Strong deliverability, great support"

October 15, 2025

5.0

I run a SaaS and use Bento for onboarding, webinar reminders, receipts, and win-backs. Migration took a day. After switching, inbox placement went up and stays there—deliverability is the reason I’m here.

Pros

Deliverability is 100% for me. Emails land in the inbox, not Spam. Domain setup (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) was simple, and reputation stays clean. Support replies very fast with real fixes, not scripts. Good value.

Cons

A bit more detail can be added documentation but that is not a problem, they are always helping 24/7 when you have problems.

### "Great email platform that is different to others with some minor cons"

December 8, 2024

4.0

I really like Bento because of the built in tracking for website+email. Its easy to just send one off emails or use AI to build more advanced flows to build out a customer journey. It's a great product however I think they should hire one or more staff/ambassadors that help create more video tutorials or help guides for best practices when setting up flows, campaigns and broadcasts.

Pros

Tracking for websites+email is really awesome. The detailed and technical expertise from the \[sensitive content hidden\] in the Discord for support questions is REALLY good. The set up process for tracking is easy. Creating a flow is really awesome once you get the hang of it. Theres a lot of features in Bento that is impressive.

Cons

Takes a while to understand and set up. The trial was not enough time for me to fully understand and use the product as a one man business owner. I tried to get a demo walkthrough but it got cancelled. Would probably need some more staff that do demos of the product, or have more video tutorials showcasing how to set things up. Its not for the complete beginner I'd say.

### "Best for Small Business"

December 28, 2024

5.0

Very positive, glad I found Bento as an email marketing provider and they have streamlined our marketing needs into one app, and are more affordable (considerably) than other providers.

Pros

Super easy and user intuitive - they focus on HOW the software works and how users understand instead of focusing entirely on UX that doesn't matter.

Cons

The site and app are slower than other competitors. Emails aren't sent out as quick and even preview-emails can have a 5-10 min delay. They also continue to integrate new features which introduces the inevitable 'product creep'.

### "Solid product, fast support, excellent price"

November 5, 2024

5.0

Solid product, fast support, excellent price. Satisfied customer

Pros

All the power of the biggest marketing automation softwares but at a fraction of the cost. Bento integrates with everything and pull all our data together in one location. Also getting support directly from the founder is a huge plus. Responses are faster than any software support I've ever used.

Cons

There's a steeper learning curve to use bento than other marketing automation software. It can feel almost too customizable. But if you're looking for extreme flexibility in your automations you'll love this tool.

### "Moved to Bento from Hubspot and never looked back!"

September 9, 2024

5.0

Great experience so far. We transitioned from Hubspot. It's 1/5th the cost, has much better support, and is easier & faster to use. The API has been a joy to use compared to Hubspot. Super happy we made the switch!

Pros

It's very fast to navigate and move around. The support is phenomenal and the power user touches are everywhere. There is also a very big focus on deliverability, and making sure you have things setup correctly.

Cons

It can take a bit to figure out how it all works - it's laid out a little differently than 'traditional' CRM or email marketing software. But once you get it's point of view, everything makes sense!

### "Something special about this one"

June 22, 2024

5.0

Pros

Somewhere in their community Discord, \[sensitive content hidden\] mentioned recently that once a new Bento user sends their first broadcast and sets up a flow/sequence that Bento just clicks and then they become a longtime user of the platform. Well, I decided to put that to the test, because as I was just starting out I was getting a bit frustrated by some of the little things here and there was a small part of me that was worried Bento wouldn't be a good fit. But I pushed through -- largely because of the positive attitudes and helpful culture of their Discord community -- and created a campaign last week with 4 broadcasts (segmented manually from exports from my old platform cause that's still my comfort zone). Then I set up a sequence that could be triggered manually by a power action or someday down the line automatically via a flow on the off chance that a few of the 40 or so clients I sent those broadcasts to converted. Now, a few days later, 3 of them have converted on ARR subscriptions totaling exactly what my Bento subscription annual cost is. And he was right. It clicked. There's something just right about the mix of broadcasts, sequences, and flows in Bento paired with the small touches like being able to send 1-off broadcasts to a single contact if you missed them in your targeting or want to be a bit more high touch. It's just so flexible.

Cons

The platform is so flexible and robust, you can do almost anything if you know how. But that makes it a little daunting for new users just trying to wrap their head around the design and functional philosophies unique to Bento. I highly suggest joining their Discord (big button in the top right of the dashboard) and engaging with the users there, \[sensitive content hidden\] and his team. They'll help you more than you could expect or set you on the right path if they can't.

### "Great CRM tool for any startup"

Excellent. Quick to implement and support would respond and resolve issues in hours.

Pros

Second to none in customer service, with easily contactable founders through discord. Excellent support for custom workflows, and create range of features included as standard.

Cons

### "Outstanding email marketing platform"

May 21, 2024

5.0

Overall I am extremely happy with Bento. I started off using them with 1 of my websites but I'm going to use them for all of my websites now. The customer support is top notch which makes it an easy choice.

Pros

Bento is highly focused on email deliverability. There's a ton of things within that app that prevent you from common gotchas I've ran into on other platforms. You can broadcast out emails to your entire email list, and you can setup flows for email automation. Bento has all of the features you would expect from an email marketing platform, but the standout thing to me is the customer service. You essentially get 1:1 support from the creator of Bento, and if you ever have a problem you'll always get a response. Email is deceptively complicated so having this level of customer support puts it by above every other email platform.

Cons

There's only one con, and that it took me a bit to learn the platform. It's not as simple as going in there and sending emails (which is expected). You'll need to take some time watching the onboarding videos and setting up your flows and forms.

### "Favorite email campaign software by far"

May 13, 2024

5.0

Pros

What I love most about Bento is the personal touch and support from the Founder, power and flexibility of the campaign management features, brisk and responsive development speed, and overall insanely high value for the money. It's a product that, in my opinion, is built with love and a deep care for quality tooling.

Cons

The only real downsides so far for us are that because of the complexity (that enables so much functionality) onboarding team members, and even getting an initial grasp of the 'Bento way', can be a little more involved than it might be otherwise. I would not change that, though.

November 15, 2023

Everything is so smooth, and most important IT WORKS! Honestly, I can't describe how happy I am about using Bento, it's a backbone for my business since I write on a daily basis and it's one of the few platforms that doesn't punish my creativity at all. It always surprises me how quickly the owner/developer respond to any request! Bento works well with everything on my stack. I'm a extremely happy customer :)

Pros

\- The ability to add multiple sites in just 1 subscription - Analytics out of the box - Outstanding deliverability - Free spam checker - The friendly & top-notch customer service - Affordable pricing

Cons

### "Marketing automation done right"

July 25, 2023

5.0

Bento has allowed us to create evergreen sequences and marketing automation sequences that we can rely on.It's one of the products I recommend the most to people when they ask me about marketing automation for their businesses.

Pros

Bento offers an incredibly easy and powerful way to manage your entire marketing automation journey. You are able to track actions by anonymous visitors, tie their identity to past actions once provided, nurture them with flows and sequences that are incredibly flexible and then continue to engage and provide customer support to them through the Bento Chat product. The developer is also extremely quick at adding new features when the community asks for them.

Cons

The only con for me has been that Bento does have a slight learning curve, simply because it packs a lot under the hood. Some more shareable templates or ready made packages for newbies would make the experience a bit smoother. It's eCommerce focused features could be padded out a bit too (However I know it's in the pipeline so just need to be patient).

### "Best mix of developer and non-developer features"

September 6, 2023

5.0

My experience with Bento has been very positive. Their Discord community is really helpful and the system is very intuitive.

Pros

As a developer myself, I hate things that only offer WYSIWYG editors for everything leaving me pretty frustrated that I'm unable to leverage my developer tools. Bento offers both in a very unique, easy to implement system. Their service is off the chain. The \[sensitive content hidden\] of the company will even hop on a video conference with you if you need help.

Cons

I really can't think of anything I'm missing with this system.

### "Never looking back "

10/10 – couldn't recommend more highly.

Pros

The attention to detail from the founding team is unmatched by any other software company. I'm constantly impressed by Jesse's ability to push ahead and ship features (faster than some companies with dozens of software developers on their payroll).

Cons

If there was one thing I'd have to criticize, which is not something that we'd actively use/want but it is something that clients often request it would be Bento's ability to have responsive email templates, etc. That being said, as far as I'm aware this is a WIP so by the time you're ready this review – this may no longer be relevant. 🙂

### "The Best Email Marketing Platform I've Used"

April 6, 2024

5.0

After finding your way around Bento's UI and understanding what it's capable of, you won't want to use any other email marketing tool.

Pros

It has very simple list-size based pricing, and you get all the features no matter what. The email marketing piece is great by itself, but when you layer in Flows, you can take the automation of your marketing to a whole other level. The support is also personalized and community based, which makes getting help very easy.

Cons

From a business perspective, choosing a small team like Bento (vs a large corporation) could be a risk for some, but there are emergency safeguards in place, so I'm personally not worried. From a technical perspective, I haven't experienced any significant shortcomings. At the time of writing, there is no Android app which make monitoring live chat slightly limited.

### "The Developer-First Email Platform You're Missing"

August 7, 2023

5.0

I use Bento primarily to keep track of events that happen within my application. Then, I use those events to send emails to my users or to just make sure I know how my users are using my platform. Additionally, I use the simple customer support tools within Bento to answer support chats/emails directly in Slack.

Pros

Bento is incredibly simple. As a developer, I was able to set up Bento on multiple sites and in multiple code-bases and be able to start tracking events in Bento. Even if I was not using Bento for it's email marketing platform (which is obviously one of it's strengths), there is SO much potential because of the incredible, and sometimes overwhelming, features that the founder has created. The tracking, flows (even if you don't end up sending an email in those flows), integrations, even basic support/chat channels is second to none. For the price, I feel like I have 10 tools in one and it's a steal.

Cons

Cons
